Chapter Seventy-One

The drive back to the city was long and filled with an eerie silence, no one seemed to utter a single word as they were all preoccupied with their own thoughts.

Scar was silently sleeping, with her head leaning on Seb's shoulder, occasionally she'd stir in her sleep when seemingly having nightmares. Seb tried his best to call her own when that happened but it was still not that effective.

Alas, they eventually arrived at Scar's place, the place was quiet and they could only tell that there were people there by the lights turned on in the house, the streets were dark and only lit by dimly lit street lights that probably needed fixing soon.

Lucas walked ahead of them and knocked on the door, inside the house, Nat was on the couch waiting for them to call, text, or anything with news but since they left, they didn't contact her. She was scared for Scar, Lucas, Skye, and Seb, she wondered what happened to them, if they were alright or even alive.
