He stared at the locket again, brushing the surface slowly with his thumb as a warm smile spread across his face.
His heart twitched when he remembered the barrier that was between them. He averted his gaze to the window and watched as the sun shined brightly on mother nature.
He looked down at the locket again, but this time, he wasn't smiling-he was in pain and his eyes reflected it.
"I'll save you, I promise." He whispered to the locket and stared longly at it.
The locket had a picture of a girl whose eyes were full of life and it seemed like the picture was alive and staring into his soul. They mirrored the blue dress she had on and a small smile played at the corners of her lips. Short, black curls hung down the sides of her face.
He raised the locket to his lips and kissed it, striking a memory in his head.
"Azazel, we have come to worship you." They bowed as Dracula sprinkled the sacred water on the statu
Weary ye shall be,Seeking redemptionLike a bat,Blind in the day,Never to walk the earth in the mornOr ye shall burnA living dead,Bloodsucking monster,Causing the heart of your beloved to bleedIn the turmoils of HadesNever to return!~~ Poem written by Afeare Adesuwa~~~~~~"I'm sorry, master." Dracula shivered, rushing down to bow. "It's not what you think?""What's going on?" Lucy asked, shaking under the blanket as she darted her eyes from Dracula to the man in a villain coat."Silence!" The devil flipped the bedside table and it crashed, earning a deafening scream from Lucy. "What is it then, Dracula?""Nature happened." Dracula mumbled, his head still kissing the floor as he bowed."You broke the only rule I gave. I never expected you to be the one to break it." Poison dripped from his v
Maris~6:23pm"You!" Maris yelled the moment she got to the surface of the water and shot tranquilizers at Logan. "I wish you'd choke on your tongue."Logan threw his head back and barked out an annoying laughter from the back of his throat. He leaned back on the water and floated on it.Suddenly, Maris jumped on him, splashing water everywhere and he sank with her before going back up."Hey, you wanna kill me?" He wrapped his arms around her waist and a frown kissed his forehead."Let me go." She banged her fist on his chest with a sour expression. "Why did you throw me into the water like a bag of chips?""Cause you need a bath," he whispered between laughs, definitely enjoying getting on her nerves."Bitch." She tried to push him away, but he tightened his grip around her waist."Isn't that what you are?" He cocked up his brows, eyes staring deep into that of Maris.Maris' brows puckered a
Maris' eyes twitched, followed by her fingers then whispers erupted around her."She's moving." A faint voice muttered. It wasn't a familiar one.Slowly, Maris unlatched her eyes with an unclear vision. She turned her head and glanced around, her vision becoming better the harder she tried to look. Finally, she could get a clear image of the people around her.Suddenly, her breathing intensified as she saw three hyenas staring owlishly at her, their faces too close to her body."Where am I?" She raised her head up immediately and they moved back. "Ouch!" She winced when she felt a slight headache spreading through her head. "What did you guys do to me?"She attempted nursing her head, but couldn't–there was something holding her wrist and she drifted her gaze down to see belt like straps clutching her wrist like a bracelet to the wooden bed they had laid her on."What's this?" She asked, struggling to get out of
The man with locks sling his cross bow across his chest and cocked a brow at her, sweeping her from head to toe with his eyes."What?" Maris stared back, sparing her body a glance to see if she wasn't putting on her clothes well.He narrowed his eyes at her and she refrained from rolling hers."Nothing." He shrugged and averted his gaze to the other side of the woods."Uhm, okay." She replied, unsure of what else to say till a bell rang in her head. "Oh, pardon my manners. Thank you so much for saving me back there."Her eyes glittered and the man couldn't help, but smile at her for being so charming."Oh, it's nothing." He waved his hand in the air as if there was something he was driving away. "Where are you from?""Uhm..." She placed her hands on her hips and gave him a long skeptical look before something caught her attention, the ruffling of a nearby bush."Can you find your way ba
"Today is your lucky day, I'm going to spare your life." Maris seethed, slowly calming down and losing energy. "But sleep tight, maniac."She waved her hands and a stool flew from the corner of the room, hitting Richard at the back of his head and sending him to the ground. Her vision was blurry for a few seconds before it went back to normal. She staggered to his unconscious body on the floor and gave him a kick to his stomach."And stay away from me!" She exclaimed and stormed out of the cave.Once she was pretty far from the cave, she walked to a tall tree and plastered her back on it, sliding to the floor with her knees drawn to her chest."Did I really do that?" She questioned herself and opened both her palms to stare at them. "Am I really a witch?"Questions spluttered around in her head as she tried to figure who she was and why she was that strong. She knew she was born with an enchanting voice, but she had never u
