Grateful for the maid's honesty, Lisa thanked her and couldn't help but feel relieved that someone in the house cared enough to share such crucial information with her.

She had turned and she had continued to clean with a firm resolve and determination when she suddenly turned around to meet the maid who was already walking away.

“Pardon me mam, but if I may ask…?” She asked the maid, leaving space for some suspense.

“Yes… go on.” Said the maid.

"Why did you tell me instead of supporting Hera?" Lisa inquired gently, curious about the maid's intentions.

The maid sighed, looking hesitant but resolute.

"Hera has always been unkind to me and many of the other maids. She enjoys being mean and making us feel small. On the other hand, you've treated us with respect and kindness. I couldn't stand by and let her hurt you like this when you've done nothing but good for all of us."
