Even though I told Antonio that I was fine ad I pretended I was. I wasn’t and I wanted to be. And I think that is why it hurt so much.

He didn’t say much, didn’t argue with me either. Though he could clearly see that I was out of it.

“Do you want to get out of here?” He asks and I nodded, even before he was done with the question.

He got up and took my hand then dragged me back to his car. We didn’t say anything to each other then. But I couldn’t deny how much I was aware of my hand in his. I saw how he kept turning back to look at me. Like he had to be sure I was still there.

The valet brought the car to the front and he opened the door for me. Instead of entering I turned and wrapped my arms around him, pulling him into a unexpected hug.

He was take aback because it takes him a few seconds to relax and then hug me back.

“Thank you.” I whispered against his chest.
