I planned to run from here. Today was the reception of Harry, and everyone was getting ready to attend the party. My grandmother boldly entered my room. I was sitting on my bed. Finding her in my room, I was shocked. Why was she here? I could only think.

"You're not ready yet?" She raised her eyebrows, and asked.

"All that is left is to do my hair. You go, I will come with the driver myself." I replied in a low voice. “Selfish people.” I cursed in my heart.

"Okay. Come quickly." She closed the door of the room and left.

"They don’t even look at me with affection. How are they willing to make me their daughter-in-law? Wait a minute. Isabella, why did you agree to your mom's insistence? He is marrying you so that he can settle all his previous accounts comfortably. He will also get a free maid for the rest of his life. According to Alexander, he will stay with his second wife in a separate house.” This thought made my heart ached badly.

"Let's go, driver." I waited for everyone to leave. When I was sure that everyone had gone, I approached the car and settled into the back seat.

"Ok Miss Isabella." The driver said this and just started the car. Suddenly, the gate on the other side of the car opened.

My heart skipped a beat as Alexander entered the car gracefully, sitting next to me. It was the first time in my life that we shared a car ride. He was dressed in a white shirt and a black coat, looking stunning. The scent of his cologne filled the car, leaving me breathless.

"Let's go." Alexander took a quick look at me. Then he instructs the driver to start the car. I didn't want to put Eric in any danger, so I decided to keep him away from my escape plan. But now in Alexander's presence, it becomes more challenging to escape.

"What happened?" The car suddenly stopped. Alexander, who was engrossed in his cell, raised his eyes and looked at the driver.

"I don't know. Give me a minute to check." The driver said and got out of the car.

Intentionally, I had deflated the car's tires slightly, ensuring that it would stop a bit further from Harrison Mansion. When the driver got out fixing it, it was my chance to escape, but Alexander's presence had put me in trouble.

We sat in the car like strangers. I was finding a solution and he was still busy on his cell. Suddenly, Alexander's phone rang, and he stepped out of the car.

"What's going on? It's getting late. Why didn't you check beforehand?" he snapped angrily at the driver.

"Sorry, sir. Just give me two minutes," the driver apologized, trying to fix the situation.

"It's odd, sir. Both front tires have low air pressure," the driver added, and that was the last sentence I heard. Without even thinking anything, I opened the car door and slid from there.

With heavy breathing, I managed to stop a taxi.

"Take me to the airport quickly." I told the taxi driver after catching my breath. I need to escape from there. I know he was powerful, but I can’t be grasped in his cage. I took out my phone and start dialing Eric’s Number. I want him to know about my arrival. Before that I put the phone on me ear, a loud voice caught my attention.

"Hey, taxi, stop!" Another car suddenly pulled in front of us and came to a halt. Three or four young men dressed as guards emerged from the car, forcing the taxi driver out at gunpoint.

My breath caught when I saw them approaching the taxi. I was terrified. Who they are? What I did to them? May be they were the snatchers, this thought made me calm a little. However, it became clear that none of these guards were coming for me.

After a while, the gate on my side opened. The person standing in front made me freeze.

"Alexander," I whispered, staring at him with wide eyes.

"Yes. Come with me," he said, pulling me out of the taxi by the arm. I noticed that all the guards were focused on the road, avoiding eye contact with me. This was a show of respect reserved for the daughters and daughters-in-law of the Harrison family. Did this mean I was considered part of the Harrison family now? None of the guards dared to look at me.

Alexander angrily pushes me inside the car. I felt like I was paralyzed. I didn’t speak or resist. Alexander made his way to the driver's seat, and he drove us back to Harrison Mansion. He didn't say a word during the journey, but I knew this was the calm before the storm.

"Let's go," As soon as we reached Harrison Mansion, he quickly got out of the car and coming to my side.

"Where are you taking me? Let go of me, Alexander. I'm not afraid of you," I protested, struggling to free myself.

"You will not get out of here now. Understand?" he stated firmly, leading me to my room and pushing me onto the bed.

"Why are you doing this to me? What have I done to you? I know there's no love between us, so why are you marrying me? What do you get by keeping me imprisoned here?" I stood up, locking eyes with him, and demanded answers to my questions, which I felt were my right.

"Ssshhh, keep quiet.” He grabbed me chin in his strong grip. “Prepare for the wedding silently. And if you try to escape again, remember that Alexander Harrison doesn't forgive a second mistake. You'll be responsible for the consequences," he warned me in his cold tone.

My tears meant nothing to this tormentor. After issuing his warning, he turned and walked away without saying another word, closing the door behind him.

