Chapter 138 : Long Day

As they walked out of the dark portal, Nicolas and I jumped to our feet.

"Why won't you tell us?" Jesse whined as the three boys walked into the living room at Taylor's house.

"Because it's not my place to say," Cole replied, and he turned to me. His horns and red eyes slowly faded, and I rushed to his side. I pulled him into a quick hug.

"Are you okay?" I pulled away and placed my hand on his cheek. "After that meeting, I thought you would come back here. I was worried."

"I'm fine," he smiled, but soon his smile faded.

"Is something wrong?" I asked, full of worry.

He shrugged with a faint smile. "Just tired."

"Oh well," I said. "Then you should rest. You have done a hell of a lot today."

"There was some decent information," Jesse added. "We already know how to get to the stone. We just need to find a fairy who can let us in."

"I know a guy," Cole replied. "But I think we should work on that after we get back from Italy. We can check the Spear of Destiny first, then go to the
