Alvaro

I was deep in thought as I remembered my mate— I failed to protect her, she was dead because of my incompetence.

Not only her, I’ve been a terrible Alpha for months now, I can barely protect my people and it’s high time I take a bold step, this must end.

If I had been more competent then this wouldn’t have happened. My wolf Alejandro was in so much pain, for days all he did was meditate without saying a word for me.

It was torture. I remembered the words of my wife, Juan must never be trained by any woman, except my mate— his chances of having a mother just reduced from 50 to 0, all because of my bad governance.

Maybe the Gamma is right, I’m not fit to rule, I should step down and let him rule, that way he’d take care of the pack.

“Daddy!” Juan’s loud voice snapped me out of my trance and I smiled faintly, welcoming him in my arms.

“How are you? Did you have fun outside?” I asked and he nodded. “Let’s take a stroll.” He suggested and I nodded, moving everything aside as I got

Ximena“Common, Ximena, we need to bury father.” Kushim muttered as he sat on the floor beside me. I was staring into the abyss, wondering how mother would cope without her mate, the man she had loved all her life.“It’s fine— We need to be strong for mom. We need to comfort her— Let’s go.” He urged as he stood up and stretched his hand out to me which I accepted with a faint smile. We both headed to the house where people were with Aarav trying to comfort mom who couldn’t stop sobbing.“It’ll be fine mom, we need to perform the rites.” I muttered and she nodded, finding it hard to control her tears. The next day the burial rites began and after fulfilling everything, father’s body was burnt and his ashes were scattered across the river. It was a very painful day and I just wanted it to be over, I wanted it to be some crazy dream I’d be waking up from but it was real as hell and I couldn’t stop sobbing as his ashes disappeared in the water the same way he’s disappearing from our lives

XIMENA“No— You can’t be serious about this— Why should we start from the border when there are other places to protect?” Mark demanded and I noticed that Beta Dhruv couldn’t get his eyes off me.It made me very uncomfortable because I couldn’t stop trying to figure out why he was staring at me. Of course he was shocked when he saw me and he stuttered when we first spoke but it wasn’t enough of an excuse for him to keep staring at me like I was some sort of ghost.“Mark, a faulty border would result in an accessible pack. We need to settle the borders first before thinking about the inside. We place guards on every border, every damned route both secret and public that leads outside of this pack and we instruct guards to keep a record of everyone coming and going out.” I suggested and he shook his head slightly.“I don’t know— That’s not what we do—“ He pointed out, reminding me about the shadow pack and I smiled. “That’s because the pack borders are strong. They’re different from t

AlvaroShock was an understatement for how I felt, I was speechless. “I’ll go after her.” A guard muttered and I raised my hand. “No, let her be.” I replied and Dhruv came to me while Juan was in shock as he stared at me with confusion.“Daddy, what’s going on? Do you know Ena?” He asked naively and I sighed heavily, I tried to still my racing heart, the way it pounded only made the pain I felt more excruciating.“It’s complicated. Dhruv, take Juan away. Daddy needs to settle some things, okay. Don’t worry about what just happened.” He looked like he wanted to protest but as a good boy, he nodded and walked away with Dhruv.“Alpha Alvaro, I’m very sorry for what just transpired. I’m Mark and I will make sure she apologizes for what she just did.” He pleaded and I nodded.“Just go.” I replied and he bowed before leaving. Without anybody in the room, I could face my conflicting emotions.“Mate is alive— She’s not dead— There’s still hope.” Alejandro announced excited

XimenaGetting home, I went straight into mom’s arms, breaking down immediately. “My heart is still in pain— I can’t seem to let go of him.” I cried softly and she patted my back.“With time, you will heal— Just focus on other things but him.” She advised and I nodded, sniffing and trying to stop the tears but they just kept gushing out.“It’s okay to still be in love, the bond is something we can’t describe. Don’t be too hard on yourself.” She whispered and I just kept crying, wishing my heart was immune.“I’ll be in my room.” I replied after a prolonged silence and rushed off before she could stare at me with pity. I wanted someone to comfort me, not pity me.Getting to my room, I fell to my knees weakly, my back pressed against the door as I sobbed uncontrollably, his words echoing in my head as I wished it could just go away.I’m a weakling, he rejected me because I was too weak to help the pack— So what now? If he apologizes, does that mean he wants me back? Would I foolishly put

