Emily’s POV: I kept looking at him as he went into a long pause after which he looked away for a second and then turned to me add, “No, no you are mistaken… You told me about what Melissa said on the phone” “No, I didn’t…” I argued back. “Emily, you did… You were so anxious at that time that you don’t even remember that moment. You were scared…” He told me and I looked at him in confusion because no matter how anxious or worried I was, I knew that I didn’t tell him that. I gulped and looked down, nodding. “Okay, I guess, you are right…” I said to him and he nodded. “I think, I should go now…” I said to him and stood up from the couch. “You don’t need to go, you can stay here…” He said and stood up. “No, Aiden… I just wanted to see you. I wanted to talk to you about all this powers and stuff…” I said to him. “So are you feeling fine now?” He asked me. “Yeah… I aam – I’m good… I think I am feeling better” I said and smiled at him. “I just have to figure out about how am I goi
Emily’s POV: I opened my eyes to my friends after so many days and it was beautiful to see them. They looked happy too. They chirped on my window and then back on the tree trunk. I smiled and took a deep breath before getting up on the bed when suddenly my phone began to ring and I glanced at it to see it was dad calling. “Hey, dad…” I said and rested my head behind. “Hey, my dear, how was your trip? I didn’t call you last night because I thought you might be asleep” He said. “The trip was really good dad. Everything was fine” I said. “I am so happy that you got to go there. I never took you to such adventurous places” Dad said regretfully. “Dad… It’s not like that. You have given me enough…” I said and smiled. “Honey, I miss you so much. You are fine, right? You don’t have any problem there?” Dad asked me anxiously. “I am fine, dad. Don’t worry. People here are good. They love me a lot” I said to him while thinking about Aiden. “That’s good my dear… I hope you always stay h
Emily’s POV: I kept looking at the message nervously thinking what I would do to excuse myself when Melissa started, “Em are you okay?” “Yeah – yeah why?” I asked her. “I asked you something…” She said and I looked at her in a clueless manner. “What, did you, ask?” I asked her hesitantly. “I was asking you about tonight… You don’t know about tonight, right?” She asked me. “No, what’s tonight?” I asked her and she looked at me in confusion for a while, making me more nervous. “Today’s the New Year’s night, Em… There’s a party in the school backyard” Melissa told me. “Oh yeah… I completely forgot…” I said and placed my hand on my head while thinking about it. “Yeah you did…” Melissa said as we reached the school and I wondered if I should reply to Aiden or not. “Emily, Melissa…” Aria shouted from behind as we entered the school and we turned to look at her walking towards us excitedly. “Hey…” I said. “You guys got late today…” Aria complained. “Yeah just got caught up in s
Emily’s POV: Before Aiden’s anger come out, I immediately started out loud, “No…” “What?” Eric got appalled. “Um, I mean, I – I need to think about it Eric… Can you give me some time…?” I asked him politely. “Ah um, okay…” He said. “Thanks…” I said to him when Aiden walked past us, pushing Eric slightly with his elbow while I watched him anxiously. He was angry and jealous. Dylan and the others followed him behind. “What’s with him?” Eric asked me, referring to Aiden. “Um, I don’t know… Leave him” I said and then added, “I hope you didn’t mind what I said?” “No, no, not at all Emily… I think you have this right to think about it” He said and I smiled back at him. “I should get back to work… Oliver will get angry…” I said to him and chuckled. “Yeah sure, we all should…” He said and chuckled back before walking away from there while I took a sigh in relief. “Oh, my god…” Melissa started and then chuckled before walking to me. “What just happened? Eric asked you out!” She add
Aiden’s POV: I kept thinking about what Emily was trying to find out. I was sure she wasn’t in search of this book because of her assignment and instead it was something else she was after, eagerly. I wondered if she has any suspicions on me and therefore she is trying to search about wolves. I wanted to tell her everything before beginning anything with her but the circumstances were such that I couldn’t control myself and kissed her at that moment. I didn’t think about my reality and the fact that I should tell her everything first. I knew I made a mistake and I shouldn’t have begun this relationship on the basis of lies and mystery. And now she was eager to find out everything and I decided to make it easy for her. I decided to tell her everything myself and give her a chance to accept me how I am. As I took out my phone to call her, Dylan’s voice came from behind, “Are we really doing all this stuff?” Turning around, I looked at him and then added, “What stuff?” “This high sc
Emily’s POV: I looked at him in shock while Melissa began to chuckled and started to Dan, “Wait, wait… She doesn’t really want to know about it. She wants to write some things down for the assignment” “Um, Mel, it’s okay…” I said to her. “No, Em, he is funny…” Melissa said and chuckled again. “I am not funny…” Dan got resentfully. “I know…” I said to him and then turned to Melissa to add, “Mel, please… Let me talk to him” I turned to Dan and then added, “Can I please get that book?” “Yeah, you need to come downstairs in the basement…” Dan replied. “Why?” Aria asked him immediately. “Because that book is downstairs. We keep such books there…” He replied to her. “Such books?” I asked him. “Yeah, historical and very old books” He said and I nodded. “Okay, I’ll come with you…” I said to him. “Yeah, we’ll come too” Melissa said and Dan immediately turned around. “No, no… Only this girl, Emily is coming with me downstairs” Dan said to them. “Why?” Melissa asked out loud. “K