DraculaHe breathed fire from his nose, marching down the stairs with steps enough to break through a wooden floor."Mark!" He yelled, anger pumping through his veins with a clenched jaw.He got into the living room and glanced around the grey painted walls before settling his gaze on the milk leather cushions. He met the gaze of a girl who he thought was a little too skinny.Immediately, she averted her gaze and sat up."Hello, master." She greeted, her head bowed."Where's that bastard?!" He gnashed his teeth, trying his possible best not to transfer his aggression to the girl."Who, sir?" She raised her head to look at him with a questioning gaze.Dracula stopped for a minute and solely wondered why her collar bones were that protruding. Was she sick?"Mark." He answered shortly, taking in her features."I think he went to get some stuff with Greg." She responded and go
Maris~8:00pmMaris' body went still for a minute before she thrust her chest and straightened her gown, hoping she was actually looking beautiful in the dress."Hel-" she spun and her joy was cut short when she met the gaze of somebody different. "Lo..." She completed the word and had a quick once over at him.He had on a peach suit and a great body. He towered above her, a smile playing at the corners of his thin lips the color of her pink lip gloss."Hello..." He drawled, his smile growing wider as he took her hand in his palm and raised it to his lips. "My lady." He left a kiss on the back of her palm and her insides clenched."Uhm, hi." She tittered, not having a knowledge of who the god in front of her was. "Do I know you?""Yes." He nodded, showing off his single dimple. Maris couldn't help, but to mirror his contagious smile. "The guy whose butt you were admiring.""What?" Her smile was now replaced with a fro
"Me?" Maris asked, turning her head to see if there was anybody behind."Yes, what are you doing in this place?" The queen questioned with hatred dripping from her voice. "You're not welcome here.""Mother, stop it!" Logan slid in between her and Maris, shielding his consort with his body. "I will not let you make my guest feel neglected.""I'm not neglecting her," Logan's mother said, eyeing her from head to toe. "She knows who she is and what her kind did.""My kind?" Maris said in a question like manner with a look of confusion spreading all over her face. "I don't understand."She took a step back and looked down at her body before taking her gaze higher to the woman."Don't play that game with me." The queen scowled then pointed a finger at her."Mother, why are you doing this?" Sanna asked, stepping into their midst."She is a siren." The mother stated through gritted teeth and her body shook as she took in de
There was a pallid look on Maris' face by the time she strode deeper into the place that was dimly lit by a light, reflected from metres away. The discoloration on her face meant one thing–she was uncomfortable and something dark was lurking in this room, which pricked at her skin, causing her to swallow hard. Eyes scanning the place that looked like an ice cave, she was mesmerized amidst uneasiness. She led them, following the blue light with Dracula by her side. She could hear just how his heart was beating in anticipation."Maris." Egon called and she froze in her tracks, taking her time to glance over her shoulder. "Come, I have something to show you."Maris chanced a glance at the devil's displeased demeanor. He wore a mask of irritation as he watched Egon whisk her away to a darker path on the right."Where are you going?" Dracula and Logan asked, distaste laced in their words as they quickly shared a look of hat
"Why should I trust you?" Dracula gave Egon a long skeptical look with both his eyes squinted."Because it's fact. I mean, why do you think the devil made it a forbidden place and doesn't allow us sirens and tritons, owners of the land to visit there?" Egon questioned, making a lot of sense. "Because he doesn't want anyone to get a hold of his weakness."Dracula hummed, stroking his chin lightly and thinking deep about what Egon had just said."Think about how powerful you'll be if you get a hold of the Crystal. Give us Maris and we'd take you there." Egon tried to strike a deal, but Dracula shook his head in dismay."No, I'm not letting you have Maris just like that. What if you're lying?" Dracula's brows knitted into a frown as he pierced his eyes into that of Egon's."We'll take you there ourselves then." Egon offered and Dracula gave it a long thought before accepting. They journeyed together again, chatteri
Cold fear settled in her stomach when she locked gazes with Dracula. Darkness sat on his head like a crown and caused Maris to stop breathing for a minute. His face had a stoic expression on it with dead eyes. He held his index finger to his lips and swiped his thumb on his neck, gesturing for her to keep shut or die.Well, what a zinger. Dracula was breaching the agreement he had with her people for the sake of his own selfish reasons. He pressed his palm harder to her lips and dragged her quietly out of the tent, into the cold night. Bats flew over them and black birds stood on the branches of the tall trees surrounding them.At the drop of a hat, he whisked Maris away and deeper into the forest, carrying her bridal style. Maris had seen enough this season and she would give anything just to be free and normal again."There he is." Dick pointed at Dracula enthusiastically when he had arrived. "Tie her, she's a fighte
