Everything that happened last night, mostly Damien’s presence ad him mentioning Atlas, ruined the entire evening for me.

I understood the whole, ‘don’t let anyone get in the way of your peace’ thing but it was still annoying as hell.

Dad, being amazing as he was, noticed how I was’t really in the mood to socialise and he asked if I wanted to leave early. I took the invitation so fast that he laughed. He said the necessary goodbyes and then we were on our way.

He didn’t ask why I was acting that way he’d only pecked me on the forehead goodnight when he went up with me to my apartment. Then he said he hopes I will feel better in the morning.

Could I really ask for abetter dad? He was understanding and loving and very attentive. I was almost in my mid twenties but I couldn’t help the childlike giddiness that always fills me when he is near.
