The door opened, revealing Cynthia with confusion and fear in her eyes.

My spine bristled with anger. How could she do that? Why on earth did she kidnap Valentina Wilson of all people?!

"What on earth were you thinking, Cynthia?!" I bellowed. "Why did you abduct our company's highest shareholder? Have you finally lost it?!"

Her eyes bulged in shock, and her lips trembled as she spittered.

"W-what? Why would I do that?"

"I don't have the time for your senseless games, Cynthia. Our company may go under because
