~ Chapter 8 ~

2024-10-29 19:42:56Religious class was the last class I had for the day. No yoga today. I dropped at the cafe looking around for David. I didn't spot him at class. We always seat together. I saw him seating at our usual corner and walked up to him.
"I didn't see you in class" I took the seat next to him.
"Yeah....I got stuck up at home" he said lowly. There was an off tone to his voice but I didn't want to push it. David always told me when something was wrong.
"Oh...alright. are you ok?"
He nodded and then stared at me. "Have you seen Scott today?" He surprise me by asking. I blinked. "Sorry....I just thought you guys were close"
"We're..... friends" I told him. David nodded.
"I haven't seen him today" I answered truthfully. We were supposed to hang out this evening but he hasn't even showed up. I haven't seen him since that night he saw me and David together. And that's two days ago.

Scott pulled me out of the water until we were back in his trunk again. I thought I blanked out. I literally swallowed a lot of water through my nose. Scott removed the blanket from the floor of the trunk."Take your shirt off" he said. I know this is not the time to argue so I pulled the wet material up and over my head. Scott's eyes blazed on my skin before he wrapped me up in the blanket. I touched my cheeks sure they were flushing red. I was putting on a cotton bra. Not so attractive. But Scott didn't call me out on it. I don't have classes today because it's Saturday but I went to grab some books from the library anyway. I'm working on an assignment. Since I was in school, I just stopped by that cafe to grab coffee. Usually, it's me and David but he's not here now. I wasn't so surprised to see few students were at the cafe but I smiled when a familiar red head waved at me.Kale. Scott's friend from the other day. He jogged up to me leaving his bunch of friends. I tried on the last gown there was to try. I and Rose picked a lot. All of different colours and sizes. All were cute and pretty but this white one really caught my eyes. I stared at myself in the mirror. it has a lace neck, it's not cut too low but sure to show some of my chest. It was short to my knee and flay like a ballet gown. Definitely a garden party dress.. I smiled as i walked out and Rose had that same expression I had on my face on her. Storm POV"You don't like it?" I asked him. He seemed to be struggling with the right word to say and then he scratched behind his head. A nervous habit. I narrowed my eyes. David led me to where a tall slim woman with blonde hair stood. I suppose she's David's mom. They had the same hair colour, only hers were darker blonde. Her eyes were light brown like her sons. He went and kissed her cheek."Mom...this is Storm" he said. I pushed my hand out to shake the woman. her smile was heart warming. Her hands were soft and tender. She smiled at me."Nice to meet you dear. David has told me a lot about you" she huffs and I grin."Good things I hope" I smiled. David winked at me and I chuckled. Scott came up behind me and handed me a glass of what I assume is strawberry drink. I rolled my eyes at him. Everyone else gets wine."Scott honey. The lady intended to place her hands round Scott's shoulder but he gave her a stare so she just clapped her hands together. I chuckled. What a kill joy."I'm Storm" I said . I have my hair In a loose bun by the time I'm out for the shower, I oiled my skin, making it glow so bright. My eyes are no longer dull, my lip is no longer twitched in an annoying manner. I feel happy with myself. Happy that I'm happy within. The very person that's brought me sorrow in the last few months is now the same person making me happy. He's always been the one making me happy.And even when he couldn't remember me, somtimes I sat and thought of what could've been, or what had been. I visited the lake so many times, remembering the time I went there with Scott.
