When my eyes opened, I felt a sense of unease. Confusion clouded my mind as I tried to piece together the events leading up to this moment.
"Where am I?” Curiosity overcame me, and I couldn’t help but wonder: What was this place?
Instead of the somber darkness and a cage I had expected, I found myself in a warm and inviting room. The soft glow emanating from the lights created an atmosphere of comfort and solace.
The room appeared to be well-furnished, with cozy armchairs and a crackling fireplace that radiated gentle warmth.
"Where am I?” A wave of fear washed over me. To my surprise, I found myself in a blue silk gown.
“He took me here; why?” I whispered in shock. Frantically, I looked around the room, hoping to find some answers.
Suddenly, a chilling sound pierced through the silence, causing a shiver to run down my spine. The next moment, the door opened, and a figure standing beside the door caught my attention. She was a maid, maybe.
"W., where is Declan?” I asked nervously.
“Alpha Logan wants you at the dining table. I am here to take you." She ignored my question and grabbed my arm.
“No, I will not go.” I resisted, but she held me tight.
“Don’t dare to disobey him. He never tolerates that.” She pressed on my arm and dragged me outside. I was being pulled along by the maid in the hallway.
“Oh, that’s awesome.” It slipped out of my tongue. I was struck by the elegance and beauty of the hall, which completely distracted me from the trouble ahead. It felt like being in a royal palace. In the center of the room, there was a large dining table, and at the head sat a man whose face I couldn't see; he had his back to me. He must be Alpha Logan, who took me there.
“Alpha, she is here.” The maid pushed me forward; I was barely able to not fall down. The silence prevailed everywhere; I could sense his terror. Without saying a word, he gestured, and a man in a uniform came forward, pulled out a chair for me, and nodded for me to sit down. I looked around; none of his family members were there. Where was Declan, and why was he not here?
I approached the table with slow steps, feeling a knot in my stomach. I sat down, trying to hide my fear.
"How are you?" A gruff voice interrupted my thoughts. I turned my attention to him; his face was cold, and he was enjoying lobster dipped in cheese sauce.
I glanced at him with fearful eyes. I could sense the coldness in his gaze, and I shrank further without uttering a word.
"Didn't you hear?" He snapped angrily, causing me to jump in my seat. He clenched his jaw, gripping my hand so tightly that I cried out in pain.
"I'm fine," I barely stammered. His grip was so tight that it made my eyes wet.
"Eat," he commanded, his face expressionless again, and his gaze fixed on the plate of crab before him. The waiter expertly cuts the meat and places it before him to dip in the sauce.
But my gaze was fixed in front of me. The octopus waiter put in front of me was alive, its tentacles twitching slightly. As he poured hot sauce over it, it ceased its movement, silent and still. It was then garnished with chopped green chilies and served. I couldn't help but feel fear at the sight. Why was he doing this? I thought he would take me to Declan, but now I sensed something was wrong.
"Repeating myself is unacceptable to me!!!! Understand this, or I will throw you in front of my black tiger; it will tear you apart," he warned coldly, and the atmosphere fell silent. I noticed we were alone now.
"I didn’t do anything. Please don’t make me do that. I can’t eat it," I pleaded, but it didn’t affect him.
“Let me see Declan first.” I barely said it but ended up flinching as his hand grabbed my neck. His eyes were beaming with fire.
“I told you; don’t dare to call my brother’s name.” He warned in a dangerous tone and jerked me away.
“Eat," he repeated with disdain, a silent threat hanging over me. “No-please…” My lips trembled.
“Okay. Take her to my room; she will serve me tonight. Tell me, are you a virgin?” His strong and heavy voice hit my ears, and I shook to my core.
“What?” The inevitable approach of fear was closing in on me. He was crueler than I heard. I knew I had to fight to the bitter end. I will not accept this so easily. What if I injured him and ran to find Declan? I looked around; no one was there.
Summoning every ounce of strength left within me, I managed to grab the knife from the table and lunge at him. I didn’t let him understand and stabbed it in his shoulder; he froze in place, his eyes locking onto mine with a mixture of shock and disbelief.
“Little girl, you are so stupid.” His eyes were changing colors and turning an icy blue. He was still calm.
The next moment, he muttered something, and I was unable to understand it.
"Mate,” he whispered again, and a wave of gasps and stunned expressions swept me away. It was a word I had never expected to hear from him.
"What?” I mumbled. I want him to deny it.
“You are my mate.”
