~Agathe~
"That bellend! What a stony-hearted imbecile! Such a nincompoop! I hated his guts so much! Argh!"
I should have done more than slapping and pouring cold water on his face!
How could he humiliate me like that? Does he own my body or something?
I was inside the lift. Weeping in the corner, hugging my knees. Like a wee lassie whose sanity had gone astray.
I am so terrified. I haven't got the faintest idea of how I can acquire the bloody cash for my mother's surgery anymore.
I was so sure that I would get that sponsorship no matter what. Yet the exact jiffy that bastard asked me to get undressed, like a whore he picked up on the streets, my stomach turned upside down.
Who cares if he was a tycoon and must have been rolling in money all his life? Who cares if he was handsome and totally my type?
"He should rot in hell for being the male chauvinist pig that he was!"
The lift dinged and opened, silently apprising me that I had arrived on the ground floor. Enfeebled, I almost stumbled on the floor if I hadn't managed to balance myself.
Right. I haven't eaten anything throughout the day and it's already a quarter to seven in the evening. How I can still walk is beyond me.
As soon as I stepped outside the lift, the bellend's bodyguard named Calixto together with the other two men in black suits were quietly standing by in front of the lift.
I wouldn't have spared them a glance but they were bloody staring back at me. I stood still, weighing the situation.
"I'm sorry, miss. But, you have to come with us."
Calixto told me, in a very firm voice. His face was void of any emotions, like his mother fucking boss.
"Huh?"
Until terrifying realizations dawned on me. Why! Why did I forget that the bellend owns and rules this city?
If he suddenly fancied wiping me off the map, he absolutely could. No one would question or chastise him for it.
In this city, he is the royal king. Much more dominant than the head or the monarchy of this country.
Cold sweat started to materialize on my forehead. The other two men in black suits strutted towards me and grasped my arms like I was a prisoner who had eloped.
"Wait. Hang on. There must be a misunderstanding here."
I couldn't feel my body anymore. Sheer terror struck me when I caught a glimpse of a gun tucked behind their slacks.
I was shaking like a leaf when the two bodyguards holding my arm began to walk, eventually dragging me with them.
"Wait, please. Don't do this. I haven't done anything wrong. Your boss was the one who tried to harass me!"
In spite of that, no one heeded my wailing. No one dared to consider my side of the story.
I struggled. Trying to free myself from their forceful grip. "Please. Let go of me, please."
Everyone in the waiting lobby and lounge watched how I was being yanked away. The staff nurses from before started tattling and whispering to each other's ears.
I perceived the hospital's main entrance, and a black car stopped midway. When I saw that three other men in black suits hopped outside that car, I knew right there and then, I'm doomed.
Nearing the car, I remembered my mother's face. The way she pleaded with me not to go anywhere that night.
I wept more, my heart bleeding so much from that agonizing pain. What if I won't be able to see her anymore after this night?
With that thought, I regained my last strength. I attempted to run away again by sinking my teeth in the arm of the man on my left and by kicking the balls of the man on my right.
Assholes!
When they dropped my arm, I took that sole chance! I planned to go back inside the hospital and beg for someone's help. Because obviously, the main entrance was blocked by those men.
"Where do you think you're going, love?"
Until I halted in my tracks when all of a sudden, the gorgeous amber eyed man stood in front of me. He was wearing a different shirt, perhaps he took his time to change.
My heart was racing very fast, my limbs went numb. I could hardly breathe, I almost thought I would faint.
I was so astounded that the two men dragging me a while ago caught me for the second time around. The sheer regrets that flooded my system were insufferable, too extreme to bear with my worn out mind.
I didn't fight back. I allowed them to quietly take me.
Moments later, I found myself plonked down in the backseat of the gorgeous amber eyed man's luxurious car. The bellend sitting beside me, his eyes straight ahead.
"Where are you taking me?"
I inquired in a small voice when the car moved. I had to ask, or I would go nuts.
"This is kidnapping."
I concluded he won't respond to me. He seemed so enraged based on how he clenched his jaw every now and then.
"Did you really think you could get away after what you have done to me?"
I scoffed. "Don't you think I should be the one saying that?"
"Feisty. I like that."
I shifted my gaze to the window.
"Don't ever think of jumping out from the car, Miss Capucine. That is not the kind of death I want to bestow on you."
He's. . he's going to kill me?
~~~
I didn't know I had fallen asleep until someone poured a bucket of cold ice water over my head. Shell-shocked, I screamed.
