The moment I stepped into the packhouse hallways, a chill went down my spine. Not because of the cold—it was something different. A warning. A hint of darkness, of unnaturalness. I am not alone yet I see no one.

The atmosphere was vile. The smell of wood and heat was overlaid with something bitter, something rotting.

I gritted my teeth. Dark magic.

My grip on the hilt of my dagger tightened as I moved, silent and cautious. I had lived under Hailey's command for too long to dismiss my instincts. They had saved me too many times. And now? Something was wrong. An unnatural being is in with me.

All my instincts were screaming that something was horribly amiss.

I made the turn, my boots making a mere whisper against the floorboards. The packhouse was too quiet. Hailey's warriors were on high alert, but even they couldn't sense what I could.

Because this wasn't an enemy within our walls.

This was something otherworldly.

And then—I heard it.

A whisper. A soft, mock

CONNORThe air was thick with the scent of damp earth and rotting leaves. The full moon hung low in the sky, its light an unearthly glow on the forest. There was a storm on the horizon—I could feel it in my bones, in the way the wind blew whispers through the trees.I was not so easily intimidated. As the Bear King, fear was something I had lost long ago. But tonight?Tonight was different. My warriors were out in the land, watching the borders as they always did, but I knew they would not see what I had been summoned to find out. Or at least—who?I don't like this. The deeper I get into the forest, the more loudly my instincts scream at me to return. The trees rise higher here, their branches curled like skeletal fingers reaching for something unseen. The air is thick—wrong—charged with something I don't recognize. Magic.I was summoned. Summoned. As if some lower creature to heel. The very thought makes my teeth ache. I am the King of Bears. I bow to no one.And yet… here I am.Flor

ISAIAHThe air within my rooms had been heavy, the weight of hidden powers bearing down on my form. The smell of smoky sage clung to me, not willing to rinse the rot that clung to the edges of my visions.I sat before a single candle, the fire swaying as if it felt too that something was coming. My hands trembled above the divination stones, but I couldn't bring myself to cast them. I already knew. The balance was crumbling. Everything has been made unstable in all forms.Flora's return was unnatural. Death was irreversible—it was meant to be irreversible. But if she had died and gone through it, then something very old and powerful had intervened. Something that belonged nowhere in our world. And that left only one answer:David was not acting alone.I closed my eyes, struggling through the buzz in my head, trying to clear my mind. My power had been shattered for weeks, visions twisted and fragile. But tonight… I felt different.I stretched out a hand for my water bowl, reciting the

FLORAMy day had started with going to different tea parties, smiling and keeping fake facades of innocence and niceties just to create friendships that could be a source of funding for us because we had a long way to go. We needed connections from powerful humans and beasts alike and while I was told to do all I could to secure the Dragon Kings' loyalty the man had no known weakness except for the general known fact that he had no mate of his own and had been searching the entire continent for her all these years yet even I couldn't find her and by the gods, I tried but I found nothing and though my naive son believes I'm not aware of the secret plans he made in the dark, I knew everything. Azure had burned me badly, and a part of me did care for Logan, but my need to fulfil what my ancestors couldn't serve as a daily reminder for me to let go of my sentimental feelings and do what needed to be done. Hence I had put away all sentiments and did what needed to be done. Alexia would one

AURORAThe thrumming energy of the shopping quarter was a blissful contrast to the cold, calculating council sessions I'd endured since my arrival at the castle. I indulged in the change—I indulged in the giggling voices of hucksters, the scent of hot bread drifting from the bakeries, and the dappled dance of sunlight on the cobblestones. And above all, I welcomed the company of the two women at my side. I had missed them greatly. I had to go away for a while so education sakes hence we kept in touch via emails and chats but that was never good enough. I am so glad I am back but things have been unnecessarily tensed around here and they all needed a break hence I'm helping them have the much needed break they believe they do not need despite their reluctance. Alexia and Turtela were easy to get along with. They were the siblings I wanted but never had but Fate gave me them and it's been such a privilege and honor knowing them. Where Turtela was a bundle of light and warmth, Alexia ha

The Queen needed all the allegiances she could get and she has my loyalty and support. A woman who did what needed to be done is well desrving of respect and more.I stood at the cliffs, the howling mountain winds ripping at my face, my gaze on the valley below. His smell was far away, his normal path changed. I had been searching for hours, fury burning in my chest. He had never disobeyed me so, not until recently. My beast and I were bound in ways that no one else could understand. He was my other half, my fury, my fire. But lately, he had been leaving without speaking, vanishing into the interior of the nation, to reappear with some smell that I could never identify.Until today. The air stank of scorched earth, coals still faintly smoldering in the wake of Draco's tantrum. I followed the trail by instinct, boot