MarisMaris' breathing accelerated, so did her heart beat. Her muscles tensed and she vibrated, palms balled into fists. The sight of Dracula gripping Logan's throat set her soul on fire.Abruptly, she broke the chain around her wrist, turned and grasped the neck of the vampire that was refraining her from going over to Dracula."Dracula!" Her voice sounded like a whistle, causing the vampires to whine, hands covering their ears. "Leave him alone or I'll kill him!"Dracula dryly looked at her like he was bored to death–saying, "Really?"His brows arched and Maris had a firm grip on the vampire's neck who gasped for air. Her eyes turned eerily black. The strength in her multiplied as she gritted her teeth and was slowly raising the vampire with his neck.Dracula wasn't in anyway bothered. He continued to tighten his grip, closing up Logan's windpipe. The fact it didn't make Dracula flinch made her fr
Dracula"Who are you?" Dracula stepped forward, pushing Lucy behind him to safety, his fangs slowly shooting out."My name is Egon Ajax Kayden and I am a Triton, fill in leader of the sirens." He announced, flames burning in his eyes as he set his staff down. "You have what belongs to us!"Dracula scrunched up his face and glanced around him for anything he might have taken from the siren kingdom. He hadn't even been there before.Maris was excited, she could feel a connection with the man. Could he be her brother or father? But this man was too young to be her dad."No, I don't." Dracula shrugged, interlocking fingers with Lucy in an attempt to walk out, but the Triton stopped him by holding out his staff to Dracula's chest."Yes, you do. You have one of our kind and we heard her cry for help." He stated, still keeping his cool."Wait, aren't sirens just women?" Dracula frowned. "I thought the males got
Maris~~Azazel's dungeon."Help me, I need to get out of this place." Maris sobbed, tears trailing down her cheeks. With her back against the bars, she slid down to the floor and hugged her knees to her chest."I just want everything to go back to normal, I want Logan." She wailed, earning a pitiful look from Lucy."I wish there was a way to help you, but my fate is even worse than yours." Lucy sighed, resting her head on the wall.Maris sat up, remembering something her mother had told her when she was alive. She pulled off both her earrings and laid them in her palms. The earrings had the same symbol on her wrist and her mother's face flashed in her head."Whenever you're in trouble, cry to this or hold it and scream help." Her mother instructed, pinning the earrings to her ears. "And you'll be saved."Maris snapped back to reality and began to cry, feeling the root of bitterness in the depth
DraculaDracula was before the king of darkness, bowing down and using his fist for support. Getting to his feet, they locked gazes and Azazel grinned a wicked one before sitting on his throne."Now that I've brought her to you, can you fulfil your own part of the deal?" Dracula asked impatiently, tapping his foot on the ground."What deal?" The devil stroked his chin and stared at the space between them as he pretended to be thinking about something."What do you mean by what deal?" Dracula glowered at the devil who reclined on his throne with his legs widely apart."Oh, to free the woman whom you've been cheating on with many women?" Azazel asked, resting his chin on his fist and looking away like he was bored to death."I am a man with hormones." Drac defended himself and the devil's eyes danced in silent laughter as he stared amusingly at his supposed best friend."Hormones?" Azazel sat up and p
Maris' lips twitched into a smile as she felt Logan's palms caressing her face."I love you, Maris." He pulled her closer to him and devoured her lips like it was his first time of getting romantic with a woman. "I don't want to ever lose you.""Neither do I," she whispered over his lips and the heated make out session continued. He rubbed everything, kissed everything and licked her very weak spot–her neck. It was the fastest way to turn Maris on. One soft bite and she would turn into a river."Make Love to me." She moaned, enjoying every wave of pleasure that plunged her soul.Clothes on the floor and in one insane second he was drilling her, earning loud moans from Maris.A hand around her neck and she choked, tears welling up in her eyes. Logan spanked her and rapidly tapped her cheeks. She never knew he was a beast in bed, but she was loving every stroke and roughness.
"How far are we from wherever we're going?" Maris asked, already tired of walking."We'll be there soon." Linda jumped on a stone and held the tree beside her with the side of her other hand above her eyes to shield them from the sun."I'm thirsty!" Maris slumped on the floor with her mouth open."Well, you're in luck because there's a waterfall over there." Linda pointed out and Maris sat up, feeling parched.Linda jumped down and moved farther so did Maris, who was trailing behind her not seeing clearly. Must be the dehydration."Why's the sun so hot?" Maris gulped, cringing at how the saliva she swallowed felt like a ball of fire to the walls of her throat. "Feels like I'm gonna die.""No, you wouldn't." Linda held Maris' hand and wrapped it around her shoulder. "Plus, we both need a bath."Linda sniffed her pits and shrugged, it wasn't even as bad as she thought."Why are you so different?" Mar
