Anticipation,

Amihan's POV,

My mom's words were simple, but they struck a chord deep within me. She was right - if he couldn't accept me for who I was, then he wasn't the one for me. But the thought of opening up about my past was still daunting.

"I know it's not easy," my mother continued. "But it's better to be honest from the start. That way, there are no secrets or surprises down the road. And if he does react badly, then you know he's not the right person for you."

She was right, of course. But the thought of telling him still made me nervous.

"How about this?" my mother suggested. "Why don't you try telling him a little bit about your past at a time? Start with something small, like a childhood memory. Then, as you get more comfortable, you can share more. Baby steps, you know?"

I thought about her suggestion. Maybe that would be easier, to start small and see how he reacted. And if he was supportive, then I could share more. It might be the best way to ease into it.