JADENI detected the scent of the fire before I was able to see him. That characteristic smell of burning coals, the rich dragon musk of smoke—it enveloped me like a stale warmth, a spark that kindled in my belly. For a moment, I questioned whether or not I'd dreamed it, if maybe my longing had played a trick on my nose.Kael had been a guardian, but more than that. He had been my anchor, my tormentor, my savior—all in one.I remember to this day the first time I had stood before him, a gangling pup not yet skilled at shifting, trembling at the sight of his attention. He had towered over me like a war god, his size as great and intimidating as the dragons he commanded."You are weak," he had said to me that day, voice rough, eyes slicing. "But weakness is a choice. I will not raise a coward."And he hadn't.Kael had been brutal in my training. He had broken me, torn me apart, bled me, made me hurt. But he had never abandoned me. Not ever. When I had fallen, he had made me get up.When

HAILEYThe moment I stepped into the courtyard, I could feel him. The energy at the castle became turbulent, unsteady, more potent than any other day because contrary to popular opinion, Turtela is not as tame as she presents herself neither are any of our kids but no outsider is aware of this but right now there's ancient magic of a dragon here. The Dragon King is here in person.Kael.The air was hot, thick with the scent of smoldering embers and dragon flames. I could feel him before I even caught sight of him, his presence as imposing as ever—a unyielding power, fierce but contained.Jaden stood beside him, his own face radiating with something I had not seen in years—pure, unfiltered happiness. He looked like the child I used to hold, the boy I had been forced to give up. And now, the man before me… he was whole, if only for this moment.Kael turned as I approached, his icy blue eyes meeting mine. There was a pause. Then—In a movement so swift, so seamless, that Jaden barely had

AARONThe very moment Aurora took her first breath here, the very moment that tiny fingers had wrapped around my own, I'd known that she wouldn't belong to me forever. She would live, she would grow, and at some point in time she'd find her own mate. It was how the universe was constructed. But realizing and embracing were two very different ideas.I sat at the big dining table in the great hall of the castle, watching my daughter. She was talking to Turtela and Alexia, her green eyes shining with laughter as she gestured with her hands. Her laughter was like music in the room, and I felt the familiar warmth in my chest.Aurora was my pride and joy, the most precious thing I had in this world. And I was not going to let her go.She was so small, so delicate, wrapped in the most dainty blanket Lyna had chosen with care. And yet even as a baby, she had a presence—a fire burning in her eyes, the same fire that burned in her mother's heart. I remember tracing my finger over her tiny fist,

HAILEY The moment I stepped inside the Fae Court, I knew this was a bad idea. Not that I feared them. No, the Fae had lost long ago any power they ever had to elicit anything more than annoyance in me. But that they'd taken it upon themselves to summon me, like I was some petty subject under their authority, brought my blood to a rolling boil. There was a hush that fell on the grand hall as I approached, my steps echoing on the shining crystal floors. The Fae lived and breathed beauty and lies, and their Queen was no exception. She lounged on her sparkling throne of woven silver and ivy, golden eyes unruffled, enigmatic.I remained standing before her, bowing my head by a fraction. "You are well aware, Your Majesty, that summoning in a Queen of my reputation is an insult worthy of war, aren't you?"The silence in the room intensified.I watched as the Queen's lips wobbled, her face a fleeting twitch of mirth playing upon her small face. "And yet you did."I smiled, but it was not war

ISAIAHThe sun had barely risen, but the castle was already alive with movement. The air hummed with tension, the aftermath of last night's claiming still potent with power. It was to be expected—three Alphas finally claiming their mate. The bond had taken hold, their powers intertwined with Alexia's, and now the whole of the supernatural world would feel the shift.I had expected much in my lifetime, yet watching destiny unfold before my eyes was always an occasion. However, unease sat heavy in my breast.Something was amiss.I stood on the highest balcony of the castle, looking out over the endless territories beneath me. The sky was cloudless, the air crisp, yet my mind elsewhere. I'd felt a stirring—a stirring beyond the triplet and Alexia connection. Something beneath the surface was twitching, an unseen energy crawling its way nearer. And it wasn't hostile.A soft shuffle at my rear had me turning.Hailey.The Queen strode purposefully, her presence commanding as always. But I

