"I look ugly," Ophelia looked away from Finlay so he wouldn't have to stare at her face for too long because she already knew he wasn't looking anywhere but her.

"No, you don't," Finlay adjusted his position on the chair. He had her seated on top of his thighs. It was half an hour after they had left the council hall and they were in his room.

"Do not lie, Finlay, I'm bald. Something which is uncommon in Easton and what makes matters worse is the fact that I'm not just an ordinary person, but the wife of the most powerful man in the pack." Ophelia pointed out flatly. Her small shoulders rose and fell when she released a breath, still avoiding the eyes of Finlay.

Finlay caught her by the jaw and nudged her head to face him so he could take a look into her emerald eyes. For he didn't like that she thought so low of herself, felt so small and ugly. If only she could see herself the way that he saw her, she wouldn't hide her face away from his.
