2022-04-18 08:08:51I chuckled as I dashed under a massive rose bush and continued on my way as fast as my four paws could go. Nix had to go around because of his massive wolf size. I thought it was quite amusing to choose the path that required him to take the most detours. At the very least, he was getting more exercise than if he was just running alongside me.
Our leisurely run had devolved into a game of catch-me-if-you-can, and despite the fact that I hadn't stopped to hiding underneath the bushes, Nix hadn't been able to get close to me for nearly five minutes. Given that I had never been in this part of the forest before, it was a pretty impressive feat for me.
But the situation was starting to irritate Nix; he could see me now but couldn't reach me. The mate bond pushed him to move faster and work harder to get to me.
I used my senses to ensure that no other pack member was in our path. I didn't want anyone to come between Nix and me when the distance between us was already