Alvaro“Do you think she’ll come?” Juan asked for the hundredth time as he kept staring at the door while we both stood very close to the podium, welcoming all the visitors. He was frantically staring at the door, his excitement gradually getting replaced with disappointment. He hadn’t asked a thing about what had happened earlier and I was grateful for that. He had a small bouquet of roses in his hands which he kept arranging every passing minute and I made a small prayer to the goddess, pleading for her to make Ximena come to the party, if not for my sake but for that of Juan. The door flung open and behold, an angel stood at the entrance and believe me when I say, I wasn't the only one basking in her beauty and mesmerized by her presence. She was radiating a special kind of beauty that was second to none and peculiarly attractive. Everything about her screamed elegance, grace and sultriness. From where I stood, I could smell her fragrance, it was absolutely divine and I could almos

XimenaI enjoyed the great attention I was getting from everyone, especially Emiliano who had nothing to do but stare at me.I was slowly sipping juice when an old Alpha approached me. I could tell he was an Alpha because of his aura and he sat close to me, proudly upsetting the guys who had been staring at me, of which Alpha Alvaro was among. The look on his face was priceless and it was so satisfying to watch him. “I’m Alpha Gonzalo, I’m sure you must’ve heard of me.” He introduced and whether shock was written on my face, I tried my best to conceal it.Alpha Gonzalo— The famous Alpha who was ruthlessly known for being selfish, a man who was willing to trade his whole family just for his business? The man who had allowed his sister to be killed because he didn’t want to pay any ransom to her abductors even though he had a lot more than what they demanded.A cold shiver trickled down my spine and the juice suddenly turned bland. I wanted something stronger to keep my head high and no

Alvaro “What are you doing here? Didn’t you follow the other group?” Ximena demanded the moment she saw me, she didn’t look pleased one bit. We had all decided to go to every border with a group but I decided to follow her. “No, I decided to follow this group.” I replied, trying to sound very convincing. “I’m only trying to do my job, please don’t get in my way.” She muttered before walking away and I exhaled deeply. Looking at the North border, I wasn’t pleased with how everything was and neither was she. Her displeasure was very evident. “The borders are these bad and you’re complaining about being attacked, is this some sort of joke.” She snarled under her breath. Her intelligence knew no bounds and I kept questioning myself if she was still my mate, Ximena or a new person in the same body. “I didn’t know the border was like this. I know the other borders are fine and even if it was faulty, it’d have been reported to me and I’d have done something about it—“ “The— It was re

Ximena“Good morning mom.” I muttered softly as she smiled at me, muttering a response. I felt very weak and tired, heading to the kitchen, I stopped when Aarav spoke.“A package came for you.” He muttered and I raised a brow. “Package? Do you mean my car? Grandmother sent it already?” I asked and he shook his head.“No, from the Alpha. It says, "thank you for saving me with a love emoji.” My mood turned sour as I frowned.“Why did you accept this?” I demanded, gasping in shock when I saw two big bags which the goddess knew what they’d contain, probably jewellery and whatever material thing he thinks can buy my forgiveness.“I didn’t— It would be rude to reject the gift of an Alpha, you might be able to do it but I’m not bold enough.” Kushim replied with a faint smile and I scoffed.“Gosh!” I whispered as I went upstairs back, I went to get a change of clothes because there was no way I’d be accepting any gift from him.“What’s wrong?” Aarav yelled after me but I was too infuriated to

Is this how you want to back down! After she decided to destroy my men! Do you like what she did? Are you going to wait until she kills all of us too?” He thundered, his voice rumbling inside the deep mountain. They were in a deep cave in the mountains, this was their abode and while the others went out to hunt for food and fight, the rogue king remained there, getting served by the rest.If any new feral wolf was caught, he’d be the one to decide whether the person got to die or join them. “N

XimenaFor days, I found myself licking my lips and everytime I could taste him, I could scent him, feel him and breathe him.Ever since we kissed, that was the only thing. I tried my best to avoid him and although we never saw each other face to face, I always glanced at him from a distance, making sure he didn’t see me.I couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong with me but there was a wanton part of me that needed to be satiated with more than just a kiss, more than just touch.“Ximena, are you okay?” Juan asked, patting me and I almost jerked in fright.“Gosh, I’m okay.” I muttered disorderly and he stared at me for a few seconds, unconvinced and I almost burst into laughter. If only he knew the only reason his coach was unavailable was because of his sexy father.“You’re thinking about something, is something bothering you? Do you wanna share it?” He seemed so sweet and for a second I felt guilty but damn, the thought of guilty pleasure was even more terrifying as

