Dahlia’s POV:

I feel his eyes on me the moment I visit the dining area Ayesha had shown me the first time.

Feeling his gaze on me, I felt uncomfortable. Despite the jacket covering my upper half, I knew he could still see my milky thighs which were left exposed. I was lucky to find a jacket. If I hadn’t, it would feel like walking out to the stage in a bloody strip club.

“What are you wearing?” he asked as his eyes rake over my body. I felt the urge to wrap my arms around me to hide, but his intense gaze kept me rooted in my spot.

“I told you there must have been some mistake,” I murmured, avoiding his eyes watching me intensely.

“No, I meant that.” He said, pointing to my jacket.

“I found it,” I said, looking at him. His lips pursed, a hint of displeasure flashing across his eyes.

My entire body stiffened, waiting for his next words.

“Nevermind, it is your first day,” he gritted.

“Come, sit.” He said as he beckoned me closer.

I stared at the ridiculous amounts of food on the table f

I’d avoided her for so long, hoping to escape this moment. But now, there was no turning back. She stood there, amber eyes wide, frozen in the doorway.“Valerian,” she said, her voice soft, “What are you doing here?”I tried to speak, but the words wouldn’t come. I couldn’t look at her without my wolf clawing at me to claim her, but my heart twisted painfully at the thought. ‘You can’t have her,’ I reminded my wolf, who growled at me in response. I sighed.“I—” I began, but then she stepped forward, crossing her arms.“You’ve been avoiding me,” she said bluntly, her tone coming out sharper now. “Why?”Her directness caught me off guard. My jaw tightened, and I looked away, my fists clenching at my sides.“Answer me!” she demanded.I snapped my head back to face her, anger flaring in my chest. I wasn’t angry at he

Dahlia’s POV:“I am sorry, I didn’t know,” he whispers, kissing my forehead before he cups my face. He tilts my chin to look into his piercing forest green eyes. I felt drawn to them, mesmerized in the way they seem to suck me into their depth. Then he pulled back and tucked some hair behind my ear. I looked away, but his fingers pressed on my chin tilted my head back.“I will have someone collect your luggage and bring it back to you,” he said, for which I was grateful.“In the meantime, the manager called me and said your new clothes will be arriving first thing tomorrow morning because of some delays. So you would have to make do with the clothes given to you for a while,” he said.“Okay,”He nodded to me with a smile. When he moves to leave, I tugged on his sleeve.“When will you be back?” I asked, not wanting to be left alone. “I’ll try to be back as soon as I can, Dahlia, then we’ll talk.”I am not sure what he wanted to talk about, but I nodded my head and watched him leave.

Dahlia's POV:It struck suddenly, a searing pain that radiated through my chest and brought me to my knees. I gasped, clutching at my ribs as my wolf whimpered in my mind.“What is this?” she growled, her voice trembling with a mix of anger and confusion.I didn’t have an answer. All I knew was that the pain wasn’t mine. It was his. Tatum’s. Or rather, it was his pleasure, twisted into agony by the bond. My stomach churned as bile rose in my throat.“Why does it hurt so much?” I whispered, though no one was there to answer. My wolf growled again, louder this time. “Follow it.”I didn’t want to. Everything in me screamed to stay put, to ignore the bond’s pull and pretend it wasn’t happening. But the pain was relentless, forcing me to move. My legs carried me through the halls like they had a mind of their own, each step echoing the dreadful pounding in my chest. The sounds hit me before I even reached the door.Moans, loud and unapologetic, rang through the quiet hallway. Dahlia’s POV:He stood there, leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed casually, his expression unreadable. His eyes roamed my body from head to toe, and a smirk crawled to his lips before he walks to me.“What are you doing?” he asked.“Getting away from your cheating ass,” I spat, my teeth clenching. He looked at me with the same smug smirk plastered on his face. He didn’t even look surprised, or guilty for what he had done. Just that same arrogance that always seemed to hang around him.“You’re leaving?” he asked, his voice dripping with smugness rather than concern.I didn’t respond. I just grabbed the handle of my bag and tried to walk past him, but he blocked my way effortlessly, stepping into the room. His hand shot out, grabbing my bag from me before I tried to snatch it back from him, but he was too fast.“Don’t,” he said, his voice low but forceful.I stopped, feeling the tug of the mate bond deep in my chest. It was like a string pulling me back toward him, the scent of

