“Ohhh, cute neck piece.” Daiya winked at me, her fiery red curls bouncing as she walked out of the office with my file in hand.
I didn’t even get to thank her for the compliment.
She isn’t the first person to comment on it. Since I’d come to work, many people I ran into noticed it. I had thought of tucking it under my shirt because of the attention it was getting.
