GUNNAR

Two hours later, I called for a pack meeting, summoning only the elders and the other high-ranking members of the pack.

I stated the time of the meeting clearly, but it seemed that most of them barely managed to arrive in time, while the rest were nowhere to be seen.

Nathaniel and his son were absent, along with the elders who were loyal to him. I observed the meeting hall through the eyes of my wolves standing at strategic positions surrounding the building. Leaving Aqua in her state was difficult for me, but since I promised her that I was going to give her an explanation, then that's exactly what I was going to do.

After waiting for another thirty minutes, I placed Aqua in my bedroom and left some instructions for my daughter before I left the house.

Just as I was about to get into my car, another car suddenly arrived in front of my house. My jaw tightened when I saw Hannah stepping out of the car and walking towards me with fast, hurried steps.

GUNNARAs I parked my car near the meeting hall, I stopped to check if the people I had been waiting for had arrived. However, their absence could already be sensed by the lack of cars in the parking lot. But I reined in my anger and entered the building, my boots hitting the asphalt with purpose. Once my secretary saw me, she immediately shot to her feet, her posture rigid as she paid her respects. “Y-Your Majesty,” she greeted, her voice trembling. “Y-You are finally here. I have been waiting—”I cut her off, my patience reaching its limits. “Announce me.” My secretary blinked once to process my orders fully, and then she walked towards the door to announce me. “His Majesty is here!”As I walked into the room, a sudden hush fell over the entire place, expelling the previous noise. The people present were mostly elders who had nothing to do with the case and the pack priestess who was here to make sure the chaos happened to a minimal degree. They bowed their heads towards me as

GUNNARNathaniel and his sons knelt down in front of me, their faces scrunched in pain. They must have all forgotten about their beasts' instinct to submit to the most powerful wolf in the pack. I reveled in their unwilling deposition, their human minds warring against the undeniable law of nature.Pathetic creatures. With slow, measured steps, I stood before Nathaniel, observing him. His entire forehead was covered with large beads of sweat, yet he still managed the calm deposition of a head elder. “Now that your third son is out of the way, let's talk about the important matters we need to discuss...” I said, staring down at him. “...the first one being the question about what audacity you had to arrive after me. Did you hit your head somewhere today?”Nathaniel's lips remained shut even though his entire body was trembling from head to toe. I commanded him. “Speak.”“N-No, Your Majesty,” he sputtered. I narrowed my eyes at him, my voice growing darker. “Do I look like your fuckin

AQUAI felt like I woke up from a dream. A very bad dream. When I finally woke up, I blinked a couple of times to make sure I wasn't dead before I tried out other subtle movements to check if I was still able to move. My muscles felt tight and sore, making me wince from the actions. I summoned the strength to sit up and placed my feet on the cold, tiled floor. The moment I tried to stand, a wave of dizziness enveloped me, forcing me to collapse back onto the bed with a soft thud. As I lay there, my eyes began to wander around the room, searching for information about my surroundings. It felt both strange and oddly familiar. The decor was minimalist, yet it held a certain warmth. The walls were occupied by the presence of luxurious furs that adorned the space. Rich fur mats covered the floor, plush fur blankets draped gracefully over the furniture, and the bedsheets were a soft, inviting layer that promised warmth and comfort. From what I could tell, this was Gunnar's room. My he

AQUAAfter hearing the entire situation of the pack, I was so speechless and shocked that I turned speechless. According to what I heard from Kianna, Gunnar had transformed into the incarnation of a demon king. He now meted out his punishments with a cold, precise practicality and the news of his sudden change of behavior was spreading fast across the other packs. “So where is he now?” I asked, nervousness sinking into my chest. If I could just locate him, I was sure that I would be able to talk some sense into him. Kianna replied. “He's on a royal tour right now. From what I heard the ladies speaking, a total of five alphas have died recently after his visit.”I buried my face into my hands, my eyes closing from despair. “Oh, dear goddess.”After hearing everything, I couldn't help but think that's it was my fault. Gunnar's wolf must have panicked about my condition and gone crazy. My biggest fear was pushing him into a rogue state that would ultimately lead to his death. And then,

  • Capturing The Alpha King's Heart.    Waking Up In His Second House.

AQUAAfter meeting Gunnar last night, he took me to another house in the center of the pack and left me there. It was a house that was once occupied by the previous alpha of the Storm Fire pack, but Gunnar refused to stay there after he was appointed. I guess it was because of Tia, who had been hiding her identity as a rogue wolf, and now his daughter, whom the pack wasn't aware of.I waited patiently for him to return, but he never returned that night. The next morning, Gunnar finally returned to the house during the early hours when I was sleeping. I felt light taps on my body, causing me to open my eyes to see a young woman staring at me."Hello!" she greeted me with a bright smile. "I see you are finally awake. Gunnar is waiting for you in the living room."When I heard her words, I stopped rubbing my eyes and darted towards the door. But the lady appeared again, blocking my path with her arms spread wide."I think it would be best if you freshen up first," she advised, her tone l

  • Capturing The Alpha King's Heart.    Put On A Collar?!

