SCARLETT'S POV

I peered searchingly over mother's diary. Sky, Mom and Dad were with me in the limo as we drove to the company's headquarters. First time I'll be going there but I already know everything about it from mother's explanation. She and Dad founded the company afterall.

In Mother's diary, she talked about the achievements of the company in her time and the goals they're planning to achieve over time. I discovered, most of it dad already accomplished.

Dad's phone rang and he answered the call.

"Yes, we're on the way now. The press members, stakeholders and the board of directors are there now? Alright, we'll be there in a moment." He ended the call. I raised my gaze in time to see him smile at me.

"Heidi, you ready?" He asked and Mom smiled.

"Obviously, she is." She said and Sky caressed my arm assuringly.

"I am ready!" I said firmly.

ASHTON'S POV

"Ashton, what's he talking about?" I heard Dexter asked behind me. I sat down again, sighingly and cast a

SCARLETT'S POV We arrived at the company's building and I let out a gasp on beholding the massive, exquisite skyscraper standing firmly amidst several others in the heart of the city. Of course I've seen it being featured in some commercial videos and magazines but I really didn't expect it to be this huge physically. "It's amazing sugar, can't believe I'm here looking at and about to step into the renowned headquarters of JP's Enterprise." Skylar gushed beside me and mother chuckled. Dad smiled at me and I smiled back, turning my gaze to stare out the window of the limo as the driver pulled the car into a halt in the vast parking area of the company. I could see a huge crowd of people outside the building and Mom made me understand that they all consist of several fans of my late mother, some rookie journalists_who wanted to grab a first hand information of the press conference but wouldn't be able to gain entrance in because of their inexperience or low status and several

SKYLAR'S POV We all watched in awe over Scarlett's intriguing, jaw dropping introduction. Hurray! My baby got 'em all trippin' I was mentally singing. Aunt Aimee was grinning from either pride or excitement beside me as she watched her foster daughter. Chairman Grey had a proud smile and look in his eyes as he looked sideways at her. I then decided to look at her new family. Harriet was red in the face from either shock, anger or from trying to suppress her discomfort. Her daughter, the beautiful girl I'd once admired on the very day I arrived this country, shifted uncomfortably in her seat also trying to control her discomfort but wasn't seeming successful. My eyes scanned around for the boy, Imogen's twin. The only sad part about everything that's happened so far, is the fact that my crush turned out to be the son of the woman who killed my friend's biological mother. How was I supposed to react to this one? Well, I can just stop crushing anyway. Who knows, he might no

IMOGEN'S POV"Mum I just can't accept this. Seriously, I don't think I'll ever get used to the strange girl posing as an elder sister and living in our home. Was it so hard for father to have given us a hint all these years? Why let us find out only recently?" I said to mother, not hiding the displeasure in my voice. I mean, we had to sit there and listen to her talk about herself as a 'legitimate' daughter. She had guts really! Even the way she smartly answered the questions thrown at her shows just how well she knows what she's doing. Mother sighed and touched my arm slightly, I was looking out the window as the driver drove us home. "Imogen, don't be too hard on your father. Take it as my fault," I turned to look at her in confusion. "I didn't care enough for him that's why he probably couldn't tell me." She said. "Mother!" I cut in, immediately. "That's not true. Everyone knows how greatly you care about father." I said and she gave me a small smile. "Just leave it all to me,

He asked, moving closer to her. "Yes he did. What is the next step now?" Isabel asked again. "I'll have Dementriv arrange a meeting with Jamie Grey. Send Palo to me as soon as he's settled." He instructed. Isabel nodded briefly. "I've prepared dinner, you should eat." She said before walking away.HARRIET'S POV That girl's words couldn't leave my head since I heard it. How brazen of her to have made those remarks. She even indirectly insulted me during the press conference. 'I wouldn't know that Ms. Mills. I mean, my mother died right after I was birthed. But that's not a cause to worry as I think my stepmom would be 'more th

SCARLETT'S POV I took the stairs up to my room and on getting there, I paused on noticing the slightly opened door. Didn't I lock the door before leaving? I mused. Shrugging slightly, I stride in and made the way straight to my bed. It's been a really long day. Some moments later, I was smiling over the comments I saw on social media about my interview. Many people were already curious about me_how I happened to be alive, or what happened to my mother, why I didn't show up in the city all this while since I was never dead as the country had speculated. Why I didn't bother saying something concerning the rumors about my mother and her best friend, why I announced myself as a legitimate daughter...and so on. However, it wasn't the right time to let everything out. I'm just arriving. They should watch my moves. Picking up my purse, I retrieved mother's diary and smiled. "Mother, we've only just started. Today went exactly as I'd planned." I smiled and caressed the diary w