Emily’s POV: “Do you know someone who possesses these qualities?” Dan asked me while I couldn’t blink or breathe anymore. “Emily…?” He said and I could listen to him but wasn’t able to respond to him and felt like I was freezing. “Emily…” Dan got louder and tapped my shoulder while I quivered and looked at him breathing heavily. “Are you okay? You seemed in shock” He said and I kept looking at him in fear. “No, I – I am okay… I just…” I started but couldn’t form any words. “Emily…” Melissa’s voice came from the side and I looked up to see them climbing down the stairs. “What took you so long? What is happening?” Melissa asked further. “She just froze” Dan said to them and I shook my head and stood up from the chair. “Em, are you okay?” Melissa asked me and they began to walk towards me. “I – I am fine, Mel… We should go now” I said to her and began to walk towards the stairs. “Emily, don’t you need the book?” Aria asked from behind and I looked back nervously. “Yeah, you c
Emily’s POV: I kept looking at them while struggling to breathe. I could feel my heart racing faster as Aiden began to walk towards me. As I began to breathe heavily and gulped, Melissa observed me and started, “Em, are you okay?” “Yeah, I – I am just feeling a little short of breath…” I said to her. “Why? Let’s go inside and get you something” Melissa got anxious. “What happened?” Aiden’s voice came from the front as he walked towards me. “You’re my competition partner so… I was just being concerned” He said to me, playing the pretend game in front of everyone. “Yeah ah, no… I am fine… Just a little shortness of breath” I said. “I should go inside and drink some water” I added. “Yeah, let’s go…” Melissa said and she took me inside while Aiden kept looking at me. “Here, have some water” Melissa said to me as she handed over a glass of water to me at the bar. “Thanks” I said and took some sips. “What happened to you?” She asked me anxiously. “I – I don’t know… I guess it wa
Aiden’s POV: I kept looking at the Maester and lowered my head for a moment before looking back at him. “I understand that, Maester. But I’d like to respectfully tell you something,” I said and took a step forward, looking into his eyes. “I won’t let anyone hurt her even if it means going against my pack and getting killed. And about me… You can kill me. I don’t mind but I want you to make sure that she would not be bothered again ever in her life.” I added.“What are you saying, Aiden?” Dylan whispered to me bitterly from behind, while I stood confidently in front of the Maester.“We cannot kill you, Aiden,” The Maester. “Now that you’re the alpha, it’s not possible to kill you,” he added and took another step forward. “But that girl…”“That girl should not be harmed. It’d turn me against my community, Maester,” I said sharply and he kept looking at me for a few seconds before looking away.“I heard about the fight. I know how immensely you love that human. But make sure that she st
Dylan’s POV: As Aiden and Austin moved towards each other, I turned to look at Emily and immediately carried her up in my arms to take her to a side. Suddenly, I saw Austin taking a leap towards Emily but Aiden attacked him from behind, digging his nails into Austin’s flesh and he screeched. Austin jumped out of Aiden’s grip and turned around to face him. They both glared into each other’s eyes and then growled before pacing forward and jumped up in the air, grabbing each other. Aiden once again dug his nails into Austin’s back and pulled him down to the ground with a thud after which he bit Austin on his shoulder and he wailed. I could see Aiden’s frustration in his eyes, the way he was biting and scratching Austin. Their fight continued for almost twenty minutes and they both seemed equally strong for each other. Finally, as Austin was injured and stepped down on his knees for a while, Aiden jumped up from behind and grabbed Austin, turning him around and pinning him to the ground.
Aiden’s POV: I kept walking towards Austin’s house while my pack paced ahead of me as I had planned. Suddenly, we heard Emily scream and I halted in my track.“It’s her, right?” Dylan asked me and I clenched my jaws, my eyes welling up.“He’s doing the biggest mistake of his life,” I added bitterly. “He’s going to die horribly,” I added.“Aiden, you need to calm down. She’ll be alright, don’t worry,” Mason said and I took a breath, before proceeding to walk forward. Finally we reached the house and I observed the surroundings closely to check how many wolves were there. I nodded at Dylan who signaled some of our men to go ahead from the left side while some went towards the right with dad leading them. I stood there in the middle, planning my way to kill Austin.Soon after we heard some howls and I realized that everyone there had turned. I was ready to turn too and proceed forward. However, my heart was racing with anxiety as I feared to see Emily. I didn’t want to see her in pain.
