Mia’s pulse raced as the cold air of the hallway pressed against her skin. She struggled in the woman’s grasp, her nails scratching at the iron-like hand over her mouth. Panic and fury coursed through her veins, her body twisting and fighting.

“Stay still, little girl,” the woman hissed, her tone cold and biting. “You don’t know who you’re dealing with.”

Mia’s muffled cries grew louder, her survival instincts kicking in. She stomped hard on the woman’s foot, hoping to break free.

The woman growled in pain but didn’t loosen her hold. Instead, she yanked Mia closer, her voice now a venomous whisper. “If you want to live, stop fighting.”

Tears burned Mia’s eyes, but her anger flared hot and untamed. She refused to be a victim. Summoning every ounce of strength she had, she threw her head back, striking the woman square in the face.

A sharp curse escaped the woman as she released Mia momentarily. Mia stumbled forward, her heart pounding, but before she could scream, the woman gr

The woman stood in the dim light of the clearing, her expression sharp with frustration. She ran a hand through her hair, brushing away stray strands. “She’s not what I expected,” she repeated, her voice quieter this time. “Her powers are sealed, but if they unlock… it’ll be chaos. She’s a wolf, and there’s more to her than even she knows.”The man in the car leaned forward, his sharp features partially lit by the faint glow of his phone. “Sealed powers or not, we need to act now. If her wolf awakens, along with the rest, we’ll have more than a problem on our hands.”The woman crossed her arms, shifting her weight. “The boys won’t make this easy. Aiden especially he’s not just protective; he’s dangerous. Zander too. They know what she is, and they’re keeping her close.”The man smirked faintly, leaning back. “Aiden and Zander can’t protect her forever. Wolves may be strong, but they’re still vulnerable. Find their weaknesses. And the girl she has no control over her wolf, does she?”“

Matthew leaned against the railing of the balcony, his sharp eyes fixed on the dark woods surrounding the estate. The night air was cold, biting into his skin, but it didn’t bother him. His mind was far too busy to notice. Mia’s scent still lingered in the hallways, an intoxicating mix of sweetness and warmth that he couldn’t ignore. He hated how it affected him, how it pulled at the part of him he tried to bury. She didn’t belong here. She was too soft, too fragile for the chaos that surrounded their lives. Yet, she was here, and his wolf stirred every time she was close. His grip tightened on the railing until his knuckles turned white. The door to the balcony creaked open, and he didn’t have to look to know who it was. Her scent reached him before her soft steps did.“What do you want, Mia?” His voice was cold, clipped. He didn’t turn around.Mia hesitated, her hand resting on the doorframe. “I just wanted to talk to you,” she said quietly, her tone a mix of uncertainty and determi

Liam’s footsteps were quiet as he walked down the hallway, his wolf restless and pacing in his mind. Something was drawing him toward her, an invisible thread he couldn’t ignore. He told himself it was just curiosity. He’d heard whispers, felt the shift in the air since Mia had arrived. Matthew was on edge, more protective than usual, and Zander had hinted Mia is not a simple yet weak girl. But deep down, Liam knew this wasn’t just about her being an outsider in their world. It was about her. Mia.His heart thudded as he approached her room, his senses sharpening. The faint sound of her breathing reached his ears, steady and soft. His wolf growled low, a possessive sound that caught him off guard."She’s ours," his wolf whispered, the voice raw and commanding.Liam hesitated at the door, his hand hovering over the handle. He shouldn’t be here. He should turn around and leave her to rest. But something inside him wouldn’t let him.Slowly, he pushed the door open, careful not to make a

I’m not the type to get all soft and mushy over anyone. It’s not my thing. I’ve seen how that kind of weakness can make you vulnerable, and I’ve never allowed myself to be that helpless,But with Mia… There's something about her that gets under my skin, and I hate it. She’s not like anyone I’ve met before. She’s a force, and I can’t seem to ignore it, no matter how hard I try.Every time I see her, it’s like a punch to the gut. She’s different. She doesn’t shy away from me like most people do. She stands her ground, even when I’m pushing her buttons. And believe me, I do it on purpose. It’s easier to keep her at arm's length if I keep things light, keep her guessing. If I keep teasing her, making her angry, then maybe, just maybe, I won’t feel the pull. But who am I kidding? It’s already there. Every damn time she looks at me with those defiant eyes, every time she stands up for herself, my control slips a little more. My wolf grows restless, and I feel it in my chest, a pressure I can

  • Caged with Four Step Brothers    Gold Digger

The four brothers rode in silence, their car speeding through the dense forest that bordered the pack’s territory. None of them spoke, but the tension in the air was almost suffocating. Their father, Lord Victor Hawthorne, had once been a force to be reckoned with a strong, respected leader of the pack. But now? He was a shadow of his former self, caught up in his ridiculous obsession with Sarah, the gold-digging woman he’d married.Zander clenched his jaw, his fingers drumming impatiently against the armrest. He couldn’t understand what his father saw in Sarah. She was manipulative, self-centered, and utterly useless. The thought of her made his wolf stir uneasily, and he pushed the feeling down. “Can’t believe he left us to clean up his mess,” Zander muttered, his tone dripping with frustration.“Typical,” Liam replied, his voice cold. He was staring out the window, his sharp eyes scanning the trees as if searching for some distraction. “He’s too busy playing house with her to notic

