Third pov

The wedding guest was filled with tension; some had fled the party to avoid being caught in a violent confrontation.

The curious ones remained, eager to spread the news about the three rival Mafia lords who were intent on tearing each other apart.

Everyone could sense the tension in the air as soon as Dominic entered. Anger and rage surged in Ivan and Vincent's hearts at the sight of him.

After all, everyone knew that Dominic was not one to shy away from trouble. His arrival here had earned him a great deal of respect from the men for his fearlessness. No one truly knew the backstory involving the three dons, but everyone was aware that it all revolved around one woman: Clarissa.

The guests were well aware of Dominic's recent theft of the bride less than three months ago, and now she was officially married to Ivan.

Everyone noticed the way Dominic looked at the bride, unashamed despite the eyes on him.

Vincent lurked in the corner, watching his cousin, who didn’t even

It was here—the culmination of weeks of patience, planning, and silent rage. The satisfaction coursing through me was almost euphoric. I turned and strode forward, my boots crunching on the gravel beneath my feet. Behind me, Aiden followed like a loyal shadow. “How are they?” I asked over my shoulder, my voice calm but edged with the cold curiosity that came naturally to me now. He didn’t miss a beat, smirking as he responded. “Scared. Just like you wanted them to be.” “Good,” I muttered. That single word was enough to convey how I felt. The tension in the air was almost palpable as I entered the garden. The soft scent of jasmine and damp soil wafted through the air, but I barely noticed it. My attention was locked on the group of men standing ahead.

“Aiden,” I said, glancing back at him. “See them out. Ensure they leave with a reminder of what happens when loyalty falters.”“Yes, Don,” Aiden replied with a sharp nod, his grin broadening.“Wait!” Nas shouted, panic evident in his voice. He rushed forward, still on his knees, hands reaching out in desperation. “Don, please. We’ve risked everything to come here. You have to trust us!” he pleaded.I turned to face him, his presence making me feel nauseous. He was right there when I was cast out of the mafia, watching as I was thrown out of what I had dedicated my life to build, and he did nothing. I was certain Vincent couldn't give them the attention they needed, which was likely why they had come back to me, seeking my help to restore what had been lost. He was like a snake.I turned slowly, my expression icy as I locked eyes with him. “Believe you?” I echoed, my voice dripping with contempt. “You expect me to trust the same men who stood by while I was hunted, the same men who tar

Just as I was about to collapse onto the ground, Lily rushed in.“Come on, Clarissa, we need to go,” she called out, and I looked at her in confusion, wondering what she meant by "go where?"There was nowhere I could go where he wouldn't find me; I knew that, and I was bound to him for a lifetime.“Leave me alone, Lily, I'm exhausted,” I sobbed, trying desperately to wipe away my tears. But before I could say anything more, Lily came and sat down in front of me.“Ivan won't be a problem anymore, so now we have to get moving,” she said, and I stared at her in shock, trying to understand what she meant.“What do you mean Ivan won't be a problem anymore?” I asked as I allowed her to help me to my feet.“Let’s just say Dominic came up with a game changer. Dominic and Vincent's plan backfired, and now they are in the thick of the trouble they created,” she smiled. My eyes widened, and she pulled me into a hug. I held her bac

Just as I opened my mouth to unleash everything I’d been bottling inside, I felt a presence beside me.Dominic.His hand was on my shoulder, firm but calming. I turned to look at him, my anger still simmering just beneath the surface. His dark eyes locked onto mine, grounding me in a way I hadn’t realized I needed. He leaned in close, his voice low and steady.“He’s not worth it,” he said softly, his words cutting through the haze of fury clouding my mind. “You don’t need to say anything,”He said.I hesitated, my anger wavering. Then he pulled me into a tight embrace. The weight of his arms around me was both comforting and suffocating, a reminder of everything we’d been through—everything he had lost. A tear slipped down my cheek as I looked up at him. The pain in his eyes mirrored my own, and my anger dissolved into sadness. He had lost his