AQUAA week later..."Excuse me, may I book a reservation for massage therapy next week?"I suppressed a smile when Kinna replied to the customer in her soft, demure voice. I had already told her the minimum number of customers we should take daily for our new business, but it seemed she also had a difficult time refusing the people who requested our services. Our business was only a week old, yet we were already having more customers than expected. After taking a stroll through the pack, I realized Kianna had been underestimating the degree of hatred the people there had for me. I still didn't know what rumors Hannah had spread against me, but everyone I saw kept giving me hostile looks, so I quickly abandoned the plan I had in mind.I knew I needed to find a job after leaving Gunnar's house and returning his credit card. The problem was that no one was willing to hire me, and I couldn't risk venturing out of the Storm Fire pack since submissive wolves were often victims of rape and

  • Capturing The Alpha King's Heart.    Finding The Answers To Her Questions.

AQUAI knew I was making a foolish decision to enter the heart of the pack once again, but I had no choice since that was where Gunnar had chosen to stay for the time being. Thinking about Fawn, I couldn't help but worry how she was faring without her father watching over her. Although she was a spoiled, selfish brat who had caused me problems so many times, I couldn't forget that she was just a child. That's why I intended to speak to Gunnar about these matters once and for all. When the cab pulled up in front of the meeting hall, I paid the driver with the spare change I’d grabbed from the counter and stepped inside. The moment I crossed the threshold, I froze. The interior was unrecognizable, transformed into something cold and unsettling. A shiver ran down my spine.Who in their right mind would request an audience with the Alpha King in this place?“Excuse me!” a voice called out. As I continued to examine the place, a hand suddenly tapped my shoulder, causing me to turn around

  • Capturing The Alpha King's Heart.    Forcing Her To Wear A Collar.

GUNNARAs soon as Aqua was done talking, she immediately spun around and started walking towards the door. The sight was slightly amusing and infuriating at the same time. I took some time to appreciate the sight of her ass before I got up from my seat. Aqua's eyebrows shot up when she saw me right in front of her. My hands slammed the door shut as I stared down at the woman who had the guts to yell at me. “So you think you can strut in here with your bubble ass, scream at me, and walk away? Hmm?” My voice came out low and smoky. I leaned in slightly, my presence swallowing hers. “You're trying my patience, woman.”Aqua's dilated eyes immediately hardened when she felt my hands roam down to her waist. She shoved me away and replied. “Well, I don't care, Gunnar. There's no way I'm wearing that collar!”“So that's why you resorted to ato threats,” I growled, my anger rising to the surface. “You do realize that there's no way I'm going to leave you, right? • Capturing The Alpha King's Heart.    The Fall Of A Powerful Wolf.

AQUAThe first time I heard about hunter wolves was when I was in the Wind Ridge Pack. They were used to hunt a notorious thief who had broken into Julie's house one summer. The news spread across the pack in less than four hours, mostly because they didn't give us a choice to accept it or not. But if there was one thing I learned back then, it was that those people were ruthless. The kind of people capable of doing anything as long as they captured their prey. Some said they did it because they didn't have any other choice, considering the tight competition in the business. But others said they were psychos, people who enjoyed seeing the pain they inflicted on others. That's why I knew we were in deep shit now. The hunter wolf inhaled, breathing in the cool night air that was faint with our scents. It's the very reason why I had chosen to stay up in the trees, holding that the harsh wind current would mask our scents. But he still catches it nonetheless. “Their scents are still

AQUAOnce I heard the noise from the living room, I pushed Fawn into the kitchen and locked the door. The air was thick with tension, and our ragged breaths broke the eerie silence that enveloped the room. My heart raced as we waited, straining to hear the sounds from the other side of the door. But then, a sharp scream pierced through the air, followed by a series of female cries that sent a fresh wave of panic through me."Shut the fuck up!" Nathaniel barked. When the women's cries were finally reduced to frightened sobs, he muttered some words to the guards before turning to them. "I have no intention to hurt you, but if you don't tell me where Aqua and that little devil spawn are right now, then all of you are going to pay dearly for your silence."Ella remained unfazed by his threat. "But we are telling the truth! No one saw where Her Highness went after she gave us orders to search for her daughter."Nathaniel ignored her and continued to speak to the other ladies, but none of t

AQUAHogan froze midstep when he heard my words. The six-foot, muscular blonde man who had been cooking for Gunnar for over ten years gave me the most sinister look I have ever received. I couldn't help but retreat when I saw him take a menacing step towards me."You're not supposed to be here, Your Highness," he said, cracking his knuckles. "Does anyone know you're here?""I don't need to report to anyone about whereabouts because this is my house," I asserted, my voice sharp and clear. I noticed he had already retracted his claws so I did the same. "What were you doing in the kitchen storage room?"It was the only place we hadn't checked in the house, mostly because Hogan had always been sensitive about letting people in. He would spend the entire day talking about food contamination so I guess all of us were just subconsciously afraid of getting on his bad side. But now, it turned out that he was the traitor we had been looking for."Move aside, Hogan," I ordered. The air in the ro

