After Cannon finalized the project plan, work load became too much and a week passed as if in the blink of an eye.

Elaine could feel Cannon was supporting her with the project work as much as he could but remaining in his professional boundaries. And Elaine couldn't help appreciating his effort this time.

Cannon would look up at her in between with hopeful eyes that she would open up and talk to him but Elaine didn't.
