‘Bruhhhhh…You showed them. You showed them. You showed them.’ Sierra gushes over in a whisper as we shuffle past a group of young wolves smoking their lungs out.

They eyed us hungrily and whistled.

‘Looking for a company hottie. Lemme take ya home.’ The tallest in the lot grunts, practically eye-raping Sierra.

‘Keep dreaming jerk.’ Sierra retorts, fisting her palms to the side. She rolled her eyes at him and kept walking.

I marvel at her patience with the lewd. Maybe she has gotten used to such derogatory comments while working as a waitress.

‘I’ll fuck ya in my dream. Though I’d prefer reality. Wanna do ya say. In the car trunk?’ His equally lecherous companions guffaw at his comments.

Ella hisses in my head. I swear I want to shred life out of his body bit by bit. Who does he think he is dealing with? Sierra is a queen. How could someone talk to a female like that? Is this the best his mother could do?

I personally hate this about the wolf. The pups' production occurs in bulk

A week later...Sunlight creeps through the lavender curtains, spreading warmth all over the magnificent room. The bed is cosy. It’s huge, soft, and has tough hands grown on either side that are pulling me deep into it. The embrace is exotic and comfortable and the scent—I inhale into its intoxicating aroma. It pushes me back to nostalgia. Damn! It’s familiar but I don’t remember using the misty deodorant ever. It’s masculine and powerful/ I stir a bit and snuggle more into the addictive warmth. Its fragrance is exhilarating yet cherishing. It is special—I have never smelled anything as narcotic before. I can be around it the whole of my life and still not get bored of it. In the safety of its sturdiness, I can survive the toughest of the times. My lips curve at the thought. I feel something soft tickling my cheeks. I have had one of the best nights of sleep of my life in years. I don't remember when was the last time I slept like a baby—without a care in the world. There is absolu

Ibhaan's POV: I ran up the stairs as fast as I could, pushing past the Mansion’s staff. Blood pumps up in my veins. The sweat trickles to unmentionable parts of my body. ‘Dude, Slow down. You are gonna crush someone’s bones.’ Kavish, my stupidly nagging Beta cum best friend, snickers over my shoulder. I have plenty of best friends in and outside the Pack. Six to be precise if I’d like to count and one of them is my twin brother, Subhan but I am closest with Kavish for some reasons. It could be because I spend all my time and secrets with him and that he finds all the incongruities and absurdities as hilarious as I do. (Other wolves don’t have the darning sense of humour! Psht, sickos!) My Beta and I pretend to have the authoritative relationship in public that I am supposed to have with him as a ruling Alpha, in private—the boss and subordinate relationship is hardly there. ‘Slow down! She is not pushing your baby out of her cunt, you know. She is fine.’ Grabbing my shoulder

His velvety smooth voice… My small voice in my head reminds me. I want to scream. ‘Listen up, you whore. He is not some rich lad striving to become an idol. He is a fucking Alpha and not some Alpha, he is responsible for your despair and ruins. You must forget about that stupid ride. It was an illusion. It cannot be real. FORGET IT!’ I try to inculcate a new reality in my system. It is harder than impossible. I don’t remember thinking about my ex-dead meat husband as much as I am thinking about the millisecond connection with the Alpha. Why am I still clinging to the reverie beyond me? ‘Damn it! Where the fuck is Lily? How did she end up on Kavish’s radar when I specifically told her to be careful? If I were all but a couple of minutes late she would have puked out t

‘Come here.’ Ibhaan waves his index finger as soon as I walk out of the bathroom. His wet hair drops a trail of water on his forehead that travels down to his collarbone before disappearing in the white v-neck T. The outline of not less than eight biscuits chiselled over the front makes me gulp nervously. He is freaking muscular. ‘He has taken a shower too. But it has been more than three hours. Does it mean he specifically took another shower before coming to me?’ I wonder. ‘How cares?’ I shrug it off as I eliminate the distance between us and stop a couple of feet away from him. ‘He could be the xerox copy of Mr. Zeus but I am Empress venom. I single dip and the whole six feet of him would tremble. Spend as many hours in the gym or on the ground! Whatever!’ I smirk internally as I raise a questioning eyebrow at him. He mimics my expression. I wait a bit longer for him to break open. But the words never come. Letting out a defeated sigh at his uneducated head, I finally take it