With a jerk, he pushed me aside, and I stumbled. Suddenly, my mind becomes blank. What did he say? Why don’t I remember it now? He said something, but what was it? Why did it disappear from my mind in a moment?“You will be presented in the pack’s council at lunar night. The rule must be followed, and you will be punished for what you made my brother do.” He sneered and got up from his seat. I looked at him in shock.“What did I do? I didn’t even meet Declan for a month.” I took a step back and said it with trembling lips. Pack’s council name sent a shiver down my spine.“Don’t try to fool me. You have to bear the consequences. I never forgive; you will pay for the crime you committed.” He said it with disdain and moved forward. The breath stuck in my throat."Don't, please, don’t do it. I will do what you say. Please tell me where Declan is. Is he fine?” I asked, and suddenly he came closer to me.“What will you give me in return, little girl?" He demanded.“I can work here as your m
The night breeze slips through the cracks in this cramped little cupboard, and my thin top is no protection against the cold. I hugged myself and clutched the worn sheet in my hands with shaking hands. Tears lingered in the corners of my eyes.I looked around to find that I was not alone. Many young girls were there, all tired, broken, and unconscious.I tried to move my hands some more, but couldn’t. There are giant chains around my hands; they must know that they will be strong enough to break free from the rope. This, on the other hand, didn't seem like a regular chain. It looked like the kind that held giant beasts captive. My heart rate accelerates, and my movements become more desperate."HELP!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. "SOMEBODY HELP ME!"Damn Alexander! I will have my revenge. It had been a day since they dragged me to this dark, cold dungeon. I still couldn’t piece together the reason why, but I knew—today was the day of my sentencing. The murmur of the guards outsi
"Elena and I were madly in love," Declan began, his voice barely a whisper, and my breath caught in my throat. He paused, letting the weight of his words settle over the room. I clenched my fists, feeling the sharp sting of my nails digging into my palms. "What... what are you talking about, Declan?" I managed to choke out, my voice trembling. He turned his gaze toward me, his eyes hard."On the day I attempted to take my life," he continued, "I received a letter and a dagger from Elena. I recognized her handwriting immediately. Every curve of every word was hers." His voice wavered for a moment, a flicker of the old Declan surfacing, but then he forced it down, his expression hardening. "In the letter, she revealed that Alpha Alexander had decided to marry her off to a disabled man. She pleaded for me to take a stand for her, and if I failed, she threatened to end her life with the very same poisoned dagger she had sent me. I did what she wanted. That’s all I knew." His voice grew
When my eyes opened, I felt a sense of unease, as if I were in a dark place. The absence of light made me question my surroundings. Was I in a grave? The thought sent shivers down my spine, but I quickly dismissed it as something I felt strange. Confusion clouded my mind as I tried to piece together the events leading up to this moment.Suddenly, a memory resurfaced. I remember the council meeting. The realization hit me like a wave, leaving me bewildered and disoriented. What happened to me? How did I end up in this mysterious situation?“Where am I?” Curiosity overcame me, and I couldn't help but wonder: Despite the initial confusion and apprehension, the cozy room provided a sense of refuge, a temporary respite from the unknown. As I gathered my bearings, I was back into the same room.“He took me back? Didn’t he kill me? Maybe Declan save me?”Feeling strange, I woke up from a deep slumber. As I removed the blanket and checked my surroundings, a wave of fear washed over me. To my
“Remember me?” He leaned closer, his voice a low, rough whisper. His smile was cold, almost mocking, as he watched me struggle to find my voice. My mouth opened, but no words came out—I was too stunned, too scared. Why hadn’t he killed me yet? I was at the council meeting but now….I yanked the blanket over myself, retreating back against the wall, my body trembling. He chuckled softly, the sound dark and unsettling. “Don't worry, Omega. I don't eat sweet things so quickly. I like to savor them... slowly.” His eyes gleamed with something dangerous. My breath caught in my chest—did he just smile? No, he can’t. He is a devil.“M-My clothes?” I stammered, my voice barely a whisper, fear tightening my throat.“Gone. Threw them away. I don’t like dirty things.” His voice was deep, and rough, sending shivers through me. I couldn’t understand—why did he bring me here? What did he want from me?I forced myself to ask, though my voice shook. “Where am I?” His eyes never left me, sharp and in
"Beg me." His voice was like a jagged edge, slicing through the tension in the air.“What?” I gasped, my heart racing in disbelief at his command.“Beg me for forgiveness by looking into my eyes.” I hesitated, then lifted my gaze to meet his. His eyes were mesmerizing, shifting colors in a way that felt almost magical—deep amber swirling into a warm honey hue. It left me stunned, almost dizzy. Why was he doing this? If he wanted me dead, he could easily do it. I was just an omega—so fragile and weak in his presence."Don't look away," he murmured, his voice low and dangerous. "You know I can make you my puppet, but I don’t want to do that. I want to see your helplessness. Look into my eyes and start obeying me."“What if I don’t?” I managed to say, finding a flicker of defiance within me. I was alone in this world; no one loved me. Nothing could be worse than the emptiness I felt. What did I have left to fight for?His eyes narrowed, shifting to a furious crimson, streaked with yellow
When I opened my eyes, I found myself in the same bed, but this time it was filled with bright morning light instead of darkness. Panic shot through me, and I jumped up. I had no idea when I fell asleep or when he left. The memory of last night made my blood boil, but I felt powerless. His gaze was intense; he could control anyone with just one look. I glanced around, desperate to find him. Why was I still here?He wasn’t around. As I stood, I noticed I was wearing a navy blue sweater and a shirt. Something felt off, so I pulled off the blanket and saw I was in gray sweatpants. They were a little loose, but at least my legs were covered. Then the realization hit me.Had he dressed me? A chill ran down my spine. Just then, the door swung open, making me jump. A girl wheeled in a food trolley, and I was left speechless.“Did he really do this?” I thought. No way.“Good afternoon!” she chirped, and I snapped my head up. She wore a white shirt and black jeans, with fair skin and blonde ha
“She is wolf-less, worse even than omega. How dare she try to marry my son? She must pay for it.” Alpha King was yelled, walking furiously. Hearing these words, Declan stood frozen in the doorway, his heart pounding. His father's words hung heavy in the air, suffocating him. He quickly entered the room. Alpha Logan, his older brother and the Alpha King's right hand, turned to look at him with a hardened expression. The disappointment in his brother's eyes cut Declan deeper than any blade ever could.“I want her alive or dead. Kill that low girl.” The Alpha King's voice echoed through the room, commanding and cold. Hearing the order to kill her, Declan felt a surge of anger rises within him. His father's words were like a death sentence, a request that tore at his very soul."No!" Declan's voice rang in the room. “She is innocent. This was just my intention. You won’t touch her.” Alpha King's gaze turned to Declan, his eyes flashing with fury."You dare defy me, boy?" he growled, the p
