Chapter 47: Betrayal and Danger

Stacy:

I held the door of Brake’s room, I felt paralyzed when I heard him groan and that voice came up. “Harder…” it’s Ashley’s voice.

“Yes, baby…” My heart pounded like a drum against my chest, Brake was having sex with Ashley in his room while I was thinking he was waiting for me. My eyes flooded with tears, and I could barely see through the flood of tears blurring my vision, I had no idea where I was going but I knew I had to get out of Brake’s apartment, as far away as possible. My breaths came in ragged gasps, the walls of the narrow hallway seeming to close in on me as I fled through it. I was suffocating.

I didn’t bother to shut the door, I ran the hallway, but with the echoes of their voices I just couldn’t stop hearing, maybe I should have shut the door. His voice. And hers. Ashley’s laugh, was sickly sweet, dripping with satisfaction. Their ecstasy was all in my head.
