Chapter 78 The Assassination

"Damn it! You're such a troublemaker!" Maxwell muttered under his breath as he dragged the terrified Flora towards the nearest exit. He should have let her go and fend for herself, but his grip on her hand remained firm, unable to let go.

Did he not want her to die? He didn't even care that she might drag him down! If something happened to him today, it would be because of her inexplicably complex feelings!

"Where is the emergency exit?" Maxwell asked coldly.

Flora, who had a moment of clarity upon hearing those words, pointed in another direction and said, "Over there, follow me." She grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the direction of the emergency exit.

However, instead of leading him to the safety door, Flora led him into the employees' break room. Several lazy employees were startled by their intrusion. Before they could utter a word of complaint, their attention was captivated by the astonishingly handsome Maxwell, their faces filled with both surprise and admiration.