AQUANow it was 8 pm.The angry mob and the elders were still outside the house, looking for a way to get in. They tried everything they could, but the house's defenses were top-notch, designed with the latest technology, so I knew we were going to be safe. For now."Has anyone heard from Bodhi? Anything?" I asked, my desperate eyes scanning the staff in the house. Due to the chaos happening outside, no one had gone home yet, so they were forced to stay with us.Ella, who had been quiet since she entered the house, finally spoke when she heard me. "I just received a message that he was deployed to fight the rogue wolves trying to evade our borders. He left with most of the sentinels, so there were no reinforcements when our guards were attacked," she explained. My head started pounding as I tried to think of a solution to solve the situation. I knew it was only a matter of time before these people came up with a plan to infiltrate the house that actually worked this time, and then we

AQUAMy heart dropped when I heard her words. It felt like I was torn between disbelief and the panic that had risen in my chest. But of course, it all made sense now. If that old woman were alive and healthy, she would have never let this angry mob assemble to harm her only great-granddaughter. “She's dead?” I repeated dumbly. The pack priestess was supposed to be my reserve plan to suppress these people, but her unexpected death was something that I also intended to take advantage of. “Why haven't we held a funeral yet? Why hasn't an announcement been made?”At that moment, someone from the crowd suddenly spoke. “Who the hell would mourn that old witch?! She deserves what she got!”A flash of red passed my eyes when I heard his words. I wasn't her biggest fan, but she was still Fawn's family. I couldn't imagine how devastated she would be when she found out she was gone. I closed my eyes to control my emotions before facing the crowd again."According to the laws of the pack, there

AQUAA week later. I was lying on the couch discussing bridal gowns with my maids when I heard a strange noise. The air felt different as we all turned to look toward the sound. I exchanged an alarmed glance with them before getting up from the couch and walking down the hallway. I figured it wasn’t anything serious. Maybe it was just Fawn taking out her frustrations on some poor toy. However, as I made my way down the hallway, I realized the noise wasn’t coming from the upper floor as I had initially thought. I continued toward the back door, following the source of the sounds. What I saw almost made my heart stop. A mob was gathered outside, throwing stones at our house.Afraid, I rushed upstairs to check on Fawn who I'd sworn to protect with my life. My heart pounded loudly in my ears with each step I took, praying that she hadn't left the house or wandered somewhere in the forest. Fawn was her father's life, and I knew he would have no future without her.I kicked open the door

  • Capturing The Alpha King's Heart.    Hannah's Fate Has Already Been Decided.

AQUAWhen I opened my eyes again, I found myself in my room. The curtains were already closed, and the lights above my head were dim. I leaned against the headboard, trying to gather the scattered fragments of my memory. My lessons...the orange juice...me falling unconscious. My heart hammered in my chest when I remembered that I was poisoned. Now it all made sense why my throat felt dry and itchy; also, it must be the reason why my body ached all over. Just when I was about to reach for my phone to call someone in, the door suddenly swung open with a loud thud. Ella stood at the door, holding a tray in her hand. “Your Highness!” She gasped, clearly surprised to see me awake. “I'm so glad that you have finally regained consciousness. You have no idea how worried we all were about you.”I watched her place the tray on the bedside drawer, revealing a bowl of soup. “Have the guards caught Hannah like I instructed?” I asked. Ella nodded. “Yes, they did. They managed to apprehend her

AQUAWhen I vowed to myself that Hannah was going to pay for what she did, I truly meant it. That was why she was currently repeating a section of the rules, explaining it for the fourth time. I could tell she was about to lose her temper, but that was exactly what I wanted.I needed an excuse to make her pay for her actions. "That's enough," I interrupted her before she could repeat it for the seventh time. My ears were already aching, and the person I was waiting for had yet to arrive. "Why don't you go and fetch me some juice?"Hannah’s eyes blazed with indignation. "But you have maids waiting on you! Why the hell are you sending me?" She protested, her voice sharp and rising."Because serving the Luna Queen is an honor," I replied coolly. Today felt especially fitting for this reminder, as she appeared ready to explode. When she stubbornly refused to m

His presence made me cautious in reacting since I knew he would never have appeared if the situation hadn't been dire. However, there was also a problem with Fawn's naughty behavior that I had to deal with. So, I decided to ask the third person in the room. "What did you do to my daughter, Mrs. Lambert?" I bent down to pick up a torn book near me before stepping inside the room. The maids behind me immediately spread out and started arranging the place while I approached the tutor lying on the floor. “I-I didn't do anything wrong, Your Highness,” she replied. Before she could utter another word, Odin released a warning growl that reverberated throughout the room, making both of us flinch. Many possibilities raced through my mind when I heard her words. My first instinct was to believe her because Fawn had already been displeased by
