“Walked right into that one, didn’t you?” Velkan said as he forced Chanda through the door of his chamber and pushed her to the floor. “You couldn’t wait to be in his arms again, not minding the disrespect you will bring to me?”

Chanda shakily got to her knees, and bowed before him, but she remained silent.

“You dare to be wrapped up in the arms of another man, for all eyes to see? Answer me!” He exploded, sending a stool flying across the room.

“Please,” She begged. “Nothing happened. Nothing at all.”

“Nothing?” His voice mocked her. “First, you force your way into being my Luna, then you openly flirt with your lover and you say it’s nothing.”

“He is not my lover, please.” She cried and held onto the hem of his pants.

“So, you are saying you don’t know Alpha Trenton? That you let a stranger put his arm around you?”

Lie, I dare you, Velkan thought as he looked down at her.

Refusing to believe that Chanda was his mate, Velkan had spent the past few days finding out all he could about C

Chanda placed her hands on her chest as she gazed out from her window in her chamber, admiring the fields and mountains surrounding the Goda pack. It felt just like old times to her, when she would sometimes be tied up and locked in a small dirty room as a form of punishment, for a certain number of days. But now, the room was bigger, cleaner and she was even being tended too. Just that this time around, the punishment seemed to be never ending. Velkan had kept her locked up for about two months.“He is just so hard headed and arrogant.” Leia said with disgust. “Dumb too.”A smile tugged at Chanda’s lips as she turned to Leia. “Thank you.”“For what? It was my son who put you in this room like you were some prisoner and not his Luna.”“For being here with me.”For the whole time that she had been banned from the outside world, Leia had always kept her company, daily. With the occasional visits from Mariam of course, who always had something colorful to say about Velkan.“Oh child.”

It’s really dark. Can’t we light a torch or … what? what? why did you stop?” Chanda said in hushed tones when Mariam halted suddenly at the entrance to the living room.“I thought I heard something.”“We should go back. I don’t need more troubles.”“Live a little, My Luna.” Mariam peeped around the corner, before dragging Chanda across the room to open the front door. “We are free.” She ran round to the back of the house, laughing and shouting.“Why are you screaming? I thought you said to be quiet.” Chanda ran after her.“Keep up, Luna.” Mariam stopped at the back gate of the pack house. “You have got little legs.”“I do not. You are just fast.” Chanda bent to her knees and tried to catch her bre

“Nothing like a good night out in the Goda village to lift your spirits.” Mariam skipped happily while Boris lead them up the road leading to the pack house.“Looks like we might have stayed out too long.” Boris said, looking up to the dull sky. “It’s almost daylight.” “The back gate will be unlocked by now. We could sneak in through there.” Mariam shrugged. “No one will see us there.”“I still don’t understand why the Lycan doesn’t put guards at the back of the estate during late and early times of the day. What if our enemies enter the house from there?” Boris asked.“They couldn’t. He has guards protecting the house itself. No one could pass the wolves guarding the back entrance to the house on the inside.” Mariam explained. “Unless, they are like us and know their way around, uh? She winked at him.“That true...” A grin tugged on his lips, but he frowned immediately, scratching his head. “Why do we need to sneak in though? We are allowed to go out.”Mariam smacked him on the bac

It hurts. Every part of his body hurts. Velkan moaned in pain, as he struggled to lift his heavy body up, so he could sit against the board of the bed. His vision was blurry and his throat was dry and burning. He tried to pry his eye lids open, so he can look around where he laid. What happened? He ran his hand down the left side of his body which was covered, poorly, in bandage and the smell of burning leaves filled the air, choking him. He glanced to his right side and saw a female figure, sleeping on a chair at the far end of the room.“Urgh.” He groaned as he stretched his heavy arm over to his bedside table and knocked a teapot to the ground to get the female’s attention. The woman sprang up immediately. “Lycan, you are awake.” She exclaimed and rushed to him. “You are not supposed to sit up. Your wound is still fresh.”“Who are you?” He croaked out. “Where am I?”“You are in your chambers, My Lycan.” The woman took out a warm cloth that had been soaking in a bowl filled with

