Ryder drives the car, while Caleb tries to engage Melanie in a conversation so that she won’t close her eyes, but her eyes are starting to close despite the effort he is making.“I promised your sister to take care of you, but I ended up putting you in harm’s way,” He blames himself, as Ryder is focused on getting them to a proper hospital. Ryder is able to find a proper hospital and he screeches the car to a halt before running towards the accident and emergency section to obtain a stretcher that will take Melanie inside.Caleb gets out of the car eagerly, clutching Melanie’s limp body as he starts running towards the hospital, he meets Ryder and the nurses bringing the stretcher midway, so he puts Melanie on the stretcher so that she can be comfortable.“What is wrong with the patient?” one of the nurses inquires as they make their way inside the hospital.“She got shot” Caleb answers as the other hospital rushes to transfer her to a hospital bed.“If she got shot, then I am sorry
After the small talk between Caleb and Melanie, he talks her in and encourages her to get some rest because he can tell that the anesthesia hasn't worn off completely. After she finally drifts into sleep, Caleb watches her sleep for a while before he returns to the waiting area so that he won't disturb her, but in getting there, his phone buzzes in his pocket, and he gets it out to silence the phone so that Melanie will not be disturbed but on getting the phone out, Alistair’s name flashes on the screen, so he excuses himself, stepping out of Melanie’s room into the hospital corridor. “Hey, Alistair,” Caleb answers, his voice low. He walks away from Melanie’s door, noticing a larger crowd lingering outside Melanie’s door. Hospital staff, visitors, and what looks like reporters mingled, their faces a blur of curiosity but he doesn’t think much of it, assuming it was just the hospital activity so he focuses on Alistair’s voice, listening intently. “I’ve been trying to reach you, Ca
Caleb Ryan- Wellington!” Sophia calls out Caleb’s full name, which is really suspicious for somebody like Sophia.“What’s up babes,” He greets her.“Don’t baby me!” she says, brushing his greeting aside. “What have I done this time?” Caleb asks, rolling his eyes and bracing himself up for a lecture.“You are in Pearl Coast doing God knows what, but you did not think of coming to visit your son, the mother of your son, and my parents” She lists out his sins for him but Caleb’s brows are furrowed in confusion and his eyes are darting back and forth trying to figure who revealed his location to her.“How do you know that I am in Pearl Coast?” Caleb throws the question at her because she knows that it is either somebody told her, or she has been stalking him aggressively because the only people that he told about his journey to Pearl Coast were Alistair and the team in charge of maintaining his private jet.“I noticed that your location on your snap suddenly changed from Orion to Pearl C
Caleb ends the call with Alistair and sighs deeply because he has way too much on his plate to even consider thinking about what the hell just happened. He also has way too many pressing issues at hand to even consider dealing with the baby mama shenanigan that is going on in his life.Instead of wasting more time outside stressing over everything that is going wrong in his life, he makes his way towards Melanie’s room because even though there are cameras in the room, because he is stressed and tired, his mind does not stop painting the worst case scenario that could still happen to Melanie, even though he knows that it is just a gunshot wound. On approaching the front of Melanie’s room, he sees that the people that he saw earlier and assumed were just the hospital visitors, are actually reporters and they try to get a picture of him, like insects swarming once they notice that sugar is present somewhere, while some are trying to get a picture of Melanie’s signage. “Mr. Caleb Welli
Location: Chastain Park hospital, white Pearl, Pearl Coast.Calls have been coming in for Melanie from her sister, Ryan Blackwood, and others, probably because they got the news of Melanie getting shot and being in the hospital online, but the calls are starting to trigger him, so he just puts the phone on DND hoping to silence other calls, but Kalinin’s call still comes in and he is left with no choice but to turn off the phone. He wants to talk to Kalinin and give her a rundown of what happened so that she doesn't go crazy after seeing the news, but he doesn’t want to step out of the room to talk to her and run into anybody, and he can't pick the call inside the room because he has been instructed by the hospital that Melanie should not be disturbed under any circumstance, so the best option for him was to just turn off the phone. “Clear the hallway as much as you can, I need to step out” he texts Ryan.“Give me 5 minutes to get that done” Ryder texts back almost immediately. “The
Location: Orion, Blackwood city.Ryan paces in his office, his phone clenched in his hand because his private investigator’s latest update only deepened his concern. He found out from Kalinin quite alright that she traveled to Pearl Coast, but it has been way more than twelve hours since he last heard from Melanie, and his feelings of disappointment and betrayal aside, he is genuinely worried about Melanie’s well-being, but Kalinin on the other hand seemed to be sure that her sister can’t leave Bistro Bliss without leaving a message to inform him about her next move, so he starts checking his call log again to see if Melanie called him at any point in time that he missed. He scans through his call log but there is neither any missed call from Melanie nor a missed call from an unregistered number. Something prompts him to look through the CCTV footage for Sunday night’s footage, so he leaves his office, and he makes his way towards the surveillance room. On getting to the surveillance
“When do you want the movement procedure to start?” the medical director asks Caleb“As soon as you can order the hospital to be on total lockdown” Caleb answers him“I am afraid that we can’t be on total lockdown because this is a hospital and there are patients in need of immediate medical attention coming in all the time.”“If not total lockdown, then order a partial lockdown…I just need the number of guests in the hospital to be reduced a great deal” he expresses“Especially those nasty reporters” he adds“Give me a few minutes to instruct someone trustworthy to get started on the lockdown and the movement procedure started,” he tells Caleb“I will also need to go to Melanie’s current room to inform the head of security there of the recent development,” he informs the medical director and he nods in approval.“While you are at it, can you instruct your hospital security to evacuate every single guest within the perimeter of the floor that Melanie is on for at least twenty minutes
Caleb did not expect to be impressed by how the medical director handled things, but he was. The moving was done successfully, and Melanie’s location was not compromised the second time.In the 30 minutes that the medical director promised the lockdown would last, it started and ended successfully. Even though the hospital was on lockdown, the medical director made preparations for patients to be brought in through the emergency entrance, which was to be used in case of fire outbreaks or any other form of emergency in the hospital. In exactly 20 minutes, Ryan got back to Melanie’s former room and Caleb took him to her new room with strict instructions that he must remain in the waiting area except when he authorizes him to leave, and he agrees and Caleb left the last floor and comes back to inform his team that he is away on a mission that he appointed him.He leaves the last floor and comes back to the fifth floor to inform the team leader for group 1 and group 2 to resume their duti