Ibhaan’s Head: Arin has developed an obsession with lavender, jasmine, and orchids recently. She has grown a bit bolder and more aggressive. Almost all of her products—from shampoo, to shower gel, and bathrobes—every single merchandise have a shade of variety. There are twelve shades of nail paints all lavenders amongst the pool of many. Her cosmetic collection is ready to give others Luna’s complex. I don’t have the heart to walk in her closet. I prefer the wardrobe collection to remain a mystery. Besides, her preferences seem to have waived off a bit. She is not being touchy anymore. Rather, she is piqued. It’s like walking on bombshells. You can never guess when it would blow off. ‘Has the bee-stung done it? Why the hell do I find it amusing?’ I nibble on my lower lips as I try to recall the…umm…incident early morning. ‘Why the hell did I do what I did?’ I contemplate, typing furiously on my laptop. ‘I want to go out.’ I told the she-wolf who I have figured out works as Luna’s Personal Secretary, governance, and mentor Momo as I pushed the plate away. The sight of a little octopus wiggling makes my stomach churn. How can that abominable piece of shit be someone’s favourite? Not only are the wolves monsters walking on two legs in shifted forms, but they are also unbearable. They eat animals alive! Surely, Serpents like to feast on other animals too—mostly mice, and rat hunters. It is part of the ecosystem and functions accordingly. Nevertheless, none is swallowed alive. What’s the point in finding pleasure in someone’s agony? It’s unjustifiable in whatever way I could think of. Get it away from me! Ella hisses her anguish. I look up at Momo who looks around me with the eyes of a hawk. Her postures are rigid and disciplined. The stern glare (a permanent expression) clearly gives do-not-dare-mess-with-me-unless-you-want-your-bones-broken vibes. Her broad shoulder, built-up

  • Chaitali: The Saga begins   Minutes

‘Emperor Dhairya is alive.’ I was told and surprisingly, I don’t care. I know it’s the worst news to know that your worst enemy (the Chatali’s worst enemy maybe) is breathing, seething, and ready to attack yet my mind cooks up better content to focus on. ‘Alpha, how was the meeting with the Lycan?’ Kavish asked me as soon as I walked in. To my utmost dismay, he was not sitting alone. The ‘Bastards Of Chaitali’ were already there with him. Munching on my snacks and chatting animatedly about some irrelevant and probably very stupid current affair. I had entered my study with such anger and irritation that Kavish preferred to be quiet but the ‘Bastards’ did not. I knew even with Kavish the peace will be short-lived. Being the Beta of the Taksh Pack, he had to gather courage and ask his Alpha, aka me, about the meeting so he could instruct his new favorite Himanshu to record it in the miserable book of Minutes. It’s not casual when the Lycan summons someone at urgent notice including

In the evening, when they finally came—‘Come out, Bastard. I’m waiting.’ I inform my friend, Adrian on the phone after I park my car outside his hotel. I just do not feel like going inside to pick him up and go through the security scrutiny for that rascal. After all, he is the shitty piece of werewolf ever inhabiting the plant. ‘Coming.’ I growl into the phone and I do not need a gypsy to interpret his adventurous night in the mystical land. ‘You asshole, you did not get up yet. It somehow personifies the restless deep with me. I’m careless of the uncertainity of future or of what would become of my territory and the Empire or whether I’d be recognized as a Lycan, or whether my mate truly is an Empress in disguise that is, if she is—I’d be tantalized at the turns of events for it’s nearly impossible for destiny to be so on point. Very often my own thoughts surpise me! I couldn’t believe never once I thought of what might have actually become of Arin and whether the captured Serpent knows anything for whom my mate is ready to wage war. ‘She knows something.’ Kavish had recently grumbled his annoyance. ‘It’s just that she is so devoted towards her mistress and the Empire that she’d rather die. And I fear their Emperor ain’t dead too.’ And from that day on, there is always a new revelation concerning the Empire and its rulers. Some even claimed that they had spotted Emperor Dhairya lurking around and I all but want to giggle like a school girl at their excl