The air was tense as the four brothers sat in their quarters after the meeting. Zander leaned against the wall, arms crossed, his sharp gaze scanning the room. Aiden paced back and forth, his usual smirk absent. Liam sat on the edge of the sofa, running his hands through his hair, while Matthew stood by the window, his expression blank but his fists clenched.“This is ridiculous,” Aiden finally snapped, his voice breaking the silence. “Father disappears on another ‘trip’ with that gold digger, and we’re left to clean up his mess.”Zander’s jaw tightened, his voice cold. “Focus on the rogues, not on him. Complaining won’t fix anything.”Aiden stopped pacing, turning to Zander with a glare. “Don’t act like you’re not thinking the same thing. He’s abandoned us, and you know it.”“We don’t have time for this,” Liam interjected, his tone calmer but firm. “The pack needs us. The rogues are becoming a real threat, and we can’t let personal issues get in the way.”Matthew finally spoke, his v

The brothers sat in the study, tension thick in the air. Zander leaned over the large oak desk, his hands pressed flat against its surface as his piercing gaze shifted between his brothers. Liam stood by the fireplace, staring into the flames as if searching for answers, while Matthew sat in a leather chair, his jaw clenched, one hand rubbing his temple. Aiden, restless as always, paced the room, his sharp movements betraying his agitation.“We can’t just sit here and wait for them to strike again,” Aiden said, breaking the silence. “We need to take the fight to them.”Zander shook his head, his voice steady but firm. “We don’t know enough about their plans yet. Attacking blindly will only make us look desperate.”“And what about Mia?” Liam asked, turning from the fire to face his brothers. “The rogue mentioned her. If they know what she is what she could become she’s in danger.”Matthew’s gaze darkened. “She doesn’t even know the full truth about herself. If we tell her now, it could

The storm had rolled in like a sudden gust of wind, heavy clouds covering the moon and releasing a downpour onto the world below. Mia stood at the window, looking out at the rain, feeling a sudden urge to run outside and enjoy the rain. The tension inside the house had been building for days, and the heavy air suffocated her. She needed a moment to herself, away from the heavy eyes of the brothers who seemed to be constantly watching her.Without thinking, Mia slipped into her thin nightgown, the cool fabric clinging to her skin. She stepped quietly out of her room and into the hallway, making sure no one was awake. The rain welcomed her as soon as she stepped outside, the cool droplets hitting her skin like a sweet relief. She laughed softly to herself, twirling around in the yard, letting the storm wash away her thoughts. Her movements were carefree, her body spinning with the rhythm of the rain, the wetness of her gown clinging to her curves with every step. David stood in the middle of Emma’s living room, his hands balled into fists at his sides. The tension in the air was thick, almost suffocating. Across from him, Mia’s four step brothers Aiden, Liam, Zander, and Matthew stood in a line, their imposing figures casting long shadows against the dimly lit walls."So, you’re the guy," Aiden said, his voice calm but laced with an edge that hinted at his annoyance. His piercing gaze drilled into David, who refused to look away.David squared his shoulders, refusing to be intimidated. "Yes, I’m the guy. The one who cares about Mia enough to stand here and talk to you, even though you’ve clearly decided you don’t like me."Zander let out a low chuckle, stepping forward with a smirk. "You think you care about her? You barely know her. We’ve been protecting her . Where were you then?"David’s jaw tightened, but he held his ground. "I’ve known her long enough to see the kind of person she is kind, selfless, and strong. And I care about her future

David sat on the wooden bench, his hands clasped tightly as he stared at the empty pathway in front of him. The soft rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze filled the air, but his heart was pounding too loudly to let him focus on the serene surroundings. She was coming. Mia. The girl who had been his quiet muse for years, the one who had unknowingly stolen his heart the moment he laid eyes on her back in university. The confession he had made to her earlier had been a mix of courage and desperation. Seeing her after so long, he couldn’t hold it back anymore. And now, she had agreed to meet him here, alone. He told himself it meant something that she cared enough to hear him out. When he finally spotted her approaching, David’s breath caught in his throat. Mia always had this effortless glow about her. She wore a simple dress, her hair flowing loosely, and yet she looked like she belonged to another world. But there was something in her cautious steps, the way she glanced around as th

The evening breeze carried a gentle chill, rustling the leaves in Emma’s backyard. Mia and Emma stood near the wooden fence, chatting softly. Emma was trying her best to steer Mia’s thoughts away from the tension of earlier events. She had just managed to get Mia to smile when the sound of hurried footsteps caught their attention.Emma’s eyes widened in surprise as a familiar figure emerged from the shadows. “Oh no,” she whispered under her breath.Mia turned toward the approaching figure and blinked in surprise. “David?”David Miller, one of Mia’s classmates from her previous university, stood a few steps away, looking slightly nervous but determined. His sandy brown hair was neatly combed, and he clutched a bouquet of red roses in his hand.“I-I hope I’m not interrupting,” David said, his voice shaking slightly. He looked between Mia and Emma, his gaze lingering on Mia with an expression of admiration.Emma stepped back instinctively, her heart racing. She glanced nervously toward t

