Nathan Giandra grinned as he approached James with a letter in his hand. He gave a code to James to come into his room. James had been waiting while leaning against the wall, then came in but with a slightly flat expression.
He was uneasy about his test results. His anxious thoughts kept haunting him all this time. He didn't dare to kiss Delilah's forehead for almost three days. He was worried that Delilah would catch something. Paranoid and anxious mixed into James's expression at this time.
"Please have a seat, James!" Nathan spoke, inviting James to sit in front of him. Nathan then turned on his laptop and typed a few things on his keyboard before turning to face James.
"How are you?" Nathan asked casually with a sweet smile.
"Uh… I'm fine. I just came from the 10th floor to visit Mr. Alexander, Bryan's father." Nathan nodded in understanding.
"Yeah, I know he was transferred here," Nathan answered with his mysterious smile.
"I've
James half-ran out of the elevator to Bryan's Penthouse and then pushed the bell button as soon as he arrived at the door. After waiting for a while, a maid peeked up behind the door."Excuse me, sir, who are you looking for?" asked the maid."I'm looking for Delilah Starley. She was here earlier," answered James in a friendly manner. The maid then nodded and opened the door wider for James. James thanked her, who gave him access."James?" said Nisa when she saw him as he walked. James smiled and skimmed around."Hi Nisa..." James spread his arms and hugged Nisa warmly. Nisa smiled to do the same way."How are you?" Nisa nodded, still smiling, letting go of her embrace."I'm fine.""Oh, I'm here to pick up Delilah. Where is she?" Nisa's brow suddenly frowned."Well, Delilah was leaving quite long ago." James's heart thumped louder as he heard it."Wha... when?""It was almost an hour ago. She said she wanted to wa
James went limp soon after discovering Delilah left along with Daniel. The shopkeeper claimed he saw Delilah go out of the shop with Daniel."Do you know which direction they could go?" James asked, unable to hide the worried on his face. His breath hitched twice as fast as before."I don't know, sir. Sorry. They're just leaving, and I did not pay much attention to it," the shopkeeper replied, and James nodded. Unable to think, James rolled his eyes to one of the monitors near the guard."Is your camera working?" the shopkeeper nodded."Do you have surveillance cameras outside?" the shopkeeper nodded again. James' smile grew wider. He called Bryan because he had a way to find Delilah. Nevertheless, James looked for the camera footage that started an hour ago when Delilah arrived at the shop.Bryan, Mars, and Grey rushed in as soon as they discovered that James had found traces of Delilah."Come here!" he asked them to get closer. Bryan was t
Daniel could no longer hold his rage when he acknowledged that Delilah was still preserving her love for James. She struggled to fight Daniel, who poured her with tempting kisses."Let me go, Daniel!" Delilah screamed at the top of her lungs. She had used all her strength but could not budge him at all. Daniel kept kissing and nibbling aggressively on the soft skin of Delilah's neck."Oh, Honey... you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen." Delilah was crying loudly. Only James was on her mind at the moment. Her heart kept calling him and hoping he would come soon."MR J!" Delilah shouted again."Delilah Darling, please, call my name. Say no more!" Daniel pleaded and continued to clutch Delilah, who was trying to lose. Her hands pushed Daniel's arms around her body while avoiding Daniel's kisses that moved from one side of her neck to the other.Tears were gushing down from her eyes to wet her cheeks. In a moment, she would lose everything.
James Harristian's world turned dark when he witnessed Delilah being assaulted by a man. When James opened the door, Delilah was in the same position as his previous prey when he had intercourse. Instantly he was mad and brutally beat Daniel. If it weren't for Shawn, Daniel would be dead. James must have killed him by putting a bullet straight into his head. James couldn't hold back the tears without sobbing as he hugged Delilah. While still half clutching, he untied the chains on each of her legs. While Shawn walked towards Daniel, he grabbed his arm and threw him at the Golden Dragon members to take him away."Get him to the police!" said Shawn coldly. The members pulled Daniel, who could barely stand up, yet suddenly came to attack James by running toward him."AAHHHKKK!"Shawn jolted quickly and then punched Daniel straight in his face due to the shock. Daniel fell hard on the floor and passed out. He was gushing blood with a broken nose.
James was getting ready in his walk-in closet while Delilah was still in the hospital. Therefore, he went home to prepare for tonight's mission. After wearing a black leather jacket and preparing a mask he would use to cover half of his face, James walked out of his room confidently. He went into his working chamber and turned on the television to seek news about Daniel Belvedere's arrest. James had to ensure he and Delilah didn't get swept up by the media. There are no recent pictures of Daniel's arrest. The police hid him from the crowd of journalists, and only one of the NYPD detectives had informed them about it.Not long after, Grey walked into James' penthouse with a similar appearance."Why are you here?" James glanced back at him and gave a sign."Come in, Grey. I was watching the news." Grey came closer, watched the same news as James, then nodded slowly."I'll ensure the media won't drag you or Miss Starley on the case." James nodd
Lenora sat on the edge of the empty bed with distant thoughts and gloomy eyes that kept staring at the glass door that separated the balcony of Grey's bedroom. After more than 6 months of dating Grey Hunter, Lenora still feels unhappy when she acknowledges Grey's true feelings. At first, she could overcome it. Although Lenora and Grey rarely talked about Delilah or James, she felt the pain whenever he found out about reality, like today.Finding another woman's picture in her lover's drawers was heartbreaking. Grey keeps a photograph of Delilah that he purposely printed. It was initially a candid photo, but Grey still keeps it though James doesn't need them anymore. And today, Lenora accidentally found it in a drawer while looking for a document. At the same time, Grey doesn't come to work because he has a mission with James. Now Lenora sat alone in the room, thinking about her decision to stay with the Gray Hunter. Is it the right decision? Lenora kept a
Lenora watched when Grey walked towards her. Her blurry eyes stared at him unblinkingly. But as he stood before her, Lenora batted her eyelids, and the tears fell. Lenora hid her face as if she wanted to be angry and explode, but she couldn't. Lenora is not the woman who rants at her boyfriend by mistake.Meanwhile, Grey swallowed bitter guilt because Lenora caught him kissing Delilah's hand at the entrance of the Penthouse James. And it looked like James was witnessing it too. But for him, it was nothing more than guilt for Lenora."I..." Lenora instantly turned around and walked away. Grey snorted out a breath heavier than he was holding back.He followed Lenora to walk towards the elevator to her apartment. He didn't speak, and Lenora didn't intend to say anything. They got into the same elevator, and quietness occurred. The tears fell without being to hold them back. And quickly, she wiped them. Grey turned around and saw the tears. He knew he was con
James tugged Delilah's hand and gently took her into the Penthouse. After accidentally encountering Lenora and Grey being caught kissing Delilah's fingers, James' feelings become melancholy. But he tried to smile due to make Delilah happy. After all, Delilah was leaving the hospital."Mr. J?" James turned when Delilah called his name while walking into the living room."Hmmm... what's wrong, Candy?" Delilah came closer and lightly touched James' jawline."What happened to you? How could you have these bruises? What blood is this?" Delilah asked when he touched James' neck. James slightly raised his eyebrows and then took Delilah's bloodstained fingers. He then grinned afterward."No, it's just... I was playing," James replied with a grin. Delilah frowned instead and tilted her head."What do you mean?" Delilah asked innocently. The blood didn't belong to James but splashed from someone he shot with his gun. However, James couldn't admit it, or Delilah would faint."Uhm… nothing happen
