Sally did not spare Xavier a glance. She had no interest in the affairs of York Corporation.

Xavier chuckled. "Mrs. York, I wouldn’t be here without a reason. Haven’t you heard? There's been a major shake-up at York Corp. Nash has gotten rid of all of the previous CEO’s people. The company is truly his now."

Sally responded with a nonchalant "Oh," without adding anything more.

Undeterred, Xavier continued with a smile. "Mrs. York, if York Corporation were still under the old leadership, you wouldn't be stuck in a place like this. I heard you wanted to go abroad, but financial support has been an issue. And honestly, that's all because Nash has monopolized everything."

"What are you getting at?" Sally finally spoke, but her expression remained calm.