ALEXIAI'm tensed around the triplets, it's a full moon, my emotions are wild, my arousal potent yet I can't bring myself to loosen up; asides the fact that I'm two years older, I've always only seen the boys as my siblings but all of my impressions of them pale in comparison to this day.Jaden is the first to move towards me, spraying peppery kisses at my neck, my back and nipping at me with his fangs. A moan involuntarily slips out of me and Jermaine is suddenly next to him, as I try to keep a grasp on the emotions flying round me, he tears of my cloth while Jaden kisses me long and hard; I'm gasping for breath, breathless, lost and certainly unaware of my surroundings. At some point I'm lowered to the bed and Jackson is on me, his kisses are sweet, dominant and pleasurable and as I try to get used to the feeling, suddenly I feel long fingers in me, then two hot mouths on my nipples, it's too much, the pleasure is so heightened that I am lost and as my first climax rips through me,

  • CLAIMING HAILEY    CHAPTER 150: ULTIMATUM

HAILEYThe war room was as quiet as a tomb when I stood at the head of the long obsidian table, my eyes locked on Alexia. The tension was thick and heavy in the air, but I didn't care about anyone's discomfort. Not today.Alexia sat stiffly across from me, her hands clasping the wooden chair arms as if they would keep her anchored against the storm she knew she was about to encounter. I could see it in her eyes—the conflict raging within her, the turmoil seething her heart and mind.I had endured it long enough. The others watched, waited. Jaden, Jackson, and Jermaine remained against the walls, each mask a face. Turtela hovered near, her smile tinged, anxiety shading her countenance. Even Ryan, freshly recovering from what transpired between Flora and David, possessed a keen interest in the predicament before them.I stormed at them."Leave us."Jaden took a half step closer, his jaw compressing. "Mother—""I told you to leave us." My voice was as sharp as a razor, my order absolute.

Smoke writhed into the night sky like the agonized cries of the dying. That foul queen. My hands clenched at my sides as David and I ran through the dense forest, our cloaks whipping about us in the wind. My entire body ached from the fight, from the loss. Years of careful planning, of subtle manipulations, all undone in one night by Hailey and her abominable arrogance. And to add insult to injury—she destroyed the relic.Anger simmered beneath my skin, a fire that could not be extinguished.Hailey.That pesky, meddlesome, holier-than-thou queen. She thought she had killed me. She thought she had ruined my plan. But all she had done was delay the inevitable.I dug my nails into the nearest stone wall, my breath coming in short, furious gasps. I could still hear the crash of that vase shattering under her hands, still feel the l

AURORAI had seen much in my life—radiant feasts, epic battles, and even the hidden glories of the Fae realm—but nothing so awe-inspiring as the vista that stood before me now.A ruin. A complete and utter ruin. The great castle, hewn from the face of the mountain, now smouldered in ash, its remains clinging to walls that barely stood. A curl of smoke drifted into the air, its acrid blending with that of charred stone and spell. It was ruinously beautiful. And at its centre stood my Aunt Hailey. She was a picture of strength, hair streaming in the wind, golden eyes burning with the sting of battle. Beside her, Uncle Ryan stood unwavering, bloodied but very much alive, his wolf-like aura as dominant as ever.Jaden, Jackson, and Jermaine stood there silently, each one absorbing the devastation in their own quiet way. Alexia was keeping her mouth open, eyes staring in horror. Even Adrian, the ever-aloof Vampire King, raised an eyebrow at the show.Me, though? I smiled."That," I breathed

HAILEY My nostrils were filled with the scent of wet earth and blood as I ventured into David's spell-protected castle; they thought they hid it well but nothing in the supernatural world stayed hidden from me because I could easily see through runes, spells and any form of enchantment placed on anything, it's one of the biggest advantages of being Queen. I moved fast, my form tense with the kind of strain only war could ignite. The battle was drawing near. And I would be taking hell with me.I could make out the far-off mutterings of warriors patrolling the perimeter, oblivious to the storm that was gathering to pour down on their heads. They had stolen my mate and dared to incarcerate the Alpha King. They caught him unawares, while he was weak after returning from a battle yet they think it'd be that easy? Did they think to keep Ryan from me?Fools. My claws bared as I stalked toward the massive hideout nestled deep within the rocky terrain. The fortress was cut into the face of a
