I climb the stairs again and went straight to the balcony I saw earlier even though I am still carrying my duffel bag. I sat comfortably on the chair that is facing on the colourful lights from the other side of the subdivision.

“I think it is not part of the subdivision anymore.” I side commented while twisting the bottle. I then realize that I did not bring a wine glass that I should use when pouring the wine, making me groan and stand immediately to grab one. I even tiptoed when passing in front of Mister Dawson’s room so that he cant notice someone behind the door and saw me drinking his wine collection.

“Pft..” I chuckle before finally pouring a little amount of it in the wine glass.

I closes my eyes the moment that the taste linger inside my throat and on how it sips down to my veins. The familiar taste of this sweet liquor send me nostalgic pleasures that I felt before.

“Wow…” I muttered before pouring another amount of drink in my glass.

I move my gaze away from him and saw him leaning comfortably on his seat, a grin is also visible on his face. I cleared my throat and decided to walk away from him with my duffel bag. “Fix yourself and sane yourself up, Mister Dawson.” I said before finally walking away from him, not turning my head around one more time. I am afraid that I might fall into his grins and go clingy once again. I did not know that he is easy to get drunk just by sipping on his four glass of wine which is kinda low in alcohol. “Weakling.” I murmured before I enter the guest room to also sane myself up. “Gosh, I wish I was just drunk and forget everything what happened.” I told myself as I fall of regret moved own inside me. I open my spotify and pick a boomed music so that I can clear my mind and erase all that scenes that keeps on playing inside my mind. “Ooh, look what you made me doLook what you made me do~” I lay down on the bed, feeling a

I stand from the couch when I feel like going to bathroom all of a sudden. I ran towards there when I suddenly heard a car parking outside, making me move faster inside the bathroom. “He’s here already?” I talked to myself. I went outside and saw Mister Dawson’s Raptor being park in front where the garage is and he then went out the car, surprise to see me first in his house. “You guys done?” I asked before going back inside to lay back in the couch. I heard the opening and closing of the door, a sign that he already entered the house but heard him groan so I look at him. “What are these things?” He asked in a tone as if he is so annoyed seeing my socks and shoes on the carpet. I look at him and awkwardly stand up to pick my things. “Sorry, I was just getting excited reading so I forgot that I have to pick these.” I awkwardly stated and sat back down on the couch. He shake his head and went to the other couch to sit down and ou

"Don't you have class to attend to?" Everleigh annoyingly asked as she sat and occupy the chair across where I am sitting. I follow her with my gaze a she sat down with a hint of frustration on her face. It's almost Mister Dawson's time for class but I am still here inside the cafeteria, called Everleigh to join me on my breakfast even from the fact that she has ongoing class right now. "Did you know that I lied to our Professor that I am going to click to get checked? Look what the hell you made me do, btch." I chuckled as I sip on the tin can of this soft drink I ordered. "Have you seen Cassidy?" She look at me this time, realizing what I asked when I notice how she manage to say straight, leaning forward towards me. "Right, I haven't seen her a while now. She wasn't calling me either." She said before rolling her eyes. "The only person who keeps on pestering me the last few days is you, you got the world's problem behind you?" I followed how Everleigh sat back across my seat with a wide smile. It intrigues me as well so I lean forward to ask if what did Uncle Tommy told her. "What's with that wide grin, huh?" I asked sheepishly. For the final scoop of the letche plan she had from me, Everleigh raises her gaze at me, her grin is still being plastered on her face. "Dad told me that we'll go a weekend vacation this weekend!" My eyes bulges out, excited on their family bonding that she has been waiting for a very long time. I can see the excitement on my best friend's face at this moment. She has been requesting her parents to spend a quality time as a family but they were always busy on their own corporate works. I hold her hand that is being laid on top of the table and look at on her own eyes. "Then spend it with them!" She nods her head excitedly. "Of course, I will! I would gladly cancel my loads that day ju

