Chapter 119: Into the deep abyss

Shea stood at the side, observing the entire scene in front of her with wide eyes, her eyebrows raised.

"Mind your own business, brother." Sam snapped at Adrian, who attempted to pull Elle towards him, who had stepped away from her husband towards me. I also stepped away from my man, and softly bumped into Elle. "What? She deserves to know. It's better to inform your partner straight away about these things. It's quite important." Adrian retorted, mimicking his brother.

"We need to go." Elle interrupted the two demons. We both turned to Shea, Elle with a tense body, and Shea actually stepped back with an uncertain look on her face. Yet, behind her innocent façade, I could detect a smirk, and I clenched my jaw hard.

"You're not coming." Adrian suddenly declared from behind us.

Elle wasn't one to get angry often—that was more my forte—but I could sense she was on the verge of exploding right then.

"Why?" Elle asked dangerously, turning around. "So you can go alone with your ex?"
