Chapter 2 Lost Her First Night

Flora was pressed down on the seat by someone, shouting angrily, "Who are you? Why are you kidnapping me?! Hey!"

The men seemed oblivious to her shouts and ignored her completely. Their mission was simply to apprehend her, so they had no intention of engaging in conversation.

After shouting for a while and realizing they would not pay any attention to her, Flora turned her gaze toward the window. Outside the window, the passing scenery was unfamiliar to her, and they seemed to be getting further and further away from familiar territory. Fear began to well up inside her. They hadn't said a word, and she wondered where they were taking her.

The car veered onto a winding mountain road, with a vast expanse of ocean to the right. Despite the magnificent view, Flora had no interest in admiring it. Her mind was consumed by worry about what was to become of her.

After almost an hour of driving, the car finally slowed down and entered a large mansion. By this time, the sky had started to darken. Flora looked at the somewhat retro mansion and couldn't help but ask again, "Why have you brought me here?"

The men still didn't answer her. One of them opened the car door, forcefully pulled her out, and escorted her into the house.

Flora stumbled a few times under their forceful push and glared at them, annoyed, saying, "Don't touch me, I can walk on my own!"

Regardless of what these hooligans wanted with her, she couldn't let herself be overpowered by them!

After passing through a spacious living room, Flora was led upstairs, having taken numerous turns. Finally, they stopped in front of a wooden door. One of the men lightly knocked on the door and pushed it open just a crack. He respectfully addressed someone inside, saying, "Master, Miss White has been brought here."

Flora suddenly took a sharp breath, not because of the strong men around her, nor out of fear. It was... the icy cold air seeping through the crack in the door that made her feel like she was standing in front of an ice cellar. Why had they brought her to an ice cellar? Were they planning to freeze her to death?!

And was the "master" they referred to inside alive or dead? Just as she was in shock, a lazy voice came from inside the room, "Let her come in."

The man swung the door open, pushed Flora into the room, and closed the door again. Flora stumbled a bit, almost falling onto the carpet, but she exclaimed and managed to steady herself. She surveyed her surroundings, noticing that the room's lighting was dimmed by thick curtains. It was dim, and she finally realized that this was not the ice cellar she had imagined; it was an extremely large and luxurious bedroom.

What puzzled her now was whether there was an air conditioner in the world that could produce such low temperatures. Could it be a new product she was unaware of? She absentmindedly touched her arms, her eyes widening as she took in her surroundings.

"Stand still, let me have a good look at you," a cold, indifferent voice sounded from beside her.

Flora froze for a moment, then followed the voice with her gaze, finally seeing a tall, slender figure in the dimness. It was a man, and there was something vaguely familiar about him. Although she couldn't clearly see his face, she could still sense the aristocratic aura emanating from him. He was a very tall, well-built, and handsome man, exuding a chilling aura, just like this ice cellar-esque grand bedroom!

At this moment, he was wearing a snow-white robe, standing in front of the curtains, holding a small telescope in his hand, obviously just observing the scenery outside the window. As he raised the telescope, placing it far in front of his eyes, he scanned Flora's entire body through the lens.

Flora's intuition told her that this man was not ordinary. Just his icy aura alone was enough to make her heart race. She couldn't bring herself to meet the gaze of this chilling figure in front of her.

However, when he was using the telescope to examine her, Flora could no longer bear it. Frustrated and angry, she exclaimed, "Hey! Are you crazy? Why are you looking at me like that!"

With a bang, the sound of the telescope smashing onto the table resonated. The enchanting man finally took action. He lifted his long legs and took two strides to stand before Flora. He gripped her shoulder with one hand and pinched her chin with the other. Regardless of which hand it was, the force was so strong that it made Flora want to cry!

"Hey, let go of me!" Flora gritted her teeth against the pain and instinctively began to struggle.

The man paid no attention to her shouting and didn't give her a chance to break free. He lowered his head and carefully examined her beautiful face, taking his time. Then he leaned in, and forcefully planted a rough kiss on her lips.

Flora was terrified and stunned. This despicable man was kissing her?! Was he out of his mind? Kissing her on their first meeting?! And why couldn't he kiss properly? A wave of pain emanated from her lips. Immediately after, a strong, metallic taste of blood spread between their lips and teeth.

Flora was shocked, panicked, and in pain. All she could do was struggle, struggle with all her might. In doing so, she lifted her foot and stomped ruthlessly on his foot. His lips paused for just a second before resuming even more forcefully.

His hand moved from her shoulder to her neck, exerting just a little force, and Flora found herself gasping for breath. Her complexion grew paler and paler, the metallic taste in her mouth became stronger, and her consciousness became increasingly blurry. And yet, she still had no idea what was happening!

She had no idea who this man was or why he was treating her this way. The last thing she remembered was the man ripping off his robe, revealing his muscular back, and a lifelike dark blue dragon suddenly appearing before her eyes, looming over her as if it wanted to devour her in one gulp!

"Who are you exactly?" Flor asked in a stern tone once again, half of her body forced to lie on his legs, no longer struggling or resisting, because she knew it would be futile. Deep down, she was reluctant to let go of his body!"I am your lover, your husband," Maxwell whispered in her ear, holding her body close again and assessing her rapidly changing expression. There was excitement in his heart as he said those words, and he reached out to tidy her clothes."It's not possible..." Flora shook her head in horror and said, "My husband is Henry!"Maxwell glared at her angrily and asked, "I was just about to ask you, how did you become Henry's wife?" The hand that was once caressing her tightened its grip, causing Flora to wince in pain. She furrowed her brows tightly, enduring the pain he inflicted on her."I..." Maxwell's expression froze, and his anger erupted instantly from within him. He shouted, "What did you say? Say it again if you dare!" Flora was dead? Who dared to say that she was dead? Who dared to let her die?Everyone knew that his shout, his anger, was just an attempt to avoid and mask the truth. What's the use of refusing to admit it? Flora wouldn't come back to life because of this, she wouldn't return to his side because of this!"Big Young Master, this is the truth. Miss Flora was killed by Chiyoko Tokugawa!" Darren reiterated this painful fact, restraining the danger of being beaten up by Maxwell. When he received this news, he was also shocked and immediately came to personally inform Maxwell instead of telling him over the phone. He was afraid that Maxwell might do something irrational and harmful!"It's impossible! Chiyoko doesn't have the guts!" Maxwell shook his head and spoke coldly.
