Getting in the car, I simply fix my uniform hem and look in the mirror above. I felt Lucas glance at me and ask, "Haven't you forgotten anything?"

I shook my head to say no and the car's engine started automatically. "Please fasten your seatbelt."

My forehead scrunches up and mentally asks, why would I wear a seatbelt if its only purpose is to be safe since I can defend myself in case? But in the end I took it back since this is actually the rule of the car. I took a deep breath and pulled my seatbelt over my body and locked it.

I breathed a deep sigh of relief as Lucas began to drive the car away from the packhouse. I was too suffocated earlier because of Agnes. She has become harsher with me now and I feel more that she doesn't want to see me in the packhouse all the time.