ASHTON'S POV "Yes Father, he said he'll get back to us in a few days." I reported and father nodded slightly with a small smile, while reclining more on his seat. "Very good. You've done well Ashton, I know I can always trust you." He said and I smiled. "Thank you for your generous words, Father. If you need anything else please let me know, I'll do it right away." "Not at all. For now, I need you to focus on securing Project XR contract with Song and Kwan Group before the next board meeting." He said and I nodded slightly in acknowledgement. "Yes Father." I wanted to ask him about Scarlett's new position in the company but on second thought, I decided against it. "Is there anything you want to ask me?" He said as though he could read my thoughts. "Not at all." I smiled and was about leaving the exquisite office when he interrupted me. "Ashton," "Yes Father," I turned around to face him again. "I trust you'll assist your sister, Heidi, around the compa

She frowned at the subordinate who had just passed an information to her. She was currently in the study of her secret home in City center. Harriet hurriedly collected the iPad and just at a glance, her eyes read through the bold headline on the screen. *The general secretary of JP's Enterprise, Gordon Paul, arrested and charged for illegal dealings by the prosecution, in the early hours of today. He had been called in for questioning along side some minor shareholders of JP's Enterprise and a few directors as well, that had been involved in this.* Harriet's grip on the iPad tightened and her lips trembled slightly as rage surged through her entire body. Later that same night, Imogen had hurriedly informed her mother about the chairman's conversation on phone which she had overheard. Harriet wasn't surprised by this news. She had already been informed by the subordinate she had assigned to spy on the Bryants household. What she found out wasn't necessarily going to help her goals at the moment, as it seems Palo and Scarlett had something going already. "About KK, why do you think your father invited him over to dinner today?" Harriet asked her daughter and Imogen immediately knew the reason. "He seems to approve of Kyle and Scarlett being together," she replied thoughtfully. Harriet took a close look at her beautiful daughter and a thought occured to her. "Imogen, you like KK, don't you?" Imogen couldn't help but blush as she said. "It's quite obvious I do, mother. A lot." Her mother urgently continued. "Then you have to seduce him." Seeing how her daughter became stunned at her words, Harriet added. "We need

He had even invited her to dinner with his family but she had politely declined. She wasn't sure yet if she should meet them, especially after her father's warning. She was still waiting on him to tell her everything when the time was right, like he had said he would. She had told Skylar about her relationship or situationship with Palo Bryant, and had also informed her foster mom of how Harriet had been keeping tabs on her secretly. Unfortunately, Scarlett and Lexi weren't able to find any trace of anything illegal to Harriet yet. She was seemingly having a clean record. But Scarlett knew it wasn't true. Harriet was cunning so she must have carried out her operations in strategic ways, making sure it led no traces back to her. Scarlett decided she would take things slowly, there m

  • Chairman Grey's Legitimate Daughter   CHAPTER 58: Exposed

NARRATIVE Ashton and his friends were busy in the game room when Skylar brought in cakes for them to snack on. Skylar had made it herself with the assistance of a kitchen staff, of course, and wanted them to try it _ Ashton, mostly. "Enjoy," she whispered to him with a smile and his eyes didn't miss the deliberate wink she gave him and the fast manner she had bitten on her lips before she left. Skylar had made the cake most especially because of him, after learning that he loved eating cakes. And she sincerely hoped he liked it. At the sight of her, Ashton couldn't help lingering his gaze on her behind as she walked off, wishing he could grab those bouncy cheeks and also swat them as much as he needed, right now. If only he wasn't with people, he would have pulled her back in, shut the door after her and do so many dirty things to her that would leave her screaming his name only, around that seductive mouth of hers. But for the sake of their secret relationship,

Scarlett was in her office working through some files in her office. Although she was greatly distracted by the thoughts that clouded her reasoning. ASHTON'S POV "Come with me," I whispered against her lips, lowering her from the kitchen island and she instantly nodded, biting her lips sensually afterwards. Her constant need for me was just as equal to my constant need for her. And now, I don't think I can get by a day in my life without having her. Skylar followed me upstairs into my bedroom, stealthily of course, and I locked the door after us. Ever since the incident at the pool, we've been meeting every other night in secret. We just couldn't get enough of each other, and the more our secret sexual escapades occured, the more we both anticipated the next. "I want to watch you undress, and you need to do it slowly." I whispered and she nodded without disagreement and began doing as I have said. She wasn't even dressed with much to start with. She only had on a thin, transparent silky ash colored nightwear. And obviously, she had nothing under. The sight of her smooth, exposed laps made my mouth watered. Jus