"I only love Eric, and I will marry him," I yelled, wiping my tears away.

"Fine. If marrying a dead person is acceptable to you, then go ahead.” Without turning back, he said sympathetically and left me shocked.

“Oh My God. What did I do?” I suddenly felt my mistake. I shouldn’t have told him about Eric. Mom was right, he could do anything to him.

“Oh No. how stupid I am. Now I should call Eric and ask him to be safe.” I thought and start searching my phone.

But then, a sudden realization struck me: I had left my bag in that taxi.

A lot of time had passed, and then suddenly, the door swung open. The face I saw left a sour taste in my mouth. "What rudeness is this? It's not that difficult to ask for permission before entering someone's room or knocking on the door." My heart raced as I saw Alexander walk in my direction. Anger boiled up within me, and I shout in frustration. "Let's go." Alexander completely ignored me and said while tightening his grip on my arm. "Let go of me! What's wrong with you? Do you have no idea how to speak to a lady? Leave my hand!" I struggled to break free, but it was futile against his relentless grip. Despite my protests, he forcefully pulled me into the lounge, where all the residents of Harrison Mansion had already gathered. "How did you try to run away?" Robert Harrison’s angry voice echoed in the room. I looked at him; he was sitting majestically on the couch. There was no sympathy or love in his eyes for me. “I came here at your invitation, not to marry your son. Please,

Isabella’s P.O.V.Today, I entered Alexander's room for the first time in my life. Alexander dragged me in, threw me on the bed as if I were a lifeless doll, and turned to lock the door.I sat up, gathering myself. I wasn’t going to let him touch me."Alexander. Stay away from me." I warned, pointing my index finger towards him, but he ignored me. He approached me without hesitation, gripped my arm, and pulled me toward him. He was close to me, and that realization made me freeze."Why?? Why should I stay away?" he asked innocently, holding me close to his chest."You used to hate me, didn't you? You called me dirty. So why do you want to dirty your hands by touching this 'dirty' thing?" I tried to pull away, but his grip on my delicate waist tightened, leaving me helpless. I was not able to go away from him, even if I wanted to. Despite seeing that there was nothing but ugliness and hatred in my eyes, he was not ready to back down."It's okay. I'll wash my hands with soap later," he

~Isabella's P.O.V.When I opened my eyes, it was eleven o'clock in the morning. I couldn't recall when I had fallen asleep. The night's tears blurred my vision. My gaze searched the room, but he was nowhere to be seen. So was I alone here? Did he leave? But where? After a moment, the creaking door drew my attention, and I turned. He entered with a shopping bag in hand. His face was cold and emotionless."Put it on and get ready," he commanded, pushing the shopping bag toward me. He was in a trouser shirt now. I hastily took it from him and went into the bathroom. I was scared of him. The events of the previous night had left me fearful of him; his intensity suffocated me. After a quick shower, I wore a navy blue dress, the wet strands of my hair clinging to my skin. When I came out, I found him sitting on the couch, lighting a cigarette, patiently waiting for me. Did he wait for me? Why? There are a lot of questions in my mind, but I have to wait to get the answers. The intensity in h

~At NightAlexander’s P.O.V.I lay down on my bed, and the sweet and sharp memories of yesterday enveloped me. The nails of this helpless girl in self-defense left a mark on my body like a cat's claws. I examined one of these marks on my right wrist. Lost in these thoughts, I stared at the ceiling. She was not there today, and I felt lonely. An hour later, I was standing near the window with a cigar in my hand when her mom knocked at the door. She was not allowed to enter, but today I didn’t mind."Son. Her condition is bad. Shall I take her to my room?" She asked in a flexible manner. On asking for permission, I carelessly waved my hand without turning back."Bella, my baby, wake up. Let's go with me." Her mother patted her cheeks, but she was drowsy from the effects of medicine. So she put one of her hands on her shoulder and struggled to lift her alone. She herself was a body. Therefore, it was very difficult for her to lift my wife alone and take her down."Move away." I threw the

Isabella’s P.O.V. I suffered from intense hunger during the night. I wasn’t able to sleep until I satisfied the gnawing emptiness within. So I left the room bare foot and came to the kitchen. Looking around, I opened the fridge, to eat quickly and return unnoticed. My eyes went to the bowl full of custard. Hurriedly, I cleaned a spoon and left it on the countertop before rushing back to the fridge. I was afraid that someone might catch me. I didn't want Alexander to know about my recovery. What if he finds out that I was fine and he took me to his room? No I don’t want his closeness again. Grabbing a bowl of custard, I was just about to close the fridge door when I noticed someone’s presence behind me. “Oh no please, not him.” I prayed in my heart and turned to look at the person. He was there, standing there, my mortal enemy. I forgot to breathe, my face turning pale with fear, as if I had encountered a ghost. A mocking smile briefly crossed Alexander's lips upon seeing my express

