Unwanted guest

Judith's POV,

Coming home from work used to be something I looked forward to, especially when I knew I would get to spend time with Amihan. But recently, that had changed. I found myself avoiding going home, preferring to spend time outside by myself rather than engage in conversation with her. It seemed like no matter what we talked about, she would find a way to bring up Maxwell, and that was the last thing I wanted to hear about. I knew she meant well, wanting to let me know how happy she was in her relationship but I just couldn't deal with it anymore.

Each day, I found myself loitering at the local restaurants and other places, just to kill time and avoid going home. I knew it was childish, but I couldn't bring myself to face Amihan. I tried to time my arrival so that I would be home after she had already gone to bed, and I could slip into my room without having to speak to her. The day's exhaustion had finally caught up with me, and all I wanted was the comfort of my bed and the
