I paced about in my office, waiting for my brother's arrival, the news I heard that morning was enough to ruin my mood completely.

The door opened and Jamal walked in, he had a smile on his face which only fueled my anger.

"What is this?" I asked not sparing him a second.

"Look I know you are furious, but if you can spare me a minute, I will give you the details." He took a seat on the leather chair, spinning around like a child. Of course, he is a child, why else will he buy me a fucking Luna.

"Start talking." I walked back to my chair and sat down, waiting for a reasonable excuse for his silly action.

"The council and elders suggested you get a chosen mate before they would give their approval. Edward you know we need those lands to extend our territories, we have been the largest, strongest, and most feared pack for generations, and to keep that reputation and glory, I thought of extending the pack, as you Beta, and brother I think I have the right to care for this pack as much as you do."

"At the expense of what ?" I asked, banging the table.

"I am sorry, okay, but the deed has already been done and besides you had no plans of picking a mate, so I got one for you. Edward, you have to let go of the past and focus on the future, this lady is for the future of the pack and nothing else, I advise you not to make a fuse out of it." "Who is she?" My hands subconsciously drummed on my desk.

"Caliana Knight, she's an orphan and almost 18," Jamal said and paused. I was expecting more than what he said but when the silence drew longer I figured out, that was it.

"Wait, that's it?" I asked my brows furrowed.

"Urm! Is there supposed to be more?" A glare from me shut him up immediately.

"You know nothing about this lady and you bought her, are you fucking with me right now, or it's some dumb prank of your's," I growled abruptly getting up from my chair.

Jamal got up as well, backing away from my desk, he could feel my anger and he knew better than anyone what I could do when angry.

"Edward trafficking is illegal, but I was desperate, I needed to find you a mate as soon as possible so I soughted help from an old friend and he told me about this woman, I apologize for the inconvenience but I did it for you, I promise to get all the information you need when she gets here."

I ignored him and stormed out of my office, he successfully ruined my mood even more and I couldn't tolerate his annoying face any longer.

I returned to the pack house and took the elevator to my room, I got there and met Candace approaching from the stairs.

"Alpha Edward!" She yelled and hurriedly came up to me, bowing as a gesture of respect.

I groaned inwardly." What is it, Candace?"

"Sorry you seem to be in a rush, I could just come back." She made to leave but I stopped her.

Despite my predicament, I couldn't ignore the beauty that shone before my eyes, the magnificent buildings, overly large forest, and a lot of other large buildings came into view. I had heard about this pack's magnificence, but now I saw it with my own eyes, and it was extremely beautiful, nothing like I imagined.

I glanced at Levy and she was also Mesmerized, who wouldn't be, our mouths dropped open at the sight of a large Golden statue of a wolf, who must be the founder of the pack.

"Did you see that Ana?" Levy stared back at the statue as the car drove past it.

"That was so beautiful," I replied, staring at the statue as it disappeared out of sight.

A couple of minutes later, we arrived at a palace-like structure, the Golden Stone Pack House was written boldly on the walls.

There was a large gate up front, and three security guards stood there, they stopped the car asking for a pass card, and the man driving the car took it out and showed it to them, with a nod the gate opened up for us to enter.

The city was beautiful, but the pack house, beautiful was an understatement, it even had a waterfall just right in the middle, that was also made of Gold.

Five large palace-like buildings stood tall and strong, but the one in between looked larger.

I was so engrossed that I didn't notice the car had stopped, Levy had to nudge me to get me out of my admiration.

I got out after her. The men from earlier approached us. "It's time for your friend to leave." The man said indifferently.

My heart skipped a beat and my fear which I thought was gone, returned.

"B–But she just got here, please don't take her away from me." I pleaded with the men but their expression remained stoic.

"We have done the best we could, nothing further can be done, so please let us do our jobs."

I tried to protest but Levy stopped me, she shook her head and pulled me into a heartwarming hug whispering into my ears."It's all going to be okay, I promise to come back as soon as I get the chance."

Tears streamed down my face, scared to let her go, I sobbed on her shoulder, Levy disengaged and wiped my tears, she was crying too.

"Now's not the time to cry Ana, be the bold and brave girl you have always been, I will be back I promise, till then just remember that I will always be here for you. I will call you when I get home, I love you bestie." Levy's words soothed me and gave me the courage to let her go.

"I love you more," I whispered, releasing my grip on her.

Backing away, Levy waved at me and so did I. She kept waving until she got into the car, still, she waved through the window and I kept waving as well.

I waved until the car was out of sight, my heart grew heavy as the realization of my being alone hit me hard.

"Welcome ma'am." I heard a voice behind me, and I turned to see a young woman and a little girl standing close to her.

"Hi." I awkwardly said ,wondering why she called me ma'am.

"Welcome to Golden Stone Pack House, my name is Lena and I will be guiding you to the Alpha's room." The woman said and I cringed.

Alpha's room?

"I don't understand, can you elaborate please." I wiped my sweaty hands on my dress.

"Yes ma'am, Beta Jamal has assigned me to take you to Alpha Edward's room, it is the rightful place of his Luna," Lena said and I heard a loud bang in my head.

She took me into the palace and the magnificence of this place almost made me forget what was transpiring.

The palace had three different elevators and four stairs. The stairs were so long, I fear my legs would give out if we took them.

Lena led me to the elevator and we all got in, she pushed the 16th button, and a few minutes later the elevator dinged open and we walked out, the large floor only had two doors, and it looked bigger than my entire duplex.

Pointing to the first door, "That's the Alpha's room, I will send you an assistant soon. She will help you around the pack house." Lena said and walked away before I could say another word.

I watched her leave with the little girl before heading to the supposed door.

The closer I got to the door, the stronger it became. It occupied my mind and left me in dream world. Lena said the first door. I reached out to the doorknob, turned it, and pushed the door open.
