I held Vivienne’s hand, playing with her fingers as we stood on the deck, waiting for the night’s big event to begin. I couldn’t take my eyes off her in that gown. She looked like she belonged in the spotlight.

“You know, you’re the most beautiful woman here,” I said while grinning. “You’ve outshone everyone, Vienne.”

Vivienne laughed softly and her eyes sparkled the same way the city lights did around the Harbor Night Cruise where we were in.

“Zeke, you’re just saying that. But thank you.”

Her cheeks turned a faint shade of pink, and I couldn’t help but feel lucky to be here with her. We were on this incredible cruise for a special awards night, and it was even more breathtaking than I expected. The city lights twinkled over the water, and the whole scene felt magical, like something out of a movie.
