Chapter 119: Back... Home

The castle appeared in front of my eyes, the sight strange but a welcoming one. The sunlight was shining low on the horizon. Day and night were the same here as earth, I realised.

"It seems I have to invest in some new guards." Adrian suddenly snapped next to me, waking the sleeping guard up with a jump.

"MY KING!" The guard dropped to his knees with his hands folded. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. My King, it will never happen again." He apologised rushingly. He was shaking visibly and I felt sorry for the guy. But instead of answering, Adrian stepped away from him, in the direction of the castle. The guard raised his head slightly to peek at him and then caught me staring at him.

"The human!" He suddenly sneered at me, jumping up with his knife in his hand. A gasp left me but before I even stepped back, the guard was gone. I blinked my eyes but then noticed Adrian, his hand around the guard's neck and his hand around the knife, which was lodged in the guard's stomach, making blood