I wasn't sure how long we had been on air, but I woke up to the sound of my baby crying. I found myself wondering how Lily was coping after losing her brother in this senseless war. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door that startled me. "Come in," I called out, expecting it to be the flight attendant, but to my surprise, Dominic walked in. I straightened up and stood to my feet, holding my baby. He approached me and pulled me into a hug. "Sit down; I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself," he said in a low voice. I could see how stressed and down he was, and I felt for him too. Losing a close friend is never easy, and from the moment I met Dominic, I had known about his friend, Aiden. I sat down as my baby fussed in my arms. "When are we going to get to the airport?" I asked him as he settled beside me. "Soon, we'll be there," he mumbled, smiling at me. "Can I hold him?" he asked, and I nodded as I handed Leonardo over to him. Leonardo laughed and smiled, as if he recognized his

I sat there, my legs trembling as my heart raced from the chaos of the past few hours. The mere thought of Vincent had me angry. My eyes were fixed on the floor, the fabric of my wedding dress pooling around me like an illusion of the happiness I had tried to create. I looked up to Dominic, his expression a mix of relief and pain. He reached out to me slowly, reaching out for my hands. His touch was gentle, almost reverent, as if he couldn’t believe I was real. “He’ll pay,” he said, his voice firm, yet laced with emotion. His eyes burned with a fire I hadn’t seen in a long time. “I know how he’ll pay, but for now…” He smiled faintly and squeezed my hands. “For now, let’s rejoice. I’m just so happy to have you back.”he said as he gave me a small smile, which i returned.I blinked, unsure of how to respond. He moved closer, his fingers brushing a stray lock of hair from my face. The plane touched down smoothly, and I shifted Leo slightly in my arms, careful not to disturb his peaceful sleep. His small, warm body was pressed against mine, his tiny breaths soft against my shoulder. I cradled him closer, shielding him instinctively from the cool breeze that filtered in as the plane door opened. I didn’t want him to wake; he’d barely slept during the flight. The flight attendant, the same one who’d been so kind earlier, held the small bag I’d carried on. She offered a sympathetic smile. “Here you go,” she said softly, handing it to me as we walked down the stairs to the waiting car. “Have a safe trip.”“Thank you,” I murmured, my voice just as quiet. With Leo asleep, every sound felt amplified. A sleek black SUV waited at the base of the stairs, the driver stepping forward to open the door for me. I climbed in carefully, still holding Leo close. Once settled, the car eased away from the tarmac. The hum of the engine was soothing, but my mind was far from cal

Can you believe that on my very first day in my marital home, I have to see not just a picture of my husband but also one of him with his ex-wife?” she shouted dramatically. “Don’t you dare treat her like that!” I retorted, my voice shaking with anger. Camilla shifted her glare toward me, her eyes narrowing dangerously. “What did you just say to me?” she spat, stepping closer. “I said don’t you dare hit another person like that,” I replied, my voice now steady. A year laterEverything had been going well; for the first time in my life, I didn’t have to run or live in fear. After the conflict, we held a large burial for the men who had lost their lives while protecting me and Harper.I ensured she received a proper burial, as she had sacrificed her life to save me in the end. She had been a wonderful sister, even though I had pushed her away time and again. We began to rebuild, and new laws were established within the mafia. Dominic sold our old house and moved us to the countryside. Everything seemed to be going smoothly; we renewed our vows after all the people we once knew were gone.It was just the two of us. We hadn’t heard from Valentina since then, only that they had paid a hefty price for killing our men. The last I heard, Valentino was forced to marry Camilla to a drug baron as their economy collapsed. It turned out they had gone bankrupt, which explained why they had tried to take everything from us.Life with Dominic has been wonder

Dominic squeezed the trigger, and the silencer did an excellent job of concealing the sound, preventing the men from realizing that their leader had been shot. For a brief moment, I feared he had killed her—that Valentina was lifeless. However, as she fell to the ground, clutching her shoulder, it became clear that he hadn’t delivered a fatal shot. He had only wounded her, just enough to ensure her survival but render her unable to defend herself.Initially, I thought his plan was foolish, but I placed my trust in him. He had used her to help us escape, a feat that had seemed impossible just moments ago. I had nearly lost hope of ever being alive or seeing my son again, but he made it a reality. We were finally safe.Dominic approached me, his dark eyes searching my face before he enveloped us both in his strong, steady embrace. It felt secure. I took a deep breath, burying my face in his chest. It was finally over."You can go now," he whispered, pressing his lips gently against my f