Bloody hell!
"Chilling, isn't it? Might help cleanse your trashy personality."
What the!
I fixed my weary gaze in front of me, catching a glimpse of a dark silhouette. Because I just came from a deep slumber, my mind was still in a haze.
Not to mention I was freezing to the core!
"Still asleep, love?"
That voice. I glanced around me. It was so dark I could barely see anything.
Until such time that I recollected what happened for the last few hours. I was in Stonewood City!
I struggled to move, yet I can't. I realized that I was tied with a rope or something, from my arms down to my waist.
I was on my knees, being held up by two different hands on opposite sides.
We're not inside the car anymore. That, I am sure of.
When I stared back at the dark silhouette in front of me, the blinding headlights from his car behind him were turned on.
That's when I recognized the bellend's face! His men in black suits were gathered around us.
"Looks like you're fully awake now. Aren't you curious where we are?"
I stared at the bellend with my eyes reflecting the paroxysm of rage I was feeling inside me. Still can't believe I was slightly attracted to him at first sight!
The bellend dropped to one knee to level his eyes with me. Afterwards, he clutched my long hair and I almost winced in pain.
I endured it while staring back at him. His eyes looked so menacing and unforgiving.
If I only knew he was a demon hiding behind a sheep's cloth. "Get your filthy hands off me."
He tilted his head to one side. "I see you still have the courage to talk back to me."
"I won't bow down to the likes of you, asshole."
My pride was the only thing left to me. I won't lose it no matter what.
"Really? Might as well look behind you."
He harshly shifted my head's position to stare at what was behind us. I gasped, perplexed at what I saw.
"That cliff will be the sole witness of your untimely demise. This place will be your grave."
My eyes widened. "You're going to kill me just because I slapped you?"
"Who said I'm going to kill you right away? We are going to play a game, love."
Damn it. I thought I could tickle his conscience and might spare me this one time.
So, he does this out of rage that I am pretty sure will soon pass? Rich people are truly one of a motherfucking kind.
Calixto, who was standing on his right, handed him a gun. Again, my whole body went numb.
If I can fool myself a while ago that everything will be alright, now I don't know if that is still the case anymore.
My hands started to tremble.
"Let's play Russian roulette. Shall we? Plot twist, you're the only player."
I gulped. Has he gone stark raving mad?
Without dilly-dallying, he loaded a bullet into one of the chambers of his revolver. Spinning the cylinder, he stared back at me with a fiendish grin.
Before I could process anything, he placed the gun's muzzle near my head and fired.
The amount of shock that banged my system was unsurpassable, beyond comparison. Now I fully understand he wouldn't bat an eyelash just to eradicate a nobody like me.
"Oops, I missed. What are the odds, huh? Shall we try this again?"
I remembered my mother's pleading face once more. There's no way in hell I would die like this.
The bellend directed his gun towards me for the second time as tears kept falling down my eyes.
Before he could pull the trigger, I painfully uttered. "Don't kill me. I will do anything. Anything. Just. . spare me."
~Gunther~"Sadly. I don't give second chances to people who wronged me, love." I couldn't care less if she was an important key for me to claim my inheritance. She slapped me, she is deserving to shuffle off this mortal coil. No woman had ever put me to shame like that. That, my bruised ego couldn't forgive. Cocking the hammer of my special revolver, the sound of the cylinder rotating is like music to my ears. I stared back at the woman kneeling in front of me. "Any last wishes?" She closed her tear-stricken eyes as if uttering a prayer to her God. Holding my horses, I waited for her. Until I got bored. "Nothing? Alright, then." Positioning my revolver near her head, I was about to pull the trigger, almost. But, she murmured something that had me blown away. "Can I get a kiss?" Flabbergasted, I asked. "What?" She opened her eyes and gazed directly at mine. "Kiss me, Mr. Silvestri. That is my last wish." What the fuck? What is she playing at? I lowered my gun and contemplate
~Agathe~Damn that voice. Shoulders slouching, I looked behind me and gasped softly. It was the bellend! A tall dog was wagging its tail beside him. "Right. This is Mishka. Mishka, meet my bride."Mishka wagged her tail more. As if she was thrilled to bump into me. "She likes you already? Strange." The bellend patted his dog's head. I groaned in frustration. "I am not going to be your bride." He stood up properly and stared back at my weary eyes. "Why not? I don't think you have a choice." His gaze shifted to my body, blatantly ogling at my exposed cleavage. "Hmm." "Sicko." I uttered, crossing my arms over my chest. His eyebrows arched. He was offended. Well, serve him right. "It's all greek to me why you act like that when I was certain you fell in love with me at first sight." Dang it. Here I thought he didn't notice that. Whatever. There was no point in denying that now. "I did. But, my attraction to you merely lasted for a second the moment I realized how obnoxious you are