Mia stood in the middle of the living room, her heart pounding. Aiden, Liam, Zander, and Matthew surrounded her, their expressions a mixture of concern and frustration. She had expected them to be angry, but the intensity of their emotions left her speechless. The air between them felt thick, every second stretching painfully.“Mia,” Aiden finally spoke, his voice firm but calm, “why did you leave without telling us?”“I needed space,” Mia replied, trying to steady her voice. “I needed time to think.”“Think about what?” Zander demanded, stepping closer. His tone was sharper, more direct, and his piercing gaze made her feel exposed.Liam placed a hand on Zander’s shoulder, as if to calm him. “Mia, we’re not trying to control you. We just want to understand why you felt the need to run away.”Mia looked down, unable to meet their eyes. How could she explain the storm of emotions inside her? She couldn’t tell them about the way her heart raced whenever they were near, or how their touch

Mia sat on the edge of Emma’s couch, her knees pulled close to her chest as she stared out the window. The warmth of Emma’s home did little to calm the storm inside her. She had run away to clear her thoughts, but her mind was just as tangled as before. Her stepbrothers’ faces, their touches, their words they haunted her, leaving her confused and overwhelmed.Emma walked into the living room holding two mugs of tea. She placed one in front of Mia and sat down beside her. “You’ve been quiet since you got here. Are you going to tell me what’s going on?”Mia sighed, wrapping her hands around the warm mug. “It’s... complicated.”Emma gave her a pointed look. “Complicated is when you can’t decide what to wear for a date. Running away from home without telling anyone? That’s not complicated that’s serious.”“I needed space,” Mia muttered. “That’s all.”Emma frowned. “Space from what? Your new fancy life? Those gorgeous stepbrothers of yours?” She paused, then her eyes widened. “Wait. Did th

The villa felt eerily quiet after last night’s confusion emotions. Mia sat on her bed, staring at the sunlight filtering through the curtains. Her heart was still racing from the overwhelming feelings she had experienced with her stepbrothers. Each one of them had stirred something inside her, something she wasn’t ready to face. Her mother’s happiness depended on her keeping things normal. I can’t ruin this for her, Mia thought, biting her bottom lip. She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. She needed space, a way to clear her mind and distance herself from the brothers. The sound of muffled voices outside her room caught her attention. Peeking out, she saw Victor talking to Aiden, Liam, and Zander. “The rival packs are moving faster than we thought,” Victor said, his tone serious. “We need to handle this now.”“We can’t leave her alone,” Aiden protested, glancing toward her closed door.“She’ll be fine,” Victor said firmly. “We’ll be back before she even notices.”Mia’s hear

Mia's POVAs I stood in front of the mirror, my hands trembling slightly, I stared at the white satin dress Aiden had given me. It was stunning, simple yet elegant, with a flowy skirt that swayed as I moved. My cheeks warmed as I thought about the effort they’d all gone to tonight. Four brothers, my stepbrothers, are preparing something special for me. It was both flattering and utterly confusing.I bit my bottom lip, trying to push down the swirling emotions in my chest. My mom had finally found happiness after so many years of struggle. She deserved this new life with Victor, and I couldn’t let my confusing feelings for his sons ruin everything. I took a deep breath, smoothing the dress nervously, before stepping out into the backyard. The scene took my breath away. Fairy lights were strung across the trees, casting a warm glow over the garden. A table was set in the center, surrounded by candles, with soft music playing in the background. It felt like a dream. And there they were,

I could’ve gotten something myself.”Aiden set the tray on the bedside table and gave her a pointed look. “Not after the night you were attacked. You need to eat and rest.”She sighed but didn’t argue. Her stomach growled softly, betraying her. Aiden smirked. “See? Even your body agrees with me.”He picked up a piece of bread and held it out to her. “Here. Start with this.”Mia hesitated for a moment, then took it from him. As she ate, Aiden settled into the chair by her bed, watching her closely. “You scared us tonight, you know,” he said softly. She looked up, her cheeks flushing slightly. “I didn’t mean to. Mia sat in her room the next morning, her thoughts restless as sunlight poured through the curtains. The events of the previous night replayed in her mind, each detail more unsettling than the last. The rogue’s cryptic words, the brothers’ secret glares with each other , and the tension that had thickened the air left her with more questions than answers. She needed to know the truth, and waiting for it to be handed to her was no longer an option. Her resolve hardened as she threw on a light sweater and jeans. Mia wasn’t the type to sit back and wait. If the brothers wouldn’t tell her what was going on, she would find out for herself. Quietly, she made her way downstairs, her footsteps barely making a sound on the wooden floors. The packhouse was unusually quiet, the faint hum of activity coming only from the kitchen.
