Divorce! Divorce!

POV(FREYA),

I headed home straight after work and thankfully, no one was home.

I tried to think of where it all went wrong as I stared at my naked body through the bathroom mirror. The cold water hit my skin and cascaded down my body, I could feel my nipples hardening against the strange sensation as I closed my eyes.

I felt a hand grab me and pull me in, I tried to fight him off but Kai was stronger. He kissed my neck first, then he started exploring my body all over with his lips.

I almost gave in but the thought of him choosing Bianca over me made me angry, I pushed him away angrily and grabbed my towel.

I sat down in front of my bedroom mirror backing him, I hated him at this moment because he knew how much I loved him and how much I'm trying not to let go of him.

"Can we talk?" Hearing his voice only made me more angry. "yeah sure, let's talk about our marriage. The one that seems or is on the brink of falling apart." My voice was low and calm.

"It's not my fault Freya, you should be happy that Bianca is giving us a child."

"Our child? your child Kaiden, not mine." I said, almost yelling.

Kaiden took a step forward, his hands outstretched. "Freya, please-"

"Don't touch me!" my voice rose. "You're still in love with her, aren't you? All these years, pretending to love me, but it's always been Bianca."

Kaiden's face twisted, a mix of defensiveness and guilt. "That's not true. I love you, Freya. But Bianca...she has my child. I have to consider their well-being."

"Consider their well-being?" I dropped the comb in my palm angrily. "What about mine? What about our marriage?"

Kaiden's eyes dropped, avoiding mine. "I'm doing this for the Child, Freya. Not for Bianca."

"Save it, Kaiden. I know exactly what you're doing. You're using the baby as an excuse to go back to her."

Kaiden's expression was calm, but his eyes betrayed him, guilt was written all over it". "That's not even the point Freya, the most important thing is trying to set a balance if we are going to get a divorce or not."

my voice trembled, my eyes blazing with tears. "You're really going to do this, aren't you? Choose her over me."

"Think of this as a sacrifice, you and I both know you can't have a child. You can still be my wife after the divorce, we will keep it a secret. Nobody's going to know, that way we can still be together after our di-" I slapped him hard across the face before he could finish his sentence.

He raised his hand to hit me but stopped midway, glaring at me with burning eyes. He had never raised his hands on me before and he never would, but this was surprising.

"You disgust me Kai, you have changed so much that I can't even recognize you anymore. Is this really you? The Kaiden I know isn't a fool..." I paused as he slowly let down his hand.

"But you're a fool, you are-" "let's get a divorce" Kaiden cut me short and my heart skipped a beat as I stared into his eyes.

I didn't know how to feel but this didn't feel shocking for me anymore. "Okay, fine. Let's get a divorce." I pulled out my wedding ring forcefully and threw it to the floor.

"You will regret this Freya." He said, "trust me I won't. I learnt the hard way so I won't." My voice sounded cold at that moment. "You know you have to leave the house of you leave right?" Kaiden threatened me and I scoffed as I tried to hide the tears forming in my eyes.

I gave no response and slowly walked to my closet and took all the things I bought for myself that didn't involve his money. I was infuriated and angry, I knew how much I would regret this decision later. But I hated him so much, I didn't want to spend a moment with him.

I dragged my luggage down the stairs, hoping he would run after me and beg me to come back and it was just a joke. But it didn't happen, and in a moment. I found myself sitting on the bench at the subway with my luggage.

I let the tears flow down freely as I stared at the blank screen of my phone. The pain cut deep into my heart but the only thing I could do was cry.

I lost Kai.

The last bus for the day left before I could get aboard and I ran after it yelling and screaming but it didn't stop.

I finally stopped and wiped my tears with my sleeves, a drizzle led to a sprinkle and it turned into rain.

It poured heavily and I got soaked in the rain. I sent a text to Damien to come pick me up at the subway and he arrived very quick.

He didn't ask me questions and just covered me with his shirt and drove silently.

"Are you okay?" He finally asked me a question but this time, I wanted to tell him everything I felt.

"We got divorced 2 hours ago. I-i didn't know what to do Damien, I wasn't thinking straight..." Damien held my hand tightly and smiled at me for a moment before looking back at the road.

"It's going to be fine Frey, everything is going to be fine." He assured me without looking at me but I knew he meant it.

"Where are we going?" I asked and he slowly let go of my hand and continued driving with both hands.

"To my house, we're going to my house." He said calmly without taking his eyes off the road.

POV(KAIDEN),

It felt too unreal, watching her leave with so much venom in her eyes was something I didn't expect. Just a day or two and she would come running back to me, I know her more than anything.

I could still feel the pain of her palm on my cheeks, a painful reminder of the decision I made.

She was right, I didn't love her. I love Bianca, but Freya is a better woman. She was everything I needed, just that I didn't love her like I loved Bianca.