~Agathe~"After we get married, you are not allowed to go back to Snowflake Village for the time being. Furthermore, you are not allowed to see your mother. You will be staying at my side. Rain or shine, day and night for the next three months." The nerve of this guy. How could he have the pure talent to annoy the hell out of me? He is so good at this. "If you're asking why? We have to make our setup much more believable to my parents and my grandmother's attorney. Any more questions?"My hands nearly dropped the pen he provided for me. I was right. From this moment on, I am his prisoner.It would be sealed once I sign this marriage contract."Nothing at all, your highness."My voice was hardened by sarcasm, and could not even conceal my resentment. Upon scribbling my signature above my name on the document, I tossed the paper and pen back on the table. It was his time to sign it. I watched him do it like a hawk, his hand gracefully moving up and down. When he was finished, he de
~Agathe~"We are gathered here on this night to witness the union of Mr. Gunther Percival Silvestri and Ms. Agathe Clementine Capucine in holy matrimony. A night of great celebration and blessing."Blessing, my ass. Bad luck? One hundred percent. "Take each other's hands and get ready to exchange vows and rings." Vows? The bellend grasped both my hands, tight and firm, while we were staring into each other. His dark amber eyes were shining, and his pinkish lips curved in a gorgeous smile. He was playing his part as my loving husband. Can't deny he has dazzling skills in that specific area. "Mr. Gunther Percival Silvestri." "Yes, father?" "Do you pledge to love this woman, to be loyal and truthful to her, and to comfort and keep her, to cherish and accept her, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both shall live?"I can't for the life of me understand that standing in front of a priest, declaring lifetime vows, was so nerve-wracking.I am not in
~Agathe~I can see my mother in front of me. She seemed healthy and lively. The signs of her illness had vanished from her eyes.She was dancing in a yellow sundress as she stood in the middle of a glittering field of vibrant roses. The sun shone brightly above us. Never before have I witnessed her in such joy.'Mama?' I attempted to approach her. But, each stride I take pushes me further away from her. What is going on? 'Mama!'My voice began to shake with fear. Especially when everything around us turned completely dark.All of a sudden, the field of roses began to disappear, and my mother was nowhere to be found. The once-beautiful scenario abruptly changed into a nightmare.'Mama!'It was strange that my voice kept echoing back to me. I kept turning around, only to find no one but me. 'Mama! It's me. Agathe! Where are you?' Until I opened my eyes and gasped, realizing it was all a dream. My eyes were filled with tears, a pounding headache is on its way. "Mama. ." I brushed
~Agathe~ It happened again. I have no idea where in the world that bellend's room is. I swear this house is so huge I got lost for the umpteenth time. I've been almost through all the rooms on the second floor and I am beyond worn out. Frustrated, I sat down on the carpeted floor, in the middle of the corridor to rest. A soft bark caught my attention out of the blue. When I turned around, I noticed a cute furry animal coming my way and wagging its tail cheerfully. It was the pretty gray dog of the bellend. I giggled with so much joy. "Mishka. You're here." I patted her head and she sat in between my legs, trying to lick my chin. "God. How can you be so cute, huh?" Didn't know before that I am fond of dogs. Without hesitating, I embraced Mishka's soft body and it was the best feeling ever. For a little while, the longing I had for my mother vanished into thin air. In a trice, an idea popped into my head. I fixed my gaze on Mishka's eyes and pleaded. "Mishka, can you tell me
~Agathe~ To sleep in the same room with him was all I wished for. For the mere reason that I don't want to be alone for the rest of the night. Heck, I don't mind sleeping on his couch as long as I won't be returning to my own room alone and scared to death. However, I could tell that his dark amber eyes desired something else. All of a sudden, it seemed very intense. Filled with sensuality I didn't know he could possess. Though, it was also me who pushed those thoughts away. No way in hell, I am being delusional.There is no way that this bellend would have a sexual desire for me. So with a quivering voice, I asked. "W-what do you mean?" In a flash, his smirk shifted into a deadly grin. One that is promising me I wouldn't like what I am about to hear."Feigning innocence, love? I see." "What?"Is he mocking me? The nerve of this guy. "I'm not pretending to be innocent. I'd rather say that I don't want to make assumptions." "Very well, then. Listen to me very carefully, love.
