Elena's POV

"If you are not vegan then you should try it. My wife makes best steaks with these natural herbs and butter," Eden said.

I smiled at him with an awkward look on my face.

"I like steak but I hate this particular flavor,"

I knew he was lying to show his mother that this food wouldn't heal his ruptured soul.

I didn't know if I was going too far with my next act, but I didn't really care.

"Try it, Jake. Please, I want you to tell me how it is because I tried to make it for the first time," I said.