Aiden’s POV: He kept looking at me for a few seconds before taking a breath and lowering his head down.“Look, Aiden,” he started, rubbing his forehead with his fingertip. “I know you love her and if anything will happen to her then you’d be devastated. I don’t hate your relationship with her more than I care about you,” he added. “So I am going to come with you. They will help us,” he said confidently.“Us? Are you going to fight Austin with us?” Dylan asked him.“Of course. I cannot let Aiden be alone in this war,” he replied and placed his hand on my shoulder. I couldn’t believe him and kept looking at him wondering if he was the same person who hated my relationship with Emily so much that he wanted to kill her. Now he himself was ready to help me save her life.“Well, thanks. Shall we go now?” I asked and he nodded before we walked away from there.Dylan called everyone from our pack at our land’s clearing and they were quick enough to reach there within half an hour as their Al
Aiden’s POV: My blood was boiling thinking about how Austin managed to take Emily away from me. I promised her that I’d protect her at any cost and I failed. It made me feel disappointed in myself as I had her bracelet clenched in my hand.“Austin won. He took her away,” Lucas said in disappointment. “How the hell are we going to find her?” he added in frustration.“I know how,” I said and reached out for my phone in my pocket while they continued to look at me in confusion.“What are you doing?” Dylan asked me.“Are you calling Austin?” Mason asked as I began to call someone.“Hello,” I said as the person answered the phone. “Phil, did you do it?”“Yes, sir. I have got it,” Phil replied.“Great, where?” I asked.“Sir, I am sending you.” He replied.“Okay,” I said and hung up the call while a small smirk graced my face.“Who did you call?” Dylan asked me and I turned to Lucas.“Austin can never win against me, Luc. No one can,” I told him and he got more confused.“What are you sayin
Melissa’s POV: While dancing slowly with Dylan, I couldn’t help but glance around to see if Emily and Aiden could be seen.“Their meeting is going to last for a long time, I guess,” Dylan said and I blinked my eyes wide, looking at him.“How did you know that I was…?” I started.“I know, worrying about Emily,” he added and I lowered my eyes. “It’s okay. I don’t mind,” he said, smiling.“I am just worrying about how her meeting with Mr. Bill is going. This internship is very important for her. I hope she gets it. But why is this Bill guy taking so much time with each student?” I asked in frustration.“Oh, I am thinking the same,” Aria’s voice reached me as she moved towards me, while dancing slowly with Mason.“Do you think we should go and check on them?” I asked her, moving my hands away from Dylan.“Yes, we can,” Aria agreed.“No you guys cannot. Mr. Martin clearly told us that only those ten students should be around the staircase. He didn’t want any extra crowd there,” Mason poin
Emily’s POV: I was happy and excited to attend the party where I was going to meet Mr. Bill. I felt proud to be on Mr. Martin’s list and realized how my hard work finally paid off after so many years. With a smile on my face, I looked at myself in the mirror as I got dressed in an olive green knee-length A-line dress. The neckline was heart-shaped, and I left my hair loose on my shoulders."Be your best today, Emily," I told myself, taking a deep breath. Suddenly, the door swung open, and Aiden walked in, wearing a black suit with a black shirt and shiny black oxford shoes.“You look…” I stopped there as I adored him from up to down.“Hot?” he asked, walking inside. “Sexy? Handsome?” he asked further and reached my dressing table."Yes, everything you just said," I replied with a smile. "By the way, you've stopped knocking before entering the room since our first night together," I complained."Yep, because now I'm allowed to see you naked. So you can be in any condition, and I can w
Emily’s POV: I couldn't calm my breathing. My body was frozen in place, except for my eyes, which blinked rapidly. Nervousness, anxiety, and excitement washed over me. I recalled Aria's words and realized how wonderful it was to be with him. To feel his hands all over my body. To feel the warmth of his body against mine. To smell his pleasant scent so close. It had been incredible from the beginning when he kissed me to this moment, where I was lying in front of him, my legs spread apart and my chest heaving in anticipation as he held his erection, preparing to enter me.As his erection brushed against my vagina, I flinched and gasped, my heart racing."Relax. Just don't tighten up. Keep yourself loose," he suggested. I gulped and nodded, trusting him completely. With my heart skipping beats, I looked into his eyes as he slid his fingers between mine and moved forward, slowly sliding himself into me."Aah!" I let out a loud cry, moving my head up and grabbing his shoulder with my rig
Emily’s POV: I kept looking into his eyes as he moved his hands down to my waist and pulled me closer, making me gasp and swallow hard."I love you very much," he said, while I kept breathing heavily. "And because I love you, I don't want to rush into anything you're not comfortable with," he added. I blinked widely, realizing how understanding and considerate he was. I felt proud of myself for loving a guy who was selfless and humane, despite being an animal.“I don’t want you to feel any kind of pressure because you’re going through a lot right now. I want you to know that you can feel comfortable around me because we don’t have to do anything right now. It all can wait,” he told me and I blinked my eyes rapidly, feeling more love and passion for the man in front of me.“No,” I started and took a breath, before clenching his sleeves to keep him as close as possible. “I don’t want to wait. And I don’t want you to wait either,” I added and he kept staring into my eyes for a few secon