~Gunther~I sought the truth out from her ocean-blue eyes. And there, I perceived how badly she wanted me right now. With the same fervor of how much I was burning for her as well. That if I won't put it out, I would go berserk. I simply desire to taste her once. Just once. Maybe, she will be out of my mind after that. I certainly hope so. "You sure you won't regret that, love?" I inquired, wanting to be certain. Putting pressure on her."'Cause I don't want you accusing me of 'harassment' first thing in the morning." She closed her eyes, savoring the feeling of my thumb taunting her left tit. I kneaded it gently, applying a firm pinch that compelled her to purr like a cat. "Ohh, god. ." Did the same thing on her right tit and she thumped her head on the wall. Looking like she lost it all, grunting in pleasure inside my arms. "Please, I beg you." She whispered. "What is it, love? What do you want me to do?" I teased her. "Kiss me." I grinned, satisfied by her submission. "I
~Agathe~[Present Time]I could hear faint voices talking around me. I looked around the darkness that surrounded me but saw no one.I felt like I was floating, but my feet remained on the ground. I felt hopeless.I want to go back to my mother because she still needs me. My father just died, and I am the only one she has left.“Her finger moved, Doctor Wright!” I heard someone say something beside me, but when I looked to my side, I saw no one.“Hello? Who are you? Where exactly am I? Where is my mother?" I asked in a loud voice, without even opening my mouth.“She's regaining consciousness. Quickly, call Gunther.”“But, Doctor. He is downstairs, discussing something important with his family. What are we supposed to do?”“Check her pulse. Check everything.” Before I could respond, I felt something powerful catapult me through the air.“Arghhhhhhhhh!”Before I knew it, I opened my eyes again to see a bright light aimed directly at my eyes. “She is awake! The patient is awake, doctor!
~Agathe~[Flashback, fifteen years ago]It has been a week since the incident happened and my mother has never been the same. She tried so many times to end her life and I will always be the one to witness it all.I haven't slept a wink since last night, and my stomach is growling for food. The food in our fridge and pantry were already gone by the third day.I had been begging my mother for food, but she would always kick me out of her room and lock herself in there for the whole day.To ease my hunger, I would curl up and hug my knees on my bed while crying myself to sleep. This is the fourth day that I can't tolerate my hunger anymore, I am beyond starving.My legs wobbled when I got out of my bed. My vision was blurry, and my head felt as if a hammer was constantly pounding on it.I feel so sick and helpless but I refuse to take this nonsense any longer. If my mother is unable to provide for me, I will have to do it myself from now on.My father did not sacrifice his life for me o
~Agathe~[Flashback, fifteen years ago]What I saw next in front of me wasn't what I expected, as everything happened so suddenly.Three strong, consecutive punches landed directly on the tall boy's face, and I was too stunned to even react."Do you think you can fool me, dumbass? How many more beatings do you need to understand? I can see right through your idiotic mind!”The tall boy collapsed to the ground, but the old man continued to assault him, kicking his stomach and his back numerous times.My mouth dropped open as I watched the horrifying scene in front of me in sheer terror. It was like I could feel every painful hit and kick from the old man in my own body.But, I couldn't understand why the tall boy never cried or shouted for help. He only kept his eyes closed and silently endured the pain.I stood there quietly, rooted to the spot where I was standing, not knowing what to do. Once the old man was satisfied, he lifted the tall boy's body from the ground and forced him to
~Agathe~[Flashback, fifteen years ago]I tried to calm my racing heart by tapping my chest a few times and taking a deep breath. I almost got caught!But, why is my heart racing so much?Perhaps, my heart was racing from the pain of witnessing the wild boars being killed by my father and his comrades.Perhaps, it was beating fast out of nervousness because some strangers had appeared, and they seemed very intimidating.“A pleasant morning. I am Clermont Silvestri, current chief executive officer of Silvestri Group of Companies.” I heard someone say in a deep, scary voice.All of a sudden, I could hear curious whispers from my father's comrades. I frowned because I don't know what a chief executive officer is all about.“We are from Stonewood City.” Gasps from my father's comrades suddenly echoed through the air once again. Stonewood City?I am not quite sure where that is. I have only known our village my entire life."I have recently bought this entire village, including all its es
