Know your place

This is not the first time that Gabe told her that. The first time was when she picked him up in the same bar, drunk. It's almost like a deja vu. Why does he have to keep uttering words that she should not hear when he's drunk?

That's exactly what he said last night. Do you know what she did right after Gabe told her that? She left them all there and came back home by herself. Now, she's stuck in her room, thinking of everything. Does he know how much he bothers her with those words? But then, she hates herself when she feels like she was only waiting for Gabe to confess what he feels—when he's not drunk and in his right mind to say those words. Why does his words when he's drunk keep dismaying her?
