Chapter 7

After sleeping, resting, and taking medicines, I got better. 

Nanny told me that I passed out while talking to my father. Obviously, it was a great shock for me. After all, he reacted in a way that I did not expected. He didn't get mad but instead, took care of me while asleep. Of course, I know that it's not true because he hates me more than anyone else

Well regardless of that, how did I even get a cold? Did I stay outside too long? Or maybe the sight of him made me sick?

It must've been satisfying to be able to say those words directly to him but I know I won't be able to. Since he's a notorious tyrant who doesn't care about blood relations or anything

 I won't be sick by just seeing him cause I'm braver than what I look!!

Said by a four and a half years old girl.

But even though my age is four physically, I am twenty four inside so I'm strong.

Anyway, I am still being confined here in my room even though my cold is already gone since last week.

Of course, I am dying to go outside now. I wanna stroll on the palace and see a lot of things but I can't just disobey the emperor.

Yes, the emperor ordered everyone not to let me go outside and as a four years old girl who is trying to get her father's favor, I can't do anything but listen to him.

'Now I feel like a real puppy who can't disobey her owner'

I sighed slightly and looked around then saw how my dazzling father is getting more and more handsome day by dat

Yes, here I am doing nothing while being watched by the emperor.

I don't even know why the hell is he here! He said that I should rest but damn! I can't. Just seeing him here is making me nervous. After all, he's still a father who let his daughter be killed by duke Finiell so why is he always here? Does he enjoy seeing me lonely?? And confined?? How cruel of him

"Why are you dozing off? Sleep" he pushed my forehead down to make me lie down on the bed to sleep so I frowned a little bit but when he looked at my face, I immediately changed it into a smiling face. 

How plastic of me.

"Why are you still awake? I said sleep."

Do you expect me to sleep even after sleeping for a lot of hours? I'm not that lazy

"sleep"

When I felt like he won't listen to my cute complaints, I just followed his words. After all, I don't want to die just because I don't want to sleep. 

He may be not doing anything to me now, but there is still a possibility of me being sent to prison so I need to behave.

"Owkey aywawl swip mow"

[okay, I'll sleep more]

After several days of confinement, I was able to convince daddy to let me have a picnic in the garden.

Now, I am currently walking along with my maids to go to the garden while carrying a small lunchbox with meat. 

The meat will make the picnic even more special.

When we found a great spot to have a picnic, we immediately went there. They put a cloth on the grass before I sat down there with my meat.

"ay wab mit!"

 [I love meat!]

They laughed at my cute remarks but was stopped when a knight went to say something

"The princess was summoned by his majesty" 

My forehead wrinkled when I heard what he had to say. 

'this is the only free day where I won't have to bear with him but he summoned me again?''

I just nod helplessly at the knight who picked me up and sighed heavily.

Of course, I was being carried by him to go to my daddy's palace since he was told to.

And yes I decided to call that emperor that way cause it's easier since it only has two syllables unlike 'dummy emperor' who has five. 

After a long walk, we were able to get there safely. Though, I was a bit confused since this isn't my father's room but the receiving area or hall

"Your majesty, The princess is here"

When the door was opened, a big hall welcomed me. I was still being carried inside the receiving area by the knight who picked me up.

"Greetings Your majesty. The princess is here now" still being carried, the knight greets the emperor.

Now that I look around closely, there are several kids here around my age along with their nannies and parents. Seeing their clothes, seems like they're notable nobles

"Come here lalaine" daddy called me to sit on his lap so I hurriedly went to him and did what he wants.

"Greetings Your majesty the emperor and your highness the first princess" They bowed when they greeted us. That's etiquette number one. You have to pay respect to a higher family by bowing. 

"lift your heads. The princess needs friends that's why I invited your children. They'll learn and play together. I already hired the best teacher"

What? Me learning with these babies?

"The parents won't be allowed to accompany your child. Only the nanny"

I looked at my father's face again with a strange expression.

'Why did he even think of doing this?'