Dahlia’s POV:“Ah!” I cried out, my fingers digging into his back as I fought for control. Yet the bond flaring up to life inside me was strong. ‘You can’t resist the bond,’ His words echoed within me, going on replay before he thrusts forward again, sinking what’s left of his length deep into me. I moaned out loudly, my free hand slipping into his hair as I tugged. The feeling of his touch, his lips, and most importantly his cock buried deep into me all come together to form a delicious, irresistible sensation running through me, and I can’t think straight. He grunts letting go of my bound hand to squeeze my ass before spreading them apart and subsequently slammed into me. A deep, lewd moan escaped my lips as I took each and every one of his brutal thrusts, while he smashed his lips back against me and kissed me, hard and deep. I could feel his possessiveness through his thrusts, and the way he kissed me like he wanted to devour me whole made my entire body shudder in both pleasure

Dahlia’s POV:The sound of his fingers slipping in and out of my slick, dripping wet folds reverberated through the walls, before he shoved me towards the bed and I plop down face first. Suddenly my dress was ripped out of me, and he didn’t seem to care as the fabric tore on my skin, burning my flesh with the abrupt ripping and I hiss.“Tatum!”His body lowers against me, and I was about to give him a piece of my mind when his tongue laps on the surface of my skin. I resist the urge to moan, as what he is doing feels so damn good I could fall asleep with him doing it. Suddenly, he flips me on my back, making me look up into forest green eyes staring right down at me. A smile curved on his lips, before he plunges into me with his impressive length, and I had no choice but take it all in. I moan, my hands gripping the sheets. I have never felt so filled up in my stomach, he was too big, the more he moves inside me makes me realize how my body can betray me for the sake of pleasure.

Dahlia’s POV:I blink staring after his back before the whimpering sound from Ayesha’s lips made me whip my gaze back to her.“Please…” she whispers and whimpers, my jaw dropping lower when she places her hands on the ground and starts to crawl to me, like an animal.I gasp as my eyes scour every inch of her body, her dress torn apart forcefully exposing half of her. My eyes stopped at her ribs, before flicking to her back, which I haven’t noticed displayed a bunch of deep scars from what looked like thorned whips and countless bruises. I don’t understand. She looked perfectly well and healthy before. But, the intensity of her wounds, her scars tell me she’d suffered a pain I can’t even imagine. Some of her wounds were fresh, which meant they had only been inflicted upon her this morning. Then I looked back at her face and watched tears roll down her cheeks, her eyes blinking. Her hand reaches for my shirt, tugging it, and I drop on the ground beside her. “Ayesha…” my voice barely

Dahlia’s POV: “Doctor?” I stare at her while she continues tending on Ayesha. She mumbles something incoherent under her breath, I had to lean in to be able to hear her clearer. “Water…” I finally make out her words, and I quickly stand up when Scar stops me, handing over a glass of water to me. I nod and take it, putting the glass to her lips, and she sips a little before managing to drink it all. Hours passed before Ayesha slowly came to her senses, blinking her eyes she jolted awake, snatching the railing across the makeshift bed. Her brows crease as her eyes squint, when she turns her head and locks gazes with me. “You…” she trails off. Her brows knit. “What…How… What am I doing here?” She mumbles, looking down at her fairly healed wounds. “My wounds…” She stared at her brand-new body as if she’d just stepped out of a dream. I hear the door creak, making me whip my head and see Scar coming in from the door. “You passed out,” was the first thing she said. Ayesha look

