Chapter 3. Forced to Break Up

Hearing her grandmother’s words, the color of Leona’s face suddenly faded. She picked up the photo on the ground and looked at it. It was a photo of herself sleeping with a man!

She threw the photo away! What is this! Why are there these photos? !

And...how come these pictures are in grandma’s hands!

“Grandma...” She opened her mouth, wanting to explain, but found she had nothing to say, because everything in the photo was true!

Mom tried to explain. “Mom, Leona, she...”

Before her mother could finish her words, her grandmother irritably slapped the table and shouted. “Who gave you the courage to argue! The old woman picked up the teacup and threw it hard at her mother’s forehead.

Leona saw that her grandmother was about to throw something again, so she turned around and hugged her mother.

The teacup fell right onto Leona’s back and shattered to the ground.

Leona felt a burning sensation on her back.

At this moment, the TV finally ended its long commercial broadcast and went straight to a news story, and a photo was released.

Seeing Leona’s photo on TV, her grandmother suddenly lost her temper. She took a stick in her hand and hit both mother and daughter.

Leona’s heart slowly became colder. If her father couldn’t protect them, how long could this family last?

Over the years, my father has always been a coward. Every time my mother was beaten and scolded by grandma, my father would either stand helplessly or kneel and apologize afterwards, yet nothing changed.

Grandma shouted. “I’m not dead, I can still cook this food! Get them out of here, go!” After saying that, she turned to the kitchen and actually started cooking.

From this moment on, Leona decided that she would take her mother away and never come back!

Leona already knows that we were wrong, we will never do anything like that again!”

Grandma held her knife and chopped cabbage for a long time, but the cabbage didn’t even make the cut!

Then she glanced at her daughter-in-law and said, “Okay, okay, cook quickly, then go and kneel in front of the ancestral memorial for two days and two nights!”

Leona looked at the two people in the kitchen and the other person who was sitting on a chair smoking silently, and felt there was no way she could stay any longer.

She got up, picked up the luggage she had just brought but hadn’t opened yet, and set off back again.

Leona suddenly grabbed her phone tightly, feeling a sharp pain in her heart.

It’s been two years, two full years of relationship, how can you just let it go? Emotions are not balloons. A needle can treat it as if it never existed.

Leona could only hold herself in a small corner like an ostrich, passively refusing to answer Rick’s repeated calls.
