Atlas and I shared a glance as the men walked into the house. I noticed they were all going in the same direction.

“Don’t you want to go with them?” I asked Atlas, who looked content standing beside me as men he didn’t know moved to raid his house. Looking for my sit sister that we both know was’t here because he wasn’t honking her hostage.

A small part of me wondered what if they actually found her? But I waved that thought off, knowing they probably would’t, since we couldn’t either. I was suddenly hoping she was’t even here so that whatever they thought they had would be nothing.

“There’s no need. They’ll come back with nothing.”

I dob’t know for how long we stood there but it definitely wasn’t for long. Which was why when I saw the men coming back, I realised a breath I didn’t know I was holding.