Chapter 123 Hades’ POV: Three weeks later. Everything was revealed later that night. The dead bodies piled up in the room, Scarlet’s origin, and the rogues he’d been keeping in that private house Damien apparently gave to him after he’d been crowned prince. King Damien had been furious. Despite what he did, we chose to give him and the others a proper funeral, which will be coming up in the next few days. Hopefully by then, Dahlia will wake up, and accept the mark I’d given to her as my chosen mate. “How long has it been now?” Val asks, leaning against the door frame in my office. I shrug, “A few weeks. Three tops,” I reply and sigh. Val nods, and I look at him. “How’s Cathy?” I ask. “She’s fine, been trying to get her to take her supplements,” “Well, is she?” “Not without a bribe,” he chuckles, and I shake my head. Of course, he can get his woman to make love to him despite being pregnant. But then, it begs the question. “And what about Lola?” “Well, she doesn’t really

If she is lying, I’ll give you a go signal. Kill her.” I tell him just so he could shut up already. He nods, but I know the reason he’s acting suspicious is because the last thing he trusts would be damn rogues leading us the way. Our pack is no stranger to rogue attacks, and for his account, he lost both his parents in one.We are currently moving in a large group with my warriors in my front, following Scarlet’s lead. She looks over her shoulder at me, when suddenly she skids to a stop.Because we are not connected to pack link, she has no choice but to communicate to us through gestures. She whines and proceeds to point her nuzzle to a wall. She’s shitting me, right?“What am I looking at?” I ask when I realize I have delivered the question directly to the mind-link.“She tricked us!” My beta snarls, and jus

Diana comes forward when he tries to get up, lending me her strength to pin him down while he’s currently caught off guard. He growls, his eyes locked onto me in surprise, confusion, and wrath, but I don’t let go. Instead, I grip the knife tighter, pushing as much as I could before I twist. Suddenly, his mouth opens and more blood trickles from his lips. Then he makes a gurgling sound, and I watch him, my heart racing in my chest as I stare into his wide eyes. One minute turned to two as I held the knife buried deep in his heart while he constantly fights. His breathing becomes weaker and weaker by the second, and his inability to utter a word, I figured, is what prevented him from casting any spell. Then, he surprises me when he grabs my neck, yanking me forward. I shriek, holding onto the knife as he

Dahlia’s POV:I look at him watching me with lust and desire as he roams his eyes over my body. It heats and squirms underneath his gaze, yet I was certain it was none other than the bond making me feel such things. What else would make me look past whatever sick thoughts were going through his head, and everything he’d done up to present?Tatum leans forward, letting me know that somehow grabbed his attention. So I try to keep it by licking my lips seductively, placing my palms on the mattress before I begin crawling to him, stopping at the edge to spread my legs wide open.He growls, his eyes going to my center and I take this as a chance to put my arms around his neck as I pull him towards me. Thankfully, he obliges, but then he stands, shoving me back on the bed.Pushing my elbows against the mattress, I move my body further up the bed where the knife is. But Tatum doesn’t follow. Chapter 119Dahlia’s POVIt took me a few seconds to realize how many boxes were stacked in this one room. Sixteen. The only thing that gave me a little comfort was that I only recognized one of the scents. Thalia’s, which means recently, he’d only killed one of the women though I have yet to see proof of Scar’s. That woman is tough as gold. I’ve been holding on to small hope that maybe, she escaped. I also noticed how Tatum disclosed so little information about her, that strengthens my resolve to believe he is lying. As long as I have hope, I can hold out a little longer. I have to.It’s taking longer than expected for me to reject the effects of wolfsbane, leaving me still in a paralytic state though my mind is conscious. Tatum turned his back for a second, when I felt the mind-link open up.‘Dahlia!’ A deep voice boomed in my head, and there was no mistaking it.‘Hades,’ Relief would have flooded me right in this instant, if only Tatum haven’t somewhat sensed it as he strode towa

Although I can feel my lips and tongue, meaning I can only speak but not move for the next couple of hours, or more.As I come to, I hear my wolf groaning subtly in the back of my mind. That’s when I remembered, Tatum. I stepped outside my room for a while to check on the shouting when I bumped on him out of nowhere. Then, he pulled out a syringe and injected me with wolfsbane.Wolfsbane! I gasp to myself.Relief floods me to know that the wolfsbane hasn’t gotten to Diana, at least not yet.
