“I…” he cleared his throat awkwardly, avoiding her eyes. “I'll get something in the closet for you to wear.”

He didn't even wait for a reason before rushing over to the closet.

Ariella watched him with an amused expression. He scampered through the wardrobe, shaking his head with incoherent complaints.

Deciding to ease his stress, Ariella wrapped the sheets around her body and pushed herself out of bed. A small cuss fell off her lips as soon as her feet touched the ground.

She sucked it in and walked towards the closet to pick something to wear.

“What do you think you're doing? Go back to bed, I'll pick something for you,” he tried to shoo her away.

“You're not exactly doing a great job, Kelvin. If I leave you to it, my legs would be all swollen by the time you're done and even then, we will never make it to the hospital because you will still be deciding if it suits my skin tone,” she stated.