I stare at Alaric for a while before hissing and turning away jokingly from him. “Yah!” He exclaimed as he follows me from behind. “Don’t you think it’s kinda scandalous for letting me tail you while I am nagging?” I stop on my trance and look at me. “You owe it to yourself, man.” He gasp. “You told me yourself that you owe me for lunch and no—“ I automatically step towards him to stop him from speaking what he was about to say. I roll my eyes heavenwards before I waive my hands in front of him, telling him to shut up and follow me. Alaric chuckled as he walks on my side with his guitar and a wide smile on his face. “I never thought you can be that lame.” I commented which makes me laugh in my own. “Dionne…” I felt someone tap me on my cheek so I slowly open my eyes to check if who the person is. My eyes then widens upon the sight of Tito Albert leaning down towards me who is still lying down on the couch. I automatically stand up while looking around, checking if what time it is now but my phone is nowhere to be found. “T-Tito,” I called while wiping my face for possible unnecessary aftermath of sleep. “I am sorry I overslept, what time is it now?” I asked. He chuckle. “No, it is fine. We just got arrived few minutes ago and Damian is in the kitchen preparing the dinner.” Hearing the name itself made me remember what happened earlier. I then purse my lips together before I force a smile and look back at Tito Albert who is still smiling while looking at me. I nod my head as I start standing up to grab my bag from the couch and the book that Damian gave earlier. Speaking of that, why can’t he just give me this book in here instead of givi

Since he is so close to me, I could not help but to stare through his eyes and notice how he has this deep set of eyes as if it wants to devour my wholeness and read what is on my mind. I hiss, looking away. “Did you get drunk?” I stupidly asked even though I know that he doesn’t smell like that. He blink his eyes once before shaking his head. “Nah. But I think I will soon get drunk tonight.”With a confuse face, I look behind him to check if he got liquors on his table but the moment I look back at him, he pin me closer to the wall, making me shriek a little and widen my eyes in pure shock. “What the hell, Dawson?!” I exclaimed, trying to let go from him but he just chuckle despite my eagerness to let go from his hold. Like the usual, the table is being blessed with a prayer by Tito. I really made it sure that I can go with them, and I even left my phone upstairs to prevent some possible disturbance while we are eating. I have been so embarrassed from the last time and right now, I don’t want that to happen anymore. The table went on for minutes without a floating conversation which made me a little comfortable since I would not be in a hot seat if this will continue. While enjoying the food that they both order for take-out, Damian cleared out his throat so Tito and I look at him. “I will be conducting an exam three days from now. So while you have the chance to read the book, you have two days to read it like what I have said earlier.”My eyes widen. “You did not tell the class! Three days from now? Days and weeks passed by so fast. Damian and I maintained the distance, we did not talk like the usual. We just talk about the improvements of the baby, nothing more personal. I kept reminding myself to be strong for this little me inside me and that I should continue this damn of a hell-hole.Today, it’s Friday. Leigh and Alaric would be coming here after class so I prepared and ordered foods for us. Damian already said himself that I can definitely treat this house as my own, so inviting my friends would not be a big deal. In fact, he even went to pay Aubrey a visit on their rented unit last day so I think we are both fair towards each other. I cup my belly when my stomach growl. I check for the time and sees it’s almost twelve in the afternoon already so I grab some few slices from the steak I ordered from Denvi’s place. I go on my monthly check up as well and

People there are enjoying their little vacation, perhaps some of these are students who just finished their term exam. We are both leaning on his car while we are on the side way. Silence envelopes us for long minutes now, no one is talking. We just enjoyed our company without necessary words to speak. I know that there are lots of question running through his head, even I.Questions like, why? Where did we go wrong? Did I trust him too much? Was I that gullible? And lastly, why is he treating Aubrey unlikely? But the latter seems cool seeing us yesterday—like the first day I saw her. I do not know if was I too stupid not to notice or there is really something going on between Damian and I.A loud sigh escape from my lips before tilting my head. “Aren’t you hungry?” I asked to break the silence, remembering that we never had our lunch still. After Damian left earlier, Alaric invited me for a drive for me to ease the burden feeling I was dealing with earlier. Unlike what Damian said, I did not wait for him back there. And now, as I head inside the n=entrance of the house, the lights from the living room are already off except upstairs. I took a heavy breath while going towards the kitchen and drink a glass of water. I lean for a few seconds on the counter before removing my blazer as I walk upstairs, burnt out and with a heavy heart.I check the balcony of Damian is there but he wasn’t so I am sure he is inside his room.
