A daughter's cry

"Will you really let her leave?" The woman asked with anxiousness while the man in front of his balcony was simply taking his cigarette and spreading the smoke in the air as he blew it around.

"It's her decision," he replied coldly. She hated how nonchalant he was about it. He was not even bothered by it.

"They once hurt her. How sure are you that they cannot do the same now?" The woman asked. She was so worried about leaving the house because of her situation. Coming back to that place can only put her in danger again.

He shut his eyes calmly as he took a heavy breath. He was breaking into a million pieces. Making this decision was not as easy for him. He was so scared to take this risk, but he trusted her decision. He was playing with them, and this time he just bet his risky card without assurance that everything will go well.

"They won't hurt her again…for now. She's still a family to them—part of them," he replied sternly.