"Velkan, you should sit please.” Chanda stuttered, trying to appease to him. “You must be in pain.”“Shut it!” Velkan snapped. “Just shut it.” He moved closer. “You think you are smart?”“What is wrong?” Chanda moved a step back.“Think you can fool me?” He reached out and grabbed her neck, lifting her an inch above the ground.Chanda held on to his wrapped hands on her neck. “Please Velkan. I… I… I can’t … can’t breathe.”Velkan stared into her bulging eyes for a moment before letting go. Chanda’s dress got caught on the top of a candle stand on the floor and ripped into two parts up to her waist, exposing her legs as she fell to the ground.Rex, his wolf purred wistfully and it annoyed Velkan. It was as if he only came alive at the sight if the one, he claimed to be their mate.“You left your chambers without permission.” He ignored the purring wolf.“I had to leave to help you.” Chanda said slowly. “You were in pain.”“Lies. “Prayers to the moon goddess.” Mariam who had been watching from afar rushed to Chanda’s side. “What has that monster done to you?” Mariam looked horrified. “Please Luna, get up. Everyone is looking at you.”The little crowd had increased as more people came around to look at the disgraced Luna. Chanda could hear the murmurs coming from them, but she didn’t really care right now. What had happened in that room? Chanda wondered as she lay on the sand, supported by Mariam hands, almost naked with her torn dress. Her mind had not really registered on the fact that Velkan just sent her to live as a servant, because she was still stuck on what had happened between them. She remembered she had felt when he had touched her, sucked her. She had never that way before, it had been as if her body had floating away. But the strangest part was that she had wanted it. She didn’t know what it was but she had wanted Velkan to do whatever he wanted to her, in that moment. Before he had gone crazy. He

“Lupe was just being mean.” Chanda whined as she and Aiden took an evening stroll. He had caught up with her while she had been on her way to the servant’s kitchen.“I did warn you to stay out of trouble.” Aiden laughed loudly.“I was minding my business, but then she rudely suggested that since Mariam was so protective of me, the least I could do was lend her some of my Luna clothes so she won’t look like a freak.”“And what did you tell her?” Aiden asked with an amused look on his face.“That I thought she was being silly. Mariam looks normal and doesn’t need fancy clothes.”“That’s easy for you to say because you don’t need it.” Aiden stopped, turned and smiled at her. “You always look beautiful, no matter what you wear.”Chanda felt her heart flutter as she stared into his eyes. There was something about his smile, that always made her feel safe. Like she was the only woman he sees. She got up from her bed and wobbled over to open it.Lupe stood, already dressed up, looking very annoyed.“Morning, Lupe.” Chanda rubbed on her eyes and looked up to the sky. It was still pitch black. “Is there a problem?”“You are to get dressed this instant.” She said coldly. “The Lycan has ordered for you to be in charge of cleaning the pack house from now on. You are to tend to all the wings in the house, the living room and the kitchen.”“What?” Chanda’s mouth opened in shock.“You heard me, Omega. Now, move. Don’t bother to shower. You can do that later. The Lycan wants you finished before the break of dawn as he doesn’t wish to see you in the house when he returns from his morning run.” She said, before turning away.“Why? Thank the goddess, the Lycan didn’t sink that sword deep into your neck.”“Leave me be.” She pleaded. His voice was causing her a headache. “Go away if you won’t help me.”“The doctor is coming.” He said. “But really, how could you do that? The adrenaline was high in the camp and around the pack was on the high, as everyone went about in preparation for the events of the day.Chanda too was busy getting ready for her… plan. She was hurdled at the back of the camp, carefully applying the poison she had made on every inch of her sword’s blade. She had waited till the morning of the competition to make it, so as to prevent anyone from accidently using it. That would have been disastrous, since she didn’t bother with making an antidote to the poison. There was no need. Her plan was simple. Most Alphas in the West region train their female children to have simple fighting skills, and Mia had not been exempted from said training. So, Chanda was going to challenge Mia to a duel, and all she had to do was make sure to cut Mia with the blade, ensuring the poison mixes with her blood. Then she would feign defeat and simply wait back for the announcement of the sudden death of the new Luna to be.“I wonder if Velkan would get backl

Anything. And only available victim was the poor punching bag she was currently pummeling.“Evil! Evil! Evil.” Chanda repeated while throwing jabs at the bag. “Evil!”“It’s just a punching bag, Serafina.” Mariam sighed from under the tree shade where she was lounging, idly flipping through the pages of a book. “How evil could it possibly be?”“I am just so… Arggh!” Chanda screamed at the top of her lungs.“I can see that. But it’s not just you.” Mariam closed the book and sat upright. “Ever since that witch and her mother moved into the pack, I have felt the urge to squeeze the life out of everything.”Assuming the witch to be Mia, the cause of her despair, Chanda turned her attention fully to Mariam.“Witch, you say?”“She couldn’t even wait for the official announcement of her engagement to the Lyca

She claimed it will help the pack members get used to seeing her in the pack with him, since he was yet to make an official announcement of their engagement. He thought it was her sneaky ploy to make him spend some alone time with Mia. You must take great pride in leading them and I am deeply honored to become their Luna. Thank you for accepting me.”“You are welcome.” Velkan responded, pleased with her manner.