Ximena“I’m sorry I can’t accept this…” My words hung in the air. Only the goddess knew what made me walk into his office without knocking.I couldn’t take my eyes away, I was staring, without shame. He was dressed in a black shirt which had been unbuttoned. His chest was glistening and his biceps moved in the most seductive way ever. Trying hard to control myself, I looked away and my gaze returned to his chest almost immediately.I swallowed the lump in my throat, I wanted to stop myself from drooling but it seemed too difficult a job for me.I couldn’t believe I was acting so shamefully but I couldn’t take my eyes away either. His hair was wet and the way little droplets of water rolled down his chest made my heart race terribly while my eyes followed the movement, watching it disappear further and further into his pleasing body.My hands burned, I wanted to touch and feel his skin, feel the warmth, graze my hand around. “Ximena.” He called softly, a mischievous smile on his face.

Ximena“Ximena— Wake up.” I heard the softest whisper whisper as I peeled my eyes open sluggishly, a frown settling on my face as I groaned drowsily.“What?” I asked with confusion, unable to register where I was or why I was being woken up.“It’s me, Alvaro, the power supply has been restored, let’s go.” He explained and I nodded, understanding his words instantly and a small frown appeared on my face as I rose with his help.“Are you okay? Should I carry you?” He demanded and my eyes snapped open in astonishment.“No.” I glared at him and he concealed a smile as we walked away. We entered the elevator to see Dhruv waiting for us.“What happened? How did the power go out and why did it take so long for you to fix it?” Alvaro demanded immediately.“It was cut, we suspect someone must’ve done it but we can’t find anything or evidence leading to the person. I got the electricians to fix it, that was why it took so long.” He explained and my brows creased as the first person that appeare

He wrapped his hand around mine tightly, taking the lead first as he walked towards the elevator cautiously. We tried to open the elevator but it seemed like the whole power supply had been cut off and this came as a huge shock to us because the pack had constant electricity, it was only a major issue that could cause power outage or if someone intentionally cut off the light but this was a far guess because we were the only one in the training center.“Call the beta or anybody.” I suggested and he nodded, whipping his phone out of his pocket and he frowned heavily when he realized he had a very low battery.“Where’s your phone?” He asked. “I left it in the car, I thought I wouldn’t be spending time inside.” I replied, blushing slightly as I tried not to show any emotions.“I’ll send a text to him now and try calling if we can…”“I’m trying to mindlink my brothers but it’s not going

Ximena Today we decided to visit the training center. It was concluded that we couldn’t continue using the pack house to train since it didn’t have most of the facilities we wanted. I had a small smile on my face as I drove into the training center, it was my first time seeing it and it was damn huge and beautiful. “It looks nice, it can’t be compared to that of the Shadow pack but it’s okay.” Mark mumbled beside me and I stared at him with a frown, wondering why he was comparing both packs now. “Why are you comparing? What matters is that we get a place to train and after training, we conquer the rogues and any other pack that wants to attack us.” I emphasized and he nodded with a shrug. “But have you thought about us leaving? I mean we’ve been here for over a month now, soon we’ll wrap things up and leave.” He sounded like it was gonna be tomorrow and I felt a jab in my heart, I hadn't thought about leaving and I didn’t want to. “We'll cross that bridge when we get there, for n

After all he did?” Mark demanded, his voice filled with slight fury.“My personal life is none of your business, Mark.” I replied coldly and he backed away a little.“I’m sorry, I don’t mean to piss you off, it’s just that we’re friends an

She was definitely in heat and I could tell she was trying her best to hide it but with the weather, it was difficult to conceal such a great need.“It’s okay, it’s a completely normal thing…”“Is this why you came here? Because you knew I’d be in heat very soon and you think you’ll have a chance with me? Let me tell you, you’re mistaken…” She was still speaking when I pulled her into my arms swiftly, letting my nostrils get filled with her scent. That was all it took to ignite fire inside of Alejandro and seeing she was in heat, her scent was musky and erotically pleasing but I would never do anything to her.“Trust me, I won’t do anything to you… not in this state and not now.” I added and she glanced at me with a frown.“Shhh, just stay here and