Bella's P.O.V. I was trying to go to sleep again. Constantly waking up with a pounding pain in my head and eyes makes my eyes weak. Just as I closed my eyes, Eric's smiling face appeared before me, triggering intense waves of grief once more. The sorrow felt so overwhelming that it seemed my very heart might burst from it. A week had passed but Eric did not call or message me. As soon as I thought it, it causes a growing sense of worry within me. I was so immersed in my grief that I did not notice that Eric did not contact me for a week. I should call him, with that thought, I tried to get up, but could not even move due to the injury to both legs. "Maid..." I called out. "Yes, ma'am." A maid entered the room, her eyes lowered respectfully. "What do you need?" She asked in a very polite manner. I started to look at her face in surprise. I was surprised by the sudden change in the staff's demeanor towards me. Since when did the employees of this Mansion start respecting me? "Yes

As soon as I stepped into the house, I made my way towards Bella’s mother's room. “How is she?” In doorway, I asked the maid about Bella's condition. “She talked to someone on the phone but hadn't made a sound since then.” She mentioned and I nodded. Entering the room, I found her sitting on the bed. Her eyes were closed. After a brief glance, I retreated to the doorway. "Alexander." Bella’s mother noticed me leaving and called out lovingly. "Did Bella eat food?" She seemed surprised when I inquired about. I never talked to her nicely. "No..." she responded, puzzled by my question. "Hmm... I'll get freshened up a. Just bring the food there, we will eat together." I replied seriously before heading upstairs. I knew the surprising look on her face. After freshening up, I returned to Bella’s mother's room to find all the food arranged on the glass table. "Bella. What happened to you?? You have been sitting in the same position since evening." He held my hand, guiding me out of the car. My heart raced as I took a glance at my surroundings. The farmhouse was bigger and more beautiful than I thought, I had never come here. But I couldn’t focus around anymore. I yearned to release my hand from his tight grip. Why did he take me here? What does he wants from me? I was alone with him. I looked at his face. "Alexander, you can't switch gears like this. I interrupted, my voice laced with suspicion. "We entered into this marriage forcefully. Neither of us wanted this. You once said you'd rather remain single than marry me. You claimed to hate me more than anyone else on earth. You promised to divorce a woman like me soon enough." I recited his own words back to him, one by one. "How did you suddenly changed, are you doing all this to take my shares from me?" I couldn't hold back when I saw how much love you have. How can anyone be so happy to become a father again?"Gabriel chuckled at her unusual logic and, with a teasing tone, said, "I’d be happy even if I became a father for the tenth time." Hazel wiped her tears and looked at him in surprise."Ten children?" she exclaimed, her blue eyes wide with astonishment. Gabriel laughed."No, I just want one daughter, a daughter like you. I'm so incredibly happy, Hazel. I want a daughter this time," he confessed, his eyes filled with hope. At his words, Hazel began crying again. Gabriel stood up and sat beside her on the bed."John, why are you crying now?" he asked tenderly, wiping her tears and kissing her softly on her blue eyes."You wished for a daughter when Ibtisam was born, but she had a son. Hazel was a vision in her baby pink dress, her hair cascading down her back in loose waves. The light makeup she wore enhanced her natural beauty, giving her a soft, ethereal glow. A delicate net dupatta draped over her shoulders, and diamond earrings sparkled in her ears—earrings she had worn on Gabriel's wedding anniversary. She stood by the door of the washroom, her heart racing as she listened to the water stop. Gabriel had finished his shower, and Hazel's anticipation grew. She had prepared an elaborate breakfast for him that morning, hoping to surprise him with her efforts.Gabriel emerged from the washroom, dressed in trousers and a shirt. As he entered the room, Hazel felt her cheeks grow warmer, her pink dress only emphasizing the blush that spread across her face. Her gaze fell to his broad chest, the dark brown hair still damp from the shower, and she quickly averted her eyes, unable to face the intensity of his presence. He had expected a surprise, perhaps balloons or a candlelit dinner waiting for him, but instead, the apartment was eerily quiet, devoid of any movement or life. Confusion gnawed at him as he set the various shopping bags he had carried in on the couch. They were filled with gifts he had carefully chosen for this special occasion, yet there was no one here to receive them.Determined to find her, Gabriel walked down the hallway toward their bedroom, the only sound his footsteps on the wooden floor.
