With adrenaline coursing through my veins, I charged at him.

My alpha’s instinct was on full alert, and the burning desire to save the woman I loved spurred me on.

It was like wrestling with a ghost. Collins was fast, unnervingly so, but I could see the madness in his eyes—a man driven by something beyond human, by vengeance too.

Each blow I landed felt like hitting a rock, and he barely flinched, even with blood gushing down his face.

It was safe to conclude that Collins was no longer humane. He was a monster out for blood! But I was going to put an end to him so that he was no longer a threat to my loved ones.

I balled my hands into tight fists as anger surged through my body.

I wasn’t backing down! Not this time.

Valeria lay behind me, bruised and barely conscious. I had one job—to get her out of here alive.
