As the elevator door slide open. I stepped through the doors and make my way to the studio. Sure! Here’s an expanded version of the scene:

I stepped into the studio, my eyes immediately drawn to a beautiful dress displayed on a mannequin. The dress was a white, with intricate beading and embroidery that sparkled in the light. The skirt flowed gracefully, as if caught in a gentle breeze. I couldn’t help but imagine how stunning it would look on someone.

As I walked further into the room, I noticed a girl sleeping at a table. Her head was resting on her arms, and her long hair cascaded over her face, obscuring it from view. She looked peaceful, as if lost in a dream. I wondered who she was and what had brought her to this place. Was she a designer, working late into the night? Or perhaps a model, taking a break between photo shoots?

Around her, the floor was scattered with fabric and beads, as if she had been working on something before falling asleep.

“Damn it! I’m going to be late for work,” I exclaimed and jumping to my feet. It was a lie, because I couldn’t let Ed recognize me. Why the hell was he stalking me? I was so done with this. “Please, God just make me invisible so he can’t see me,” I begged silently. I stormed towards the exit, but Ed stepped in front of me, blocking my way with his infuriating silhouette.“Hey! Wait up, where do you think you’re going?” he demanded." What do you mean? let me go!" I tried walk pass him but failed to do it because he was blocking the exit. He was staring at me so intensely, his eyes never leaving mine. It felt like he was trying to read my thoughts, to understand what was going on inside my head. I could feel the heat of his gaze on me, and it made me feel exposed and vulnerable. I remain quiet for a moment, but my mind is racing with confusion. How could Ed be Miss Liliana’s boss? It doesn’t seem possible. Ed never mentioned it to me, or perhaps he was lying. But why would he lie? My thoughts are jumbled and nothing makes sense.I decide to ask Miss Liliana about Ed.“Psst… Psst…” I try to get Miss Liliana’s attention by making a sound, but she doesn’t respond. She seems to be ignoring me completely, as if she thinks I’m some crazy woman who can’t tell the difference between two people. My confusion grows and I feel a knot forming in my stomach. I am determined to get to the bottom of this, so I elbow her to get her attention again.“What’s your problem, girl? Why can’t you stand still and keep quiet for a moment?”“I’m sorry, Miss Liliana, but I can’t keep quiet until I find out who Ed is,” I say, my voice shaking with uncertainty.“I’ve told you a million times that he’s not Ed. He nonchalantly ripped a cheque from his book and began to write.I stood there, my mind a whirlwind of disbelief and confusion. Did he feel no guilt, no shame after everything I had laid bare to him, or was he so lost in his own world that he couldn’t see the truth?“Here’s a cheque for 100k dollars,” he declared with an unsettling calmness.“100k dollars?” I repeated, the words barely a whisper. The sight of the cheque sent shockwaves through me. This was a life-changing amount of money that could solve so many of my problems.“If you’re willing to tell me who you’re working for, there’s more where that came from,” he added, dangling the cheque in front of me like bait. The deputy, a stern figure of authority, gestured for the officer who had escorted me to his office to wait outside. The heavy oak door closed with a resounding thud, leaving me alone in the room, my heart pounding with anticipation and a sense of foreboding. As the echo of the closing door faded, I turned my attention back to the deputy. His stern gaze met mine as I began to plead my case. “Sir,” I implored, my voice echoing in the silence of the room, “I assure you, I am innocent. This is a setup. My actions were purely in self-defense against that monster. He’s the real criminal here. The faint hum of a fluorescent light was the only sound that filled the silence. The table, worn by time and use, bore the marks of countless conversations. Each scratch and stain a testament to the stories it had silently witnessed. The chairs, though not luxurious, seemed inviting in their own way." You can have a seat! I spun around, presenting the USB drive to Heather. Her eyes sparkled with relief and excitement. "Thank heavens, we've located it just in time. The runway show has already started," she exclaimed. "What? The show has begun? We need to get this USB drive to Alan Soros before the show ends," I responded, a sense of urgency creeping into my voice. "You're absolutely right. Hand me the USB drive. I'll rush it over to Alan. Meanwhile, you should go and locate Declan and Robin," Heather instructed, extending her hand towards me. Without a second thought, I placed the USB drive in her outstretched hand. Heather curled her fingers around the USB drive, a smirk playing on her lips. It was an expression I hadn't seen on her face before, "Heather, what's going on?" I asked her. In a split second, Heather's demeanor changed. The friendly, supportive Heather I knew seemed to vanish, replaced by a stranger. She looked at me, her eyes cold and distant.