~Agathe~I could hear Gunther's screams ripping through the air. He sounded so desperate and nearly begging.It was so heartbreaking to hear him like that. I wanted to open my eyes and comfort him, but I couldn't.Then, out of nowhere, I felt powerful hands gently lift my body onto something. Afterwards, I was hoisted into the air and was transported somewhere.I could hear the sirens of the ambulance nearby. I could hear everyone shouting and barking commands.But, Gunther's desperate voice stood out to me the most.I knew that I was fighting for my dear life. But, somehow, everything felt surreal that I felt like I was merely dreaming.Then, from the absolute darkness that surrounded me, I heard a faint voice. "Agathe.”It sounded so familiar and soothing, I suddenly yearned to hear it again. I looked around the darkness that surrounded me, but I saw nothing.As I wandered around, tears began to form in my eyes. “Who is that?” I asked in a loud voice, without opening my mouth."Swee
~Agathe~Being in Stonewood City for almost a week has made me realize that I can also love this kind of life, with Gunther and Carlyle.And, when I finally accepted that Gunther had managed to sneak into my heart, I never anticipated the pain of repeatedly witnessing his mother's disdain towards me.Seeing her eyes full of disgust and hatred directed towards me made me feel hurt, beyond my understanding.Deep within my heart, I longed for her acceptance of me, perhaps echoing the desire of every daughter-in-law out there.I was about to turn around and walked away from there as quietly as possible but I was taken aback to see both Peter and Calixto standing behind me.As if it wasn't enough, both of them moved and stood on my left and right side. It was as if they were silently telling everyone that they are going to protect me no matter what.And, it didn't matter to them that it was their boss's mother they might have to confront. I was even astonished by how quickly Calixto had fo
~Agathe~It was lunchtime when I noticed something peculiar. I was having lunch with Carlyle as Gunther had left for the office earlier in the morning."Belv." I called Belvedere's name, who was standing beside the dining table.I had invited them to join me and Carlyle on the table, but as usual, they strongly declined. I had already given up on persuading them, as they are deeply committed to their job."Where is Yesenia? I don't recall seeing her all morning." I remarked, even noticing Carlyle furrowing her eyebrows at me."I checked her room, Mommy. Yennie is still fast asleep." Carlyle mentioned casually and then continued to devour her food.I noticed something on the corner of her lips and gently wiped it away with my finger. "Be careful, sweetheart."Afterward, I turned to Belvedere with a worried expression in my eyes. "Is she still sleeping, Belv? In all the days I've been here, I've never known Yesenia to sleep in. Is everything alright? Could she be unwell?”"I'll have a h
~Agathe~"I was wondering what took you so long, love.” Gunther's voice was cold and threatening, sending an instant shiver down my spine.“Carlyle and I were waiting for you in the entertainment room. She had already fallen asleep while waiting. While here you are, talking with some motherfucking bastard behind my back once again.”Gunther stressed the final words, his tone clearly laced with sarcasm. I noticed Thaddeus let out a deep sigh as if he was growing weary of his cousin's drama."You mentioned it yourself, dear cousin. We were just talking. When did having a conversation with someone become a criminal offense?”I turned to Thaddeus, feeling the urge to scold him. "Goodness gracious, don't provoke him. He might end up hitting you again." I whispered, recalling the incident that occurred at his boutique.However, Thaddeus smirked at me, showing no signs of being affected in the slightest. I clenched my teeth in pure annoyance towards him.I suddenly gasped so loud as I felt G
~Agathe~I just finished eating dinner with Gunther and Carlyle when Yesenia unexpectedly tugged me to the side, catching me off guard.“What’s the matter, Yen?” I asked her, a bit annoyed at the sudden pulling.However, as I caught sight of the urgency in her eyes, any trace of annoyance I had felt instantly dissipated in the air.Yesenia motioned for me to be quiet and glanced around discreetly. She patiently waited until Gunther and Carlyle ascended the stairs, heading towards the entertainment room.We all planned to watch a movie together that night.“I need to tell you something, young lady. This won't take long, or else the young master might notice and become suspicious.” She whispered.Afterward, when nobody was looking, Yesenia discreetly guided me into the maid's quarters.I squinted my eyes, a slight throbbing sensation pulsating in my head. It felt as though I had already entered those quarters before, but I can't remember when or how.Once we entered the quarters, Yeseni
