“What? After you gave all those gifts to me because you said you like me, you want me to pay all of those gifts now just because I don’t want you anymore?!”

Levi and I look to our left side when we heard Cassidy shouting at someone in the phone.

I then look at Levi worriedly, thinking that she’ll go loud once again because of that certain person she is talking to. We are all in the department store right now, following Cassidy’s whims earlier, but hearing her talk with someone like that worries me so much.

She can really literally go crazy even in public and I could not hold it that way. She is a freakish one since she is raised as the spoiled brat in the family.

“Jerk, what do you think of me, your lending company? Are you that thick-faced?!”

I watch how she continuously pull some coats from the shelf while talking in the phone. I found Everleigh’s gaze and she is also curious on what is going on here.

“Stop her.” I told Levi but the

After a few seconds, I saw how he lean back on his chair without removing that little smirk on his face. I then realized what just happened and because of that, I grab the first thing I saw on his table and threw it at him. "Wait, what the–" We both look at each other after I did that. Alaric looks so surprised and shock at the same time— even some of the students around the area look at our side.I bow a little to apologise before looking back down at Alaric. “I am so sorry but I forgot that I still have to meet with someone at two.”Realization also dawned inside him before checking for the time on his wrist watch. “It’s 1:59 already. You are going late.”“I feel so wrong. Thank you for today and I am sorry as well. Promise, I’ll be sparing a full of my time for this Thesis next time.”He chuckled. “It’s fine, Dionne. Go. I will be staying here to read this book.”With a nodding head, I bid my goodbye at Alaric and before checking my phone notification if perhaps, Miste

Because of what he said, I could not find the right poise and stance the moment it sank inside me that I am here to meet his Dad. I started to look around, clueless on what to do next since I haven’t think about this carefully and now, I want to regret everything— thinking that meeting his dad is like only meeting an old friend. “Goodness–“ My words are cut off when I felt how Mister Dawson wrap his left arm around my waist, making me stand cold and stiff the moment he did that. I am about to complain when the gate slowly opens, showing a good-looking man maybe in his late fifties. I am not sure if I look alright right now but I force a smile on my face as soon as our eyes met. “H-Hi!” I greeted. “Ah, damn it.” Mister Dawson whispered so I look at him. With so much guts slowly building inside me, I move my right arm to Mister Dawson’s waist before I look back on his Dad. “Mister Dawson, good afternoon.” I politely uttered. He stares at

I am inside the library of this house since the two men are both talking to each other privately. Mister Dawson asked me sweetly earlier in front of his Dad if where would I like to spend my free time here and God knows I wanted to laugh at him— face to face. The way his nose secretly flares when he saw me wanting to laugh made it even funnier. My eyes wander around the place and notice how the books are piled according and the place seems cleaned despite from the fact that some of the books in here is quite old now. “Perhaps, some of these are owned by his Dad.” I murmured to myself. I walk towards the other part of the shelf when I notice picture frame on top it and saw a man wearing a university toga. I tilted my head before flashing a little smile. “It’s Tito.” I whispered. My eyes move around once again until a colorful book caught my attention from the other shelf. This books here seems new so perhaps these are ne

I look around after asking myself that unanswered question before standing up. I move my eyes around only to notice that the room is black and white themed. The place is so clean and organize that even my won room would get shy because it is full of dirt and mess. “I could not even see any laundry everywhere.” I added while I continue walking around. “Is this Mister Dawson’s room?” My so many unanswered questions have been finally justified when I notice a literature textbook on top of a working table inside this room. I bit my upper lip, thinking that he might be here earlier while I was sleeping and I suddenly got worried on how do I look like while sleeping. Another opened book is on top of the table so I move to read it for a while killing the time. “William Wordsworth’s contributions to Romantic poetry can be divided into two categories. The first is his impact on literary excellence, and the second is his influence on his contemporaries

Since I feel a little hungry now, I put the book down to grab my phone before standing up to go out from the library. I scan for anyone I can talk to but the hallway on the second floor is empty. I decided to roam around the area since I haven’t got the chance to do that earlier so as I was walking towards the last room, on the last part of the hallway there is a one big frame situated in the center. My head tilted a little when I saw a family portrait and the two people are both very familiar to me and I am certain that it’s Mister Dawson and his Dad. The other person is a beautiful woman who has this small face and small-formed lips and she definitely look good on her white wedding gown. “Where is she now?” I asked myself while going closer towards the image. It just feel so real. They are all good-looking and Mister Dawson seem to get his thin lips from his Mom and the rest of his features came from his Dad. I smiled a little before crossing both of my arms across

The whole place goes silent after Mister Dawson said that, even Tito himself shut his mouth and continue eating. I have no choice but to eat as well even though there are so many questions running inside my mind and I know, there is a deeper reason why Mister Dawson s aid that. It’s not only about because I am around, but I am certain there is more to it—and well, I am getting nosy once again. I cleared my throat when I could not bear the silence anymore. Tito look up at me and I smiled automatically. “Tito, my best friend and I often bakes cake whenever we feel like doing it. Do you want me to bake something for you?” He blinks his eyes twice before transferring his gaze to his son but look back at me anyway with a smile on his face. “Sure! That would be great! I would be expecting from you this weekend?” “Dad, we can’t be here this weeken—“ “Sure, Tito!” I exclaimed before Mister Dawson finished his statement. I look at him when I notice tha

Days and weeks passed by so fast. Damian and I maintained the distance, we did not talk like the usual. We just talk about the improvements of the baby, nothing more personal. I kept reminding myself to be strong for this little me inside me and that I should continue this damn of a hell-hole.Today, it’s Friday. Leigh and Alaric would be coming here after class so I prepared and ordered foods for us. Damian already said himself that I can definitely treat this house as my own, so inviting my friends would not be a big deal. In fact, he even went to pay Aubrey a visit on their rented unit last day so I think we are both fair towards each other. I cup my belly when my stomach growl. I check for the time and sees it’s almost twelve in the afternoon already so I grab some few slices from the steak I ordered from Denvi’s place. I go on my monthly check up as well and

It’s already eight in the evening when Alaric sent me home after hours of riding the car near the sea side. After Damian left earlier, Alaric invited me for a drive for me to ease the burden feeling I was dealing with earlier. Unlike what Damian said, I did not wait for him back there. And now, as I head inside the n=entrance of the house, the lights from the living room are already off except upstairs. I do not know what pushes me to invite him here but I just feel like going in here, did not really expect that he’ll go with me.Few seconds passed when I saw him offering me a tumbler of water, moving it to and fro in front of my face. “Here.”My gaze shifted towards him confusedly. “You already drank in here.” I muttered, reminding him that he already used this and I don’t think it’s appropriate for me to use it as well, knowing that he used it first-hand.He chuckled. “Right. It was so stupid of me not to realize that.” He mumbled before looking around the area. “You wait here. We are almost done on our Thesis which is an advantage so that we don’t have to worry anymore after finals. “Should I talk with Damian instead? I have just few questions to ask.” Alaric said in the middle of our silence. I look at him and he is seriously typing on his laptop while not looking at me. I then turn around to look upstairs before nodding my head. “Sure, if you want to.” I simply mumbled before I fix few useless papers on the carpet. Alaric just nod my head, not responding anymore. Few more minutes has passed one more time when he stand up. I follow him with my gaze as he started roaming around. “Uh, are you seeing him now?” He shake his head with a smile. “No, I was about to ask if you guys can print out papers here.” I immediately nod my head and stand up. “Of course.