After my confrontation with both of them, theydraged me toward a van. My head throbbed, and my vision was blurry, but I could still make out the figures around me. Someone yanked the gun from my grasp as I was shoved into an SUV. Vincent drove, and Camila sat beside me. The sight of her still wearing Clarissa’s dress pissed me off. It was like she was mocking me—mocking us. No one spoke. The air was thick with tension, but I could feel Vincent’s anger radiating off him. I knew exactly why. The words I had said to him earlier still lingered in his mind, cutting deep. As for Camila, she was so rattled that she casually dropped the gun on the seat beside her and turned to stare out the window. It was a careless mistake, and I took full advantage of it. Swiftly, without drawing attention, I palmed the gun. By the time we arrived at the warehouse, my mind was sharp, my pulse steady. As soon as the SUV came to a stop, I opened the door and stepped out. Camila followed, but before

The air grew heavy with tension. My heart pounded as the door swung open again, and Dominic stepped inside. His dark eyes scanned the room, landing on me. My wrists ached from the tight bonds cutting into my skin. My eyes were blindfolded, leaving me in a world of darkness. But I wasn’t alone. There was someone in front of me—singing. A soft, haunting tune. The voice was feminine, sultry, and laced with amusement. I knew it wa sher singing , tauting me.I shifted slightly, testing my restraints. Rope. Tight. No way out. My pulse pounded as I forced myself to breathe evenly. Panicking wouldn’t help me now. "You know," Valentina said, her voice smooth as silk, "I once loved a man."she started. My body stiffened. "I loved him so much, but then I realized men are shit, one moment they love ou and the next the cheat on ou with another woman" She chuckled, a dark, humorless sound. "People are shit." My jaw clenched. I didn’t respond. "I grew to become the only Donna in my county—a female one. And to hold power, I had to be ruthless. There was no room for softness, no space for love." The blindfold was suddenly ripped from my face

  • Chasing His Betrayed Ex-Wife   Chapter 113- The power of greed

Dominic POVI stared at Vincent, whose eyes gleamed with unrestrained greed. He wanted the empire I held—no, he craved it. It wasn’t just about power; it was about proving he was better than me, that he could tear down everything I built and reshape it in his image. I smirked. “This is your idea, isn’t it? This power struggle?” My voice carried amusement, but beneath it lay a sharp edge. Vincent frowned, his lips pressing into a tight line. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he snapped, his tone impatient, defensive. I stepped closer, my gaze never leaving his. “You held the empire for a week—just a week, Vincent—and in that time, everything our family worked so hard to build collapsed.” I let the words sink in, watching the flicker of irritation in his expression. “Now you want it again? To destroy everything and hand it over to these foreigners? Do you really think they’ll let you rule? No, Vincent, they’ll make you their puppet, and you’ll be dancing to their tune fo

  • Chasing His Betrayed Ex-Wife   Chapter 112- To lose everything, or to lose her

Dominic POVI drove like a madman. The engine roared beneath my grip as I pushed the car to its limits, weaving through traffic without care for rules or consequences. My men followed close behind, their headlights flashing in the rearview mirror as they ignored every law in existence just to keep up. I didn't care about the chaos we left behind. The only thing that mattered was her. My hands tightened on the steering wheel, my knuckles turning white. The thought of something happening to her, of losing her forever, made my chest tighten with unbearable fear. I had made a deal with that Mexican witch to take Ivan down, to regain the power that had been stripped from me—but now, the cost was staring me in the face. I should have known it wouldn’t be that simple. But i was deperate , deperate to have her as mine. The mansion came into view, its towering structure bathed in the cold moonlight. • Chasing His Betrayed Ex-Wife   Chapter 111- fear

I stood there, frozen. My breath hitched in my throat, my body locked in place as fear coursed through my veins. The world around me seemed to blur, the sounds distant and muffled, as if I had been submerged underwater. Panic tightened around my chest, squeezing the air from my lungs. "Miss, we need to go!" Elise’s urgent voice cut through the fog of my fear. I snapped back to reality, my wide eyes meeting hers. She was staring at me, her expression filled with alarm. "Now!" she urged, grabbing my wrist. I turned on my heel and ran, my heart pounding against my ribs. Panic took over, and my mind swirled with the worst possibilities. The thought that Harper had been killed, that she was gone, clawed at my sanity. She had been my enemy once, but despite everything, I loved her. No matter what had happened between us, losing her wasn’t something I could bear. Tears blurred my vision as I stepped outside, the cool air hitting my damp face. But I didn’t get far. I stopped dead.
